We didn't even get a chance to eat. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we felt intensely stared at and uncomfortable. At one point, it even seemed like employees were calling others from the back to look at us. The atmosphere became so unwelcoming that we decided to leave before ordering anything. This happened during what was supposed to be a joyful holiday outing for our family, and it was deeply upsetting. We never expected to feel this way at a well-known establishment. Thankfully, we went to IHOP down the street afterward, where we were treated with kindness and respect. I want to be careful not to assume anyone's intentions, but as a visibly Muslim family, the experience left us feeling singled out and unwelcome. What should have been a normal dining experience instead felt hostile and hurtful. No one should be treated differently because of their religion, appearance, culture, or beliefs. In 2026, there is still so much work to do when it comes to respect, inclusion, and basic human decency. I am speaking up not just for myself, but for anyone who has ever felt targeted, uncomfortable, or silenced because of who they are. Religious discrimination and Islamophobia should never be normalized or ignored. Businesses that serve the public have a responsibility to ensure all customers are treated with dignity and respect. Came here with my family. Hostess was warm and welcoming. Waitress was also very nice, attentive and helpful with accommodations. Family ordered breakfast, while I ordered bacon burger. Really good diner. They're not open late, only until 8pm but we went for brunch around noon on Sunday. It was slightly busy so we waited about 20 minutes. The hostess was not friendly at all and borderline rude when I asked for a menu to take a look. Our waitress though was very friendly and accommodating. We sat at a booth by the door and were able to watch the food being cooked with their open kitchen concept. I always enjoy that. I had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with a side Caesar salad and my husband had a breakfast bowl. Both really solid choices. The prices were fair and the place was really clean. Let me first start by noting that I was perfectly pleased with my waitress and others as they were genuinely friendly and reasonably attentive. Now for the unimpressive: This place is not a diner, family restaurant ...maybe but even that could be misleading. It certainly has its niche but I'd be hard pressed to give a properly descriptive name. They had feta but no spinach so I'll have to give up on my go to florentine omelette. I spent time seriously considering my options for my next best breakfast choice. I ended up ordering a breakfast bowl; scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado, roasted grape tomato's over hash browns supposedly "drizzled" with hollandaise sauce. I actually got a lukewarm mess of a dish absolutely swimming in sauce, with a full strip or two of bacon not chopped for a fork dish, non roasted cold half sliced cherry tomatoes. It was edible but not enjoyable. I also ordered side of biscuits and gravy, which was room temp to cold. This was too much for me to muscle through but my server was genuinely apologetic and offered to replace rather than just reheat. Warm to hot was much better but still maybe average to good at best. While I personally have no reason to ever return here, there are still several other choices on their breakfast and lunch menus that could be reasonably good. read more

Thank you Jackie and Robert! Great service with great attitudes are rare these days, but my experience with Jackie and Robert made me a believer again. My first experience at Metro Diner was on a day where I wasn't in the best of moods, but soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted with the biggest smiles and happiest expressions that I felt welcome from minute one. Once checking in we were seated within 30 seconds. And though Jackie was our designated waitress, Robert was tag-teaming with her to enhance the experience with great recommendations and a lot of humor to brighten my melancholy mood. As indecisive as I can be, I was pleased with the croissant French Toast recommended by Robert (though I came in for pancakes :) ). Jackie was great with sharing her must haves from the menu. Before our departure, we were adamant to let both know how much we appreciated their service and that our experience was exceptional simply because of them. This place is definitely growing on me. We stopped in today after some shopping next door. We were looking forward to an early dinner and no dishes or clean up at home! Seating and service was very quick. As far as vibe goes, Metro always has a nice, cozy atmosphere even when it gets full. Parking was plentiful in the lot outside. After a quick look at the menu, I went with the Greek salad with grilled chicken. My kids got the fish and chips, the burger plate, and chicken noodle soup. The food was served in no time. Great job by the kitchen staff with getting our food right out. Our waitress also did a great job. She checked on us a few times, offered us drink refills without us asking and gleefully helped with any request we had. In fact the entire staff was very friendly and professional. Stopped by Metro Diner after church on a Sunday. It was almost noon and the place was bustling with business. All staff appeared to be present and attentive. I was with a party of 4 and we were told it would be a 15 min wait. We ended up being seated after 5 mins of waiting. The server was kind, mentioned the items of the day and gave us adequate time to order. I went with the croissant french toast , scrambled eggs with american cheese and turkey sausage links. The food came out hot and looked presentable. The croissant french toast sounds better than it tastes. It wasn't horrible I just think I was expecting a different flavor profile. I feel I've had better breakfast food before but it was good for what it was worth. The place was clean, I can't remember if they had music on and the seating was spacious enough for the layout of the restaurant. Parking is adequate. read more

The food here doesn't taste as good as the one in Bensalem. I ordered a salad and a breakfast meal and both were not as great in quality and the amount they gave you.. I don't like this location at all because of that. The omelette tasted kind of spoiled with the rotten onions, and that was a great disappointment and I was really grossed out.. the Romaine lettuce on my salad did not taste fresh at all. We've loved MD since it opened in our area. The Shrimp and Grits was amazing. It's been a few months and I was jonesing for my favorite and my nearly always order . It was so disappointing when, instead of a plate with two squares of baked grits floating in a pond of yummy, a bowl of, well, slop was set down in front of me. No longer can the diner choose to enjoy the varying flavors and textures. It looks like a mess and after the third bite, it just doesn't taste good. My kind and diligent server said MD made this change a few months ago. Very sad. read more

This is my first trip to this location and it didn't disappoint. Our server Ditania was fantastic. She had a lot of tables seated at once and other waitresses and the hostess jumped in and helped with getting drinks and table muffins. The muffins come with a maple butter but I asked for as strawberry butter because it's seriously the most delicious things Metro has to offer! Must try! The place was pretty busy. We had waited about 20 min for our table but our food came out quickly once we ordered. I love that the waitresses used a tablet to place the order table side. It reduces errors and sends the order through lightening fast! I opted to trying the chicken salad melt special. Honestly the board specials were hard to read from our seats but I walked over to check them out and immediately knew What I wanted. I was going to change to a more hearty breast but the white toasted was perfect! The chicken salad had grapes, celery and the perfect amount of mayo! It was a huge portion and fairly priced at only $9.99. My date went for the fried chicken. He switched up the sides and he too loved his meal. There was no room for dessert but there will be many future visits and I look forward to trying more! read more

I want to start this review by saying that I got a *weird* meal for a diner. This place is clean and definitely tries hard to offer good customer service. Our server was friendly, funny and attentive. The interior of Metro Diner is also well done. The kitchen is open and the restaurant has ample seating that is well spaced. DOn't be fooled by the exterior (strip mall). This is definitely one of the nicer diners in the area. The food, however was nothing special. I got Avocado Toast with Egg Whites with a side of broccoli and my friend got a salad with fried chicken tenders on it. Neither were amazing but both definitely were done well. However, I did like that I was able to get something healthy at a reasonable price on their menu. They had many Unhealthy options that looked delicious. One of the things that I do like about Metro is that they do not have a massive menu like most diners do. They had a board of rotating specials that seem to change daily and their menu was large but not crazy. We stopped in for a quick lunch and this is definitely the way to do it. If you are in the area and in need of a quick bite, definitely give this place a try. I'm only giving it 4 starts because the food was not top notch. read more
