Went there, got a surgery and then was recommended to my neurologist after diagnosis. Biggest issue I had was with Antoinette,her FMLA/ada side kick. She wrote my work return to work location instead of putting work from home and it screwed up everything!! Whenever I tried to get her to fix it, she denied my request and told me to go to neurologist. This surgery I had might of knocked my health off balance and takes no responsibility for my new vertigo symptoms, I'm having issues with day to day life, driving, being that I have peripheral vertigo and she just shrugged me off to the next specialist. Do not go to Dr. Stephanie Warrington for ANY type of nose surgery. I had a septo-rhinoplasty done in June of 2024. She showed me her previous work and it looked promising. After recovering, I noticed a bump start to grow on the bridge of my nose. I went in and she kept dismissing me and telling me nothing was wrong. Also, any question we would ask her regarding the surgery or my nose she would act very confused, like she didn't know what she was talking about. After pushing and pushing that something wasn't right, she started steroid shots in my nose which helped, and then stopped them. So of course, the bump grew back even worse and she proceeded to tell me that it was scar tissue and then went back to saying nothing was wrong with my nose. We asked her to go back in and fix her mistakes because I was very unhappy with my results, considering we paid out of pocket for this. She refused to fix anything and said we would have to pay for a revision if she went back in. She offered a discount, which was equivalent to almost nothing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS SURGEON!! I hope your experiences were better than mine. read more

My daughter went to AOC when she noted a painful mass growing in her neck. It had been growing for about 3 months. Initially she thought it was an enlarged lymph node as she'd had an upper respiratory infection. When the mass was not resolving, and in fact growing, she saw Dr Chetan Gujrathi at AOC. Dr Chetan was not only condescending, he was dismissive and told her to return in 1-2 months if the mass on her neck was still hurting. She waited a bit more but the pain to her ear and jaw increased, headaches became severe, her tongue and face began going numb, and she began to have trouble swallowing then shortness of breath. She went to see her primary care who immediately ordered CT of her neck then MRI of her head/neck. Turns out she has two tumors in her neck, both in the carotid space, one wrapped around her carotid artery. Poor, poor care. We've had to go elsewhere for care. read more

To begin with, they were 50 minutes late calling me back to the exam room. After the nurse got my vitals I waited another 15 minutes for the doctor. As it turned out she wasn't able to help me so she referred me to a different specialist. But that's probably a good thing since she showed no empathy or compassion for what I'd been dealing with for over a year. Even when she found out that I'd been dealing with cancer during that same time she offered no empathy. She never once smiled during my visit. Not even when she walked in and introduced herself. I probably wouldn't want to go back to Dr. Warrington anyway so I guess it worked out for everyone. read more

I had an appointment for 10:20 a.m., checked in at 10:08a.m., still haven't been called and it's 11:15 a.m.. Thank goodness I didn't have anything else scheduled this a.m. The receptionist just told me they were a little behind, I'd say the r a lot behind. We'll see how it goes from here. Not real happy right now, but I've been waiting to see my DR. For quite some time since he cancelled the last appointment. Everyone that has checked in prior to me has been called back to see their Doctors??? The least they could do is give us an update, Customer Service is lacking big time in this area. I scheduled our daughter's appt in AUGUST, and spent an hour on the phone confirming Dr. Chapel was taking ped clients, taking clients who were cochlear implants, accepting our insurance, etc. Called yesterday(Thursday) for her appt (scheduled for Monday), asking if there was any paperwork I could fill out in advance since our daughter is ASD, a toddler, and bilaterally cochlear implanted. Nope. Which is fine, has to be done in the office on their tablets, okay? See you Monday. ONLY TO GET A CALL AN HOUR AGO STATING DR. CHAPEL IS NOT TAKING PATIENTS, AND THE ONLY REFERRING PROVIDER IN THE PRACTICE WHO CAN IS IN MESA. Plot twist: The only reason why we need an ENT in the first place is to have them send in a referral to insurance to cover the rechargeable batteries that are $350/battery (4 processors, meaning $1,400 out of pocket). read more

I went to see a doctor at the Highland office. I told him why I was seeing him (3 different issues). He said, "Tell me the one you want help with the most." WTH does that mean!?! He can only help me with one issue and not the others?!? After a quick exam and telling me what I already know he said there's nothing he can do. Really?!? I'm supposed to live in pain?!? Zero Star! Made appointment with Dr. G after getting out of ER due to major headache related to sinus issues, takes 3 weeks to see doc?? After major debilitating headache with ER visit (I have never been to ER except when I cut half of my thumb off). They call me and make me reschedule because Doc will be gone. I modify my schedule to adjust for poor planning. Show up to Office, and there are approx 15 people in waiting room. Not bad, but kind of concerning. I got there early to make sure all paperwork was completed on time for appointment. Appointment time comes and goes, and I am still waiting, now 25 people in waiting are, social distancing not even possible. Half hour after appointment time, nothing. 45 minutes after appointment time, still nothing. I approach desk staff and ask how much longer. She goes to the back and tells me that they will call me up in 5 minutes. I turn around and look and there are 32 people in the waiting room, my chair is now taken and I had had enough. I told Desk Staff to cancel my appointment, I will not be treated like this. I walked out and called another ENT. Got appointment for 5 days away. To make it worse, AOC Desk Staff calls me the next to reschedule the appointment they had already rescheduled!!! She says "Oh I thought your name seemed familiar". Really? If you need timely answers, I'd find a different Doctor's Office! This practice's front office is terrible at the basic task of scheduling and they wasted five worrisome weeks when they realized they booked me with a doctor that can't help me! I was referred to Dr. Rothman in Mesa for a mass on my jaw early in October. It was going to be 3 weeks before I could be seen. Yeah, I get it, specialist, etc., fine. Two weeks later I get a call and they tell me Dr. Rothman doesn't take my insurance and I needed to see Dr. Gujrathi, another Head & Neck Surgeon within the practice, at the Highland Office. Why did it take 2 weeks to figure this out? Dr. G as they refer to him can't see me for another month! (heavy sigh). Then, one week before my appointment, I get a call saying that "Dr. Gujrathi "doesn't work on faces"! One, how did the scheduler not know this, and two, these are Head & Neck Surgeons; and this doctor "doesn't work on faces"? Seriously?!?!? So, I need to be seen by another doctor, and his next availability is in January!!! If I ran my business like this, I'd be out of business! I told the scheduler how I felt, and I could only imagine the eye roll, and the shrug of her shoulders when I said "never mind, I'll find another doctor". read more

Making an appointment is quite difficult, as the physicians are booked out at least 2 months. Established patients do not have same day or next day sick appointments, even when in pain. Dr. Gujrathi is only in the office twice per week, so that makes scheduling a nightmare. When I asked for a sooner appointment, I was transferred into the voicemail of "Northa" who is the only one who can authorize a sooner appointment for this Doctor. She never called to say that Dr. G was not in the office until 3 days later, and offer another plan. This office does not allow you to see another provider in a pinch, and when I inquired about the difficulty, I was hung up on. WORST PATIENT SCHEDULING!!! Do not come to this office unless you want to be treated like a policy, and not a patient. read more

Awful experience with the front desk trying to get my sons ear drops refilled as they ran out and the previous doctor he saw there left the practice. Front desk staff rude and unhelpful told to fax over the request from the pharmacy and they may or may not refill it, told that I couldn't talk to anyone about getting it refilled. Called back next day after they hadn't refilled it and they said he needed to be seen and could not be refilled until he was seen by another doctor and that their appointments were several weeks out. So why wasn't I just told this when I called yesterday, and then I would have taken him to his pcp or urgent care. So completely unhelpful and not caring, I told them my son has piss coming out his ear and I need to know if the prescription could be refilled and no assistance at all. read more

Long review - will need to update as I get a second opinion. For reference, I am 27 years old with no previous history of ear or sinus issues. I would give 0 stars if possible. I was referred by my PCP for ear problems that have risen over the last few months. I let the doctor know that about a year prior, my PCP wanted me to see an ENT to possibly have my tonsils removed for strep that I seemed to be getting frequently as an adult. I was busy and never made the time until now, when my ears are in pain. I saw PA Russell Poland and had a bad feeling from the start. I let him know that I was referred previously to get my tonsils removed, to which he responded "you mean to CHECK if you needed that because you don't actually know that's what you needed." I was a little thrown off and responded with "yes I suppose to check as I had 3 rounds of strep within 4 months." I let him know I was unsure if that was related, to which he said no it wasn't. He mentioned allergy testing, but made the comment of "it's something you actually have to take seriously and get done if you really want answers," as if he didn't think I was taking my own health seriously. I had been having pressure in both of my ears, he checked both, cleaned out the right ear and said to use the drops my PCP prescribed, but the left was good to go. So I did. I questioned my left ear and he said it was fine and to only treat the right. I continued with a CAT Scan of my sinuses that was suggested by Russell, to which nothing was found. I made a second appointment within 6 days because I felt the drops were not going in and working, so I paid another $50 for a 3 minute session in which he said I was fine and showed off my prescription box to staff to take copies of as it was the first time they saw individualized drops. You normally would trust medical advice, right? I felt there was a deeper underlying issue. Fast forward about roughly 1 month, I flew out to visit family. 5 days into my trip, my left ear started with a fluttering sensation. Within hours, my right ear was leaking fluids and aching. My PCP was extremely concerned why this came back, and re-prescribed drops for relief until I came back. I do not currently have insurance anymore and cannot get back to the ENT. As of this moment, I discontinued the drops as my ears became extremely itchy, achy, and even more fluids draining out of the ears. The only relief has come from a warm heating pad. Now, I have a feeling of fullness in the ear, as well as BLOOD leaking out. I had a HORRIBLE feeling from my first appointment, I felt as though my problems were not taken seriously or that this "PA" "thought" I was not taking my OWN health seriously. I have paid $271 out of pocket through this company for the visits and CAT scans, and because this was not taken seriously, even more money will be put out to correct their negligence. I will update as I have additional medical opinions as soon as I can afford, but I highly suggest going out of the way for any other ENT company outside of AOC, and plead to your doctor for a new referral. I am extremely disappointed, in excruciating pain, and wondering why they do not take their patients seriously. read more

Her assistant Jen needs to work on her customer service and empathy with patients. It is too bad that patients have to deal with her. My daughter received tubes in her ears over 3 years ago now and the day of surgery we were told the total owed was a little over $1500 and we paid it all that day. Now 3 years later my daughter has gotten some erasers stuck in her ear and could affect her hearing and I'm being told they will not see my daughter till we pay another $400 that they are saying is owed to the doctor now from 3 years ago. Just incredible they are that they would deny a child services for something we have already paid for!! I would not recommend them to anyone! Horrible customer service! After being referred to them for several reasons, I called to make an appointment. I was on hold 23 minutes before I elected to use "call-back" option (once selected they call you back when your spot in the que comes up). 4 hours later still no call. So I called them back and was on hold another 15 minutes before someone answered. I made the appointment but was thoroughly discouraged with the whole appointment making process. After I hung up I was so frustrated with this type of customer service- I mean if this is how they operate a simple phone system, and can't follow instructions to call someone back, how will the rest of the place operate?! I looked for another ENT closer and that could get me in sooner then the month and a half later they offered. I found one but, now I needed to cancel my appointment. Again on hold over 10 minutes and was getting angry, I looked for an alternative to the phone system, but their website has no email (I mean all I had to do was cancel my appointment). Finally when someone answered, it seemed like I was bothering her. Additionally, they never even asked if I'd like to reschedule or for a reason for me canceling. I think the doctor is ok. He bothers me a bit in he is very wishy washy. He keeps using terms like well I am not a fortune teller. Or it is your choice. I come to a doctor to get some advise. I want their expert input then I will decide. He just acts like he doesn't care. I get the feeling that 2 minutes into your apt he mentally has moved on to the next one. My wife even said she was confused why it felt like we were getting no direction or advise from him. The support staff of indifferent at best. Some of them look at you like how dare you bother me. The last 3 apt I have waited at least a hour. Today the wait was a 1.75 hours. I get it but an apology or even a little update would be nice. They are surgeons. Clearly they are not leaving enough time for the doctor to get from the hospital to the office. Or they don't leave enough spots open. Either way you are going to wait a looooong time. A simple apology or even ACKNOWLEDGING you are there would help. I was in tears by the time the doctor came in. I had waited almost 2 hours in a waiting room with 3 nasty little animals (kids). The mom was in the phone talking about her uncle that was arrested for beating up a family member. The kids were left to behave like Lord of the Flies. When I finally was able to get a desk person to talk to me all they said is I should reschedule. Great so I can come back again and wait another 2 hours? The cherry on top is God forbid your are 30 seconds late you are going to hear about it believe me. So go to them. They are ok. But indifferent and uncaring would be a fair assessment of their bedside manner. read more

To Whom it May Concern at Arizona Otolaryngology Consultants, I wanted to let you know how frustrating and disappointing it is as a customer and a mother to be billed for services over one year and three months after the date of service. My daughter received services from AOC in January of 2017 and we didn't get the bill from that service until April of 2018. You should be aware that letting that much time pass made it very difficult for my family. Since the year of 2017 had been closed out and our deductible had been met in January with this surgery we were under the impression that our account was a zero balance. To wait over a year to bill patients is irresponsible and disrespectful to families that are trying to keep up with their finances. We have three children with a chronic lung disease and have dealt with dozens of pharmacies, medical offices, and hospitals at this point. None of them has ever taken over a year to send us a bill for services. This action speaks volumes about the inefficiency and lack of order in your billing offices for it to take an audit for customers to receive bills. I am extremely disappointed. After giving me a hearing test in 2010, an audiologist at another firm told me I need hearing aids. I bought one, but noticed no difference in my hearing. He assured me that without it, my hearing would get worse faster. Two years later he tried to sell me new, improved aids for both ears. I decided to get a second opinion (actual three more opinions). All three said I was not yet ready for a hearing aid. I just had my hearing retested by audiologist Andrea Kristalovich at AOC Physicians. She said I was still not yet ready for a hearing aid. When I told her that the previous audiologist had me wearing one for two years, 7 years ago, she expressed surprise. Take home message: if possible, get tested by an audiologist that does not sell hearing aids. If you can't, at least get a second (or third) opinion. read more

Love Dr Simms and he is the only reason we continue to go to this practice. The staff at the front desk at the Greenway Blvd location are horrible, rude and condescending. They will tell you that the doctors time is more important than the patient because he is a surgeon and it's ok if he is running late. They will accuse patients of always running late. However, when you ask for proof of when you were late, they don't actually keep those records and just have amazing memories. Bottom line, Dr Simms is an amazing ENT, but you have to be willing to suffer through horrible customer service from the front office. Apparently, they don't realize that patients are customers and without us Dr Simms would have no practice. Personally, I would clean house of the front office and hire people who care about their patients. read more
