The Doctor is very patient and helpful. Wonderful clinic! The staff was helpful and nice too. My personal fav is shifa!

This place is the most disorganized unaware place I have ever tried to give my business to. First, they did not know how to look up my insurance and said I had to pay for the service covered by my plan. Then, once they figured that out they told me I need a referral from my PCM for an eye exam which is not a thing. They are absolutely clueless here. 100% would not recommend!! read more

They do not care if you are in an emergency (painful) situation). I have been to Metro Eyes twice in the past 3 months. My first appointment was to get an eye check up and order glasses. The second was to check the pressure in my eyes. The Doctor at this Metro Eyes is very nice and educated. HOWEVER ---- I just called this morning, January 25, 2025, at 9 am. I woke up with some type of infection on my eyelid, most likely a stye. I called to make an urgent appointment. I was told by the front desk attendant that I would have to wait 24 hours to come in so my insurance could be cleared. I stated that I'm in pain and that I was confused because my last appointment was less than two weeks ago (where my insurance was accepted). He then told me that I could come in today, pay $200, then later, after my insurance cleared, I would be reimbursed. Metro Eyes of Vienna has lost me as a patient. read more

It takes 1 MONTH to get your EYE GLASSES ready - and no follow up, you have to keep calling them to check the status. We finally cancelled our order - I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more

The staff at metro eyes are so friendly and accommodating! I ran out of contacts and did not have enough until my exam date, so they gave me plenty of trial contacts to hold me over. They also gave me a rebate coupon to use for my contact lens purchase and it was very affordable! I could not be more pleased. Highly recommend! I will continue to have my contact lens fittings and purchases at Metro Eyes. read more

Post Script Even after the long wait, the prescription was wrong. The doctor told us it was a minor adjustment, but the prescription was a whole number (diopter?) greater than the one I had before. We had to go back to the original prescription and then go to another eye doctor later. An enormous waste of time and money and a potential source of eye problems. Avoid this place. read more

I am new to Metro Eyes and felt so welcomed. The front office staff was so friendly & helpful. And the doctor saw me quickly and listened to my needs which I truly appreciated. I am a new contact wearer and the doctor was so patient with me and made sure I found the right prescription that worked for me. I look forward to a long relationship with this office! read more

I am so grateful I found Metro Eyes during a recent acute eye emergency! This was the most exemplary quality of care I have ever received from a physician in my life. Dr. Barnett is not only incredibly smart and skilled at her work, but also just an amazingly kind, empathetic person. She and her staff went above and beyond to take care of and check in on me even off hours during a very scary condition that could have had permanent repercussions for my sight without the dedicated and thorough treatment she provided me. I cannot thank or recommend her enough!!! read more

I came here today as a new patient since my normal optometrist was booked solid for 2 weeks. I had always walked by here on my way to SweetLeaf and thought it looked good, but never dropped in. Well.... I broke my glasses and ran out of contacts, so it was time to do pay a visit. The friendly staff fit me in on short notice (an hour's notice, actually...) and treated me like an honored guest when I arrived. The shop is small, but modern. They have a moderate selection of glasses with many desirable designers (Bulgari, Giorgio Armani, Carrera, etc.), but I cannot comment on pricing as I'm not too familiar with what's reasonable. The optometrist on duty was friendly, personable, PATIENT, and actually listened to my concerns about my vision. Based on my comments, he was able to show me how my old prescription was negatively affecting my eyes and how these new lenses would make me feel much better. Ladies and gents, I've been to 3 different optometrists in three towns in the last 5 years- he was the FIRST to take all of my comments into consideration before making a recommendation. He was also the first to make me feel like I wasn't being hustled in the end. I paid $174 for a contact lens exam (I don't have insurance), which I feel is a bit pricey considering others have $89 specials going on. HOWEVER- I would gladly pay this time and time again for the comfort I walked out of there with. If you're in the area... hell, I live in Ellicott City now... and you need an optometrist: Please come give them a try! read more

Just replaced my glasses and went to ME on my wife's suggestion. They are 2 for 2! We both had a great experience with Michael and Musa(I think) who delivered great care and service. My new glasses are a natural fit and the prescription is perfect. My last experience with a DIFFERENT eye glass retailer just down the street resulted in several re-visits and adjustments with no real good results. So visit Metro Eyes when you are ready to 'look good' in more ways than one. read more

I went to this place for an eye exam since they accept Medicaid. The place was very clean. Overall, the staff was very friendly. The service was good, nothing exceptional, but the doctor talked me through the whole process (eye exam). I loved her. However, their communications is all over the place. I did my research prior to my appointment, so I knew exactly what I was looking for in my lenses. They do not necessarily talk you through your options. They just told me they would "order my lenses," without telling me what the heck was being put in my frames; I had to tell them what I wanted. When I initially called to get an appointment, they "put me on a brief hold," and never came back. I had to call back after waiting on the line for ~15 minutes. The same thing happened when I called to ask about my lenses: they had told me they would call me to inform me that my lenses came; they never did. I called them myself, after two weeks. They do not have an email system either which is unfortunate. read more

This place does not respect your time. An appointment at 3:00 means 5:00- at the earliest. The men in the front try to distract you by explaining the exact same information they told you at least twice. They say an half an hour, so you leave to kill time, then they give you a guilt trip about them waiting around. Dealt with them on three occasions and it is the same each time. I wish I went to anther place. read more

Can't express my dismay of any negative reviewer. I have no affiliation with them besides finding them via Google Maps. Here is my story and I am super pleased that they will have a client for life. The doctor (Opthamologist) was incredible. I had medical eye and regular prescription exam in same sitting. Doctor was extremely detail oriented and patient. She even went so far as helping with all the Insurance checking prior. No worries during visit that I would be over charged or that she wasn't super great at her job. I received a real quality review and it indicated items that only my own personal doctor would know...as I learned eye contain pigments that denote certain heath issues, etc. this place is great...I would recommend them in a heartbeat. And did to my neighbors and wife. Super pleased and you will not be disappointed. read more

Be very, very careful going here; the doctor was great but the people (specifically a woman named Mossa) running the front desk are super shady, incompetent, and unethical. Tl;Dr: They are trying to claim that we received a contact lens fitting exam 3 months after the appointment bc the dr gave my husband a sample pair of free contact lens. Mossa, one of their opticians, is also rude and unprofessional. Back story: in Feb, my husband and I went in for normal eye exams. Since my husband also wears contacts, they asked my husband if he wanted a contact lens fitting. The front desk wasn't real clear on our insurance and it sounded like there were additional charges for the fitting that weren't covered without additional copays, so we declined. The doctor was cool: easy to talk to, knowledgable, and professional. No complaints with him, and we would have definitely gone back if not for what we're dealing with now. On our way out, the doctor offered my husband a pair of sample contact lens, which he told us was free. We left with our eye glasses prescriptions and that was that. Or so we thought. Today, three months after our visit, we got a call from Mossa. She said the doctor had given my husband a contact lens fitting and that we would have to purchase contact lens from them or they would charge us $130. Say what?! Even though we explained numerous times to her that we did not receive a contact lens fitting and the doctor was very clear that we would have to come back for that, she insisted that just by giving my husband a pair of sample contacts, that constituted a fitting and that now we had to purchase contact lens from them so we wouldn't be charged. (Uh, no, that's shady and weird.) She continuously cut me off mid-sentence, insisting that she was right, refused to let me speak with the doctor or an office manager, and because I wasn't agreeing with her and was disputing the charges, said she didn't want to talk about it anymore and hung up on me. So, be warned. The doctor is cool, but it's not worth dealing with the front desk. read more

I had a pleasant and personal experience with the front office staff and especially with Dr Braely when I went for my eye exams. She took time to ask questions not because of the text book procedure, but to assess my situation correctly. Spent ample time on me and gave the correct prescription and advice. By the way, their fee is very reasonable. I had a good experience overall. I recommend Metro Eyes strongly. read more

This place has extremely poor service. A family member bought a pair of glasses and within less than 1 year of ownership, they broke! The absolutely rude staff (Matt and Donna) did not even seek to remedy the situation with a replacement frame or no cost replacement. When I met with them Donna indicated she was the "head of everything" which I did not buy into and seemed quite childish on their part given that they are in the service business and are failing their customer. I was forced to buy everything brand new and ended up paying out of pocket for a new set of frames. This was their pathetic excuse for customer service, to pinch pennies. Avoid this business at all costs if you value good customer service, all my family members will no longer give our business to them. We will go to myeyedr where service is prioritized. Terrible business with subpar staff... avoid if you can. read more

Dr. Morshedi saw me at MyEyeDr. He gave me a card for his outside practice (Metro Eyes) during the appointment, which I thought was quite shady. He kept checking Facebook throughout the appointment and coughing into his bare hands. I ended up with the wrong prescription for both my contacts and my glasses, so I had to come back and see another doctor. Overall I thought he was extremely unprofessional, and I would never see him again. read more

BEWARE. I called to make an appointment for our 6 year son with an ophthalmologist - an actual M.D. rather than an optometrist. I explained to Diana what I was looking for and that I did not want to see an optometrist (with less training) because of certain eye concerns. She said she understood and suggested one of their "doctors." I scheduled an appointment and then looked up the provider to see her credentials. She was actually an O.D. (optometrist) and not the ophthalmologist as Diana had stated. When I called back - she evasively told me Dr. Barnett took care of their optometry AND ophthalmology patients. I said that it appears Barnett is an O.D. which is an optometrist which is someone who has not been to actual medical school. She told me she was aware of that, but that this person saw both types of patients and then admitted she was not an ophthalmologist. It was blatant dishonesty from the scheduler. Completely deceptive until I pressed her to explain her statements. There is no way I could trust a practice that acts this way from the first call. I have family in this profession and I am not disrespecting optometrists in any fashion because they have an important role in eye care. Just please don't try to deceive customers because not all patients are ignorant to the medical designations in this field. read more

I have only praises for Dr. Morshedi and Mossa. From the time I stepped inside until the time I left, I had a very pleasant experience. Dr. Morshedi is very progressive and covers all bases. Mossa is outstanding and helpful with the entire process of getting my contact lenses and eyeglasses. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a good eye doctor in the area. read more

In July 2019, we visited Metro Eyes, located at 260 Maple Ave E, Vienna, VA. Initially, they said they are in network with Eye Med and that we are eligible for a pair of eye glasses with a frame under $140, but at the completion of our order, an associate of Metro Eyes said that he just found out our plan does not cover this benefit and we have to pay ourselves, however, he will give us a discount. He gave us a receipt to file a claim for a reimbursement. Metro Eye charged us $460. When we submitted our claims, Eye Med associate told us that Metro Eyes had claimed for the services rendered to us on 7/6, and they paid $500+ to Metro Eyes. In fact, Metro Eyes charged us twice for one service. This is not a fair business practice. We are writing this review for the awareness of the people in the area. read more

I made appointments for my wife and for myself for eye exams with the doctor I had seen there previously. When we showed up, we got a blank stare from the receptionist and were told the doctor wasn't in. When we asked why, we wrer told the doctor we were supposed to see quit so they purged the database and "it must have erased his appointments". A responsible establishment would have notified us of the cancellation. read more

Metro Eyes has a great selection of glasses, more so then others in the area. The staff is friendly, helpful, professional...all in all terrific. Choosing glasses can be challenging, especially if you go alone, but if you like they will give you great input. I was a bit high maintenance, but they were extremely patient with me which I really appreciated. read more

I would give more stars if it wasn't for the front desk/ sales person. First off, the optometrist I met with was very professional and took his time answering all of my questions. He also made sure that I was comfortable with my new glasses and prescription when I went to pick them up. I am not sure if he is an independent doctor as it is with some places. Now the downside: the front desk girl who took my appointment and verified my insurance was incompetent and unethical. She asked me for my full Social Security number when she only needed the last four digits; at first she told me that she could not verify my insurance but her colleague was able to do that a week prior to my appointment. When I was done with my exam and ready to purchase my frames and special lenses, she immediately itemized the most expensive option for the special lenses without explaining to me the benefits and that I had other lower-cost options (there were three levels of the special lenses). I was already aware of my options based on my research but this unethical sales associate readily assumed that I did not know any better. She also immediately itemized scratch resistant coating for my glasses which I really did not need because the special lenses already come with their own coating. It was so off putting that someone would want to charge you for the most expensive products and add ons without explaining any benefits whatsoever as though you were an ignorant customer with a fat wallet. You literally had to tell this particular sales associate to slow down and not be so determined about nickel and diming you. So basically the optometrist I had was wonderful but the sales girl/ insurance verifier/ front office clerk was incompetent with product knowledge and literally thirsty for your wallet. You can't go ripping people off like that and blindly itemizing their order thinking they don't know any better or would ask questions. I would never go back to this business or recommend anyone to make a visit. While the optometrist was good, there are way too many other optometry businesses out there to not go through the trouble with this place and its shady front desk. You have better options elsewhere and do not need to unnecessarily go through what I went through and have to worry about someone trying to rip you off to the last pennies. One of the worst sales people ever works here and it's this front desk girl. read more

I used to go to this place in last 5 years. The team is changed and a new set of people are there. The new owners don't have the same customer care that this place used to have. My glasses were not ready when I got there and they made my 2nd eye appointment with a different optometrist without telling me in advance, so when i got there i could not see my optometrist. This is a complete chaos. They did not give me the right glasses or prescription. So I had to return the 3rd time and still did not get the best prescription that I should have gotten. so, I was so fed up, I just decided to go elsewhere. read more
