No one will answer the phone, return calls or call back if you try to make an online appointment to get your hearing aids fixed. Thr aids i got are crap. I've tried calling multiple times over the last month and either get a ringing phone and no answer or a recording and no call back. I even tried several times to make an appointment online and no one will call me. Im out over 2000k out of pocket for hearing aids that I cant use. read more

My experiences at Metro Hearing on 59th Ave and Thunderbird has been perfect. The doctor there, Dr Grotsky, is so pleasant and makes sure all my questions are answered and fully explained. They make you feel like they are glad to see you from the time you walk into the door until you leave. You'll be greaeed by this great receptionist who I am sorry I'm not sure of her name. She is either Michelle or Nichelle I hope but she is the best. She's pleasant and so helpful. I just got updated aids from Dr Grotsky that help with my tinnitis. They have done wonders for me and I am so appreciative. The last time I saw Dr Grotsky, a week or so ago, I told her I enjoy coming to her office - every other doctor I have to see makes me have high blood pressure. If you need hearing aids, please check them out. Outside of being fantastic people, they do really good work. Thank you Metro Hearing. read more

My experience at the 59th and Thunderbird location was not good overall. First, there were end-of-year delays that they blamed on my insurance company policies, which was annoying but manageable even though my testing was done in December. When I would call, the phone rang in a random Metro Hearing office and I'd have to leave a message. There were issues in getting my hearing aids ordered, confusion on their part about what my insurance was covering, and a lack of communication about the status of everything from the insurance approvals to the final delivery and fitting of the hearing aids. I had to manage the whole process with the help of my insurance company, which was something I'd never experienced...the insurance company working harder to get me care than the provider. read more

I have been a patient of Metro Hearing for more than 40 years. I have been impressed with how the Metro Hearing staff keeps up with the latest hearing aid technologies. My current hearing aids, Oticon Opn, are the best I've ever had! They enable me to hear better while I have phone conversations, watch videos on my computer and watch television. The staff is great! I highly recommend Metro Hearing! Lori B read more

Horrible from start to finish. They never have the same doctors when you go back. My mom has bought 2 sets of hearing aids and still need to go elsewhere. The doctor has a terrible attitude read more

I don't normally write reviews, but I feel that people need to know how these people operate. I went 9/12/19 to get a hearing test knowing full well I needed hearing aids. It is not the test or anything that I have a problem with. It is the way they attempt to get more money out of the patient. They told me that my insurance would only pay for 50% of the $7000 hearing aids. I had called the insurance before my appointment and was told by the insurance company that I was covered 100% because my deductible and out of pocket maximum had been met. They also tried to steer me to the more expensive aids. It really upsets me that these people take advantage of the older population. Shame on you Metro Hearing. I hate the fact that I have to give them 1 star to be able to post this review. An update to this review, I am awaiting my hearing aids from a different provider and guess what they told me that I am covered 100%, no out of pocket costs. So really shame on you Metro hearing and associate, you are dishonest, greedy and a ripoff. read more

According to the internet about 5% of people have disabling hearing loss. Only 20% or so get hearing aids. If you are in that group or heading that way I would recommend meeting with the staff at Metro Hearing in Glendale. I did a lot of research on equipment and providers once the inevitability of my own hearing issues mandated I take action. From my first contact with Metro Hearing the staff has proven itself knowledgeable, responsive and genuinely invested in my success with hearing aids. Hearing aids represent a major financial investment but it's not an area where I felt I should economize. While the initial outlay is significant, competent follow up and support is critical. This is where Metro hearing shines. My first and primary contact was with Dan Trimble who is a board certified audiologist. Dan returned my initial call within hours and spoke at length regarding options and services available. I had a current examination from another provider and we were able to use those findings in fitting... which happened on my first visit. The improvement was a game changer for me. Given the extensive damage to my hearing and inherent limitations as a result, Metro was able to fit me with 2 devices which maximized my potential. Dan fine tuned my devices to my specific hearing losses using "real ear measurements", a procedure not provided by hearing aid technicians (Costco) or even most audiologists. This test is invaluable in getting the most from your device. The model which was recommended for me was the Oticon Opn1 which increases what I can hear, compensates for ambient noise and provides a significant measure of noise reduction and decreases perceived tinnitus. Subsequent to my initial visit and follow ups I have contacted Metro hearing for assistance with learning my way around these new devices. Metro has responded promptly with accurate and pragmatic assistance and accommodated me by phone and in person with a quick resolution in every instance. I am very confident in the staff at Metro Hearing. Virtually everyone in the office is both professional and friendly and seem genuinely invested in my satisfaction. I have become dependent on my hearing aids and appreciate knowing Metro will be there to help meet my needs. This is my only contact with a hearing aid provider so I have nothing to compare the experience with but I cannot imagine another provider doing more. By the way honey, I am sorry... You don't mumble. read more

I needed a repair, it was completed on time and with a smile. Great service. Also want to mention that the staff there were so nice and friendly - there was another customer there who was an elderly gentleman and the staff was so nice and friendly to him and his wife, it really was amazing to see such kind and gentle assistance to these people. I was really touched by this and wanted to say so. read more

I have purchased 4 hearing aids over the years and always received great service. There has been times that the vendor has got the order wrong and they alway go out of their way to make it right and then some. In this day and age, it seems to me that it is hard to find a company and an individual that is truly dedicated to taking care of the consumer. I am very happy to say that I have found a business and provider that unequivocally have the best interests of their customer at the forefront. The business is the Scottsdale location of Metro Hearing (11000 N. Scottsdale Rd.) and the provider is Dr. Chris Cummins-Beagle. I truly cannot come up with enough expressive words to state how happy I am with Dr. Beagle and Metro Hearing. Dr. Beagle spent all the time necessary with me to resolve the hearing aid issues I was having. When Dr. Beagle was finished making a considerable number of programming adjustments to my hearing aids, I was able to hear better than I have ever been able to hear since I began wearing hearing aids about seven years ago. I highly recommend Dr. Chris Cummins-Beagle, and Metro Hearing, to anyone that has hearing loss or hearing issues. You will be very pleased and happy that you went to see her! Gary read more

What a great place! A friendly and professional staff that makes you feel relaxed right away. I had a great experience learning about my options and I knew going in that I needed hearing aids. I'm so glad that I have found a place that I can count on now and in the future for all my hearing needs. read more

Dr. Kelly Halterman of Metro Hearing has been such a great help to me solving my hearing issues. I had my first hearing test in years with Dan. He explained everything he would be doing throughout the exam. He was very personable and you can tell he loves what he does. I feel it's important to get an exam from a professional for the best results. I will definitely recommend him to my family and friends. read more

After extensive research, I decided I would try Dr. Dan Trimble to help me with tinnitus. I would have to say, his services and level of expertise were both OUTSTANDING! This was by far the most comprehensive hearing exam I have had life-long (took just under an hour for thoroughly testing my ears). Additionally, Dr. Trimble spent significant time with me explaining my test results and answering my questions. We have a plan of action now in place to address my issue. Bottom line? I am thrilled by the quality of services provided by both Dr. Trimble and his staff (i.e. receptionist, very friendly and excellent at her job). Highly recommend to ALL who have a need for a top notch audiologist. FYI facility was great, and Dr. Trimble was right on time. read more

After giving me a hearing test in 2010, a Metro Hearing audiologist told me I needed hearing aids. I bought one, but noticed no difference in my hearing. He assured me that without it, my hearing would get worse faster. Two years later he tried to sell me new, improved aids for both ears. I decided to get a second opinion (actual three more opinions). All three said I was not yet ready for a hearing aid. I just had my hearing retested by yet another audiologist. She said I was still not yet ready for a hearing aid. When I told her that Metro Hearing had me wearing one for two years, 7 years ago, she expressed surprise. Take home message: if possible, get tested by an audiologist that does not sell hearing aids. If you can't, at least get a second (or third) opinion. Buyer beware. read more

I've worn hearing aids since the year 2000, and Metro has been my provider since 2002. They have a full selection of aids in various styles and prices, and their service is superb. And in the hearing-aid business, service is everything, I've learned. The original provider I went to could never get my aids adjusted correctly and only the left aid was usable for me, as the first company could never get the right aid adjusted properly. I finally gave up on that first company and tried Metro. On the very first visit, the audiologist was able to get that right aid adjusted to where I could actually wear it and what a difference ! Actually hearing in stereo ! I have had deteriorating hearing for the last 15+ years, and it is now a very significant loss to the point that it is considered severe. Less than 20 years ago, before digital aids came out, I would have been hard-pressed to be able to hear anywhere near as well as I do now, with my aids from Metro. My current audiologist has been helping me at Metro for 10 + years now, and he does a great job for me. I am one of the few patients where the hearing test results are just a starting point and it usually takes at least a few visits to get a new set dialed in, or an existing set dialed in, after a new hearing test. I know that I am high-maintanance, but Metro never makes me feel like I am putting them out because I require more service than the average patient. On the contrary, the staff and my audiologist are extremely patient with me and even taking more time than most people require, we always do get them dialed in. Having a significant hearing loss is a real challenge, and can be emotionally draining. Having Metro Hearing on standby for me, is comforting and reassuring. Thanks, Metro for your great service, support, and dependability. I am truly grateful for you. read more
