One vet in San Diego suggested he be put down! I was horrified and feeling desperate. I was referred to Vet Playas through a friend of a friend which ended up saving my dog's life. It's been almost 10 months since his surgery at Vet Playas and he is still doing fabulous and pooping like a champ! I am so grateful to Dr. Juan and the entire staff. The surgery was a complete success and it cost a fraction of what they charge for this surgery in the states! The entire staff was so professional and caring and they spoke English as well as Spanish. I also learned that a perineal hernia is more common in dogs that are not neutered and are older in age - yet another reason to spay and neuter! (I had adopted my dog when he was a senior and thought it would be okay not to neuter at the time.) I wholeheartedly recommend Vet Playas for their veterinary expertise and their kindness. Also, Dr. Juan was able to examine my dog who would totally try and bite me when I tried to do the same! They truly are dog whisperers!

My daughter sent messages daily to ask about the "babies". I felt she was too much, but she was always answered promptly and sent short videos of them enjoying their stay. One of the dogs developed an ear infection (common for her) while there. I was sent text messages with pictures immediately and Stitxh even cleaned her ears which gave her some relief. Stitch knows his business very well and treated my dogs spectacularly. I had no worries or concerns. Well, maybe a little to get my dog to the vet but she just had dirty ears from the constant hair growth in there. I would highly recommend using this service if you want the best care for your fur babies and want them in capable hands. Was impressed with all the knowledge!

On his first visit, the groomers left shampoo in his eye, which resulted in an eye infection that required veterinary treatment. On his second visit, the groomers left him with a dime sized cut on his leg. He had an appointment and I was told to pick him up at 5:30 pm. However, I waited an hour because he was not ready. I also asked for his hair to be cut half an inch and the groomers shaved approximately three inches of his hair. Overall, very unprofessional. Definitely not returning. I encourage other pet owners to stay away from this establishment.

Last week, my bully had an ACL tear, and surgery was the only option to avoid long-term limitations and medication. Even though I live in the Bay Area, I don't mind traveling for non-urgent surgeries because I trust Dr. Hector completely. My dog always heals quickly and well under his care. Dr. Hector provides all necessary medications and is always reachable with the most helpful information. The doctor provides taxi/pick up drop off from and to San Diego. No Aprecio cómo el Dr. Héctor siempre ha sido increíblemente con mis perro(s). La semana pasada, mi bulldog francés sufrió un desgarro del ligamento en su patita derecha y la cirugía era la única opción para evitar limitaciones y medicamentos a largo plazo.
