Ordered Memo's through Uber eats. After waiting an hour and a half, they cancelled the order. Their reason was because they have their own driver and no longer work with Uber. This is my go to restaurant in the area. I haven't had a bad meal yet. The food is freshly prepared. Try the chicken and rice soup. The owner makes it fresh. If I had only ever lived in this area I would probably think this is decent BBQ, but it isn't all that great. I've had the opportunity to dabble in some southern BBQ and this needs some work. Food was a bit dry and was lacking that flavor that I love so much. All in all for the area I think it's worth it if your in the mood for bbq. The decor was horrible even by Washington standards! My wife got the ribs which were dry and had no BBQ sauce on it. I got the memo's burger and I asked for it medium well, it came out mostly charcoal. I told the waitress I did not feel that I should pay for it because I could not eat it and I could not eat another burger because it totally ruined my appetite. I kindly asked if they could remove the burger from my bill and was told no. The cook came out and told me he makes many burgers a day and has not had a complaint therefore he will not remove the burger from my bill. I'm 29 years old and have eaten many burgers in my lifetime this was by far the worst one ever. I left this place totally unsatisfied and felling riped off. read more

Let's start with very clean. Bathroom is as well. Portions are huge for the money. Small place but very nice. You would not realize it by passing. Been there three times and good each time. Now, let me get the bad out of the way. I HATE THE BAKED BEANS! Seriously, that needs to be fixed because they taste like water, beef, and bean, which does not a baked bean make. I have faith you can fix this, because it was the only bland menu item. Secondly, the staff is very friendly, but should not be talking about how much money they made last week, and tonight. And as soon as a table left one girl said to her coworker "Ha, now I've made more tips than you for today and I've only had one table!" Which I didn't really care to be informed of. Then as we left (leaving the receipt signed and tipped out) the girl who was NOT our server took our check after we stood up and said "dang I'm not beating you anymore 5 dollars is unfair." Again, not cool, good thing we actually tipped well and didn't stiff them... Onwards to the food, we had chips and guacamole, and it was amazing. The chips were made from fresh tortillas and the guacamole was fresh as well. The chips needed degreasing but hey they're deep fried for a reason. As a main corse we had the half chicken-4 spare ribs combo with fries and baked beans. Split two ways, this was a monstrous proportion, I recommend splitting it as we did. The fries were totally great, nice seasoning, semi thick cut, and perfectly cooked. My portion of chicken had been clearly smoked, the coloring was present as well was the taste. The seasoning was even on the whole half chicken and was cooked well. I know this is barbecue blasphemous but I loathe ribs. My husband tore them up, he gave me a piece which I didn't spit out so I guess that's good coming from a rib hater. My rib muncher husband said they were smoked too and tasted even better with barbecue sauce. Oh Lord, the barbecue sauce... it was in a word, SUPERB! I requested they sell me some. And let me tell you I've never had such a good blending of Spanish and Barbecue, it's like an adobo-chipotle-carolina-sweet-heat-mouthgasm. Put the stuff on everything, it's so delicious it could be a distant relative of siracha . On a side note, yellow plantains are basically milder bananas. Green plantains are what is traditionally used, as they are more starchy and not so sweet. It's noted on the menu that they ARE yellow, so they won't taste like the traditional double fried green plantains. That may be why it's noted that they could be bananas. read more

We stopped coming here a couple of months ago because the quality went downhill. I agree with the reviewers who said the baked beans were not good (on our first visit, they were great) and the chicken was dry and tasteless. The last time I was there, I had the grilled shrimp salad and although the shrimp was fine, the salad was just OK with much too many canned black olives in it. This place was recommended by a co-worker, so I gave it a shot. Glad I did! I ordered the Cuban panini, which was unbelievable. Pulled pork, ham, Swiss and pickles with a little mustard; yum! The french fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I also tried the fried plantains (-1 star because I think they were actually bananas) which were also quite good. First time -- and it was so good! I've read reviews from other sites and decided to check it out today. We had a grilled burger -- fresh, hot, cooked just the way we wanted it. It came with fries which were delicious. We also had the taco salad with chicken -- WOW. The chicken was a grilled breast -- not the shredded kind. It had a really tasty seasoning. It came in a Burrito side shell/bowl with lots of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, guacamole and sour cream. YUM!! We'll be back -- for the ribs and chicken! read more

Went here for the first time and got the half chicken/2 ribs with sides of rice and beans $9.95. Chicken was tender and juicy, ribs were quite good, and the two sides were very good as well. This is my go-to spot every time I head back from a day of hiking at Mt. Tammany. I wouldn't say it's the best BBQ I've ever had, but for the price, it cannot be beat! Each time I've gone, I get an order of fresh chips and guac and a full rack of ribs with a side of baked beans and French fries. Most times that I've gone, the ribs were tender and fell off the bone, making it easy to dip into the house made sauces. My daughter arranged menu items ahead of time and they were very flexible with dietary requests.
