A big carafe, no ice watering it down, served with glasses full of fruit. The problem is the service. They had two servers and one bus person, and it showed. Everyone seemed to be scrambling, and it was hard to get a moment of attention to ask for anything or even be heard. Our food came out in pieces -- three items, then a long delay, then another. The last dish, calamari, never came. When I tried to tell the waiter we didn't want it anymore if it was forgotten, he didn't listen and insisted on bringing it anyway. We ended up waiting even longer, which just made the experience more frustrating. To top it off, they're now adding an operating/service fee (around 3-4%), which wasn't clearly communicated and just showed up on the bill. It's disappointing because the food is still very good, but the service issues -- and now the added fees -- are taking away from the experience. After this visit, we'll think twice before coming back.

Memo's place is actually pretty good. I encourage you to give it a try and make your own opinion but be open minded. Everything is made fresh in house and you will find very little that is food service prepped. Like their menu hints at their specialty is geared more towards barbeque but they have other items to cater to a larger audience. They use a dry seasoned rub on their ribs which is why there is no sauce on them when they are served so make sure you ask for barbeque sauce. The chicken was juicy and tasty. Their baked beans are not like the canned stuff some may expect and are again made in house using their house barbeque sauce. (which to be fair is a little bit on the looser side) I have also had their chicken and rice soup and their pulled pork barbeque both of which were good as well. The staff was friendly and the turnaround time from the kitchen was very fast. The one think I recommend to readers is if you do carry out make sure you ask for barbeque sauce otherwise they wont include it in your order (my experience at least). It's definitely a welcoming change for a town that has historically has had mostly Italian or Chinese food places and I hope they do stick around for a while. Absolutely disgusting. $80.00 for $25 worth of inedible food. The chicken tastes like it was boiled in plain water then charred to resemble a brick in texture. Too dry and hard to even bite most of it. The quesadillas are flat and were practically empty. Would love to be able to post pictures here. The garlic shrimp came in literally an inch of oil..no garlic whatsoever. Disgusting. My cat wouldn't even eat it. I asked for salsa and bbq sauce when I called in my order. Standard condiments for this type food (using term loosely). They brought none at all. When I called, I got an attitude and when they came back, they tried to charge me an extra $6.00 for it! Unbelievable. The products were gross enough, but that is just poor business all around!!! Reminds me of the dried out crap Washington BBQ used to try to sell. Bet it's the same people. The owner is a sexist asshole. Foods ok. Its only special because there is no other places to go for BBq in town. A friend of mine worked for him, and he tried to force her to date his son. When she said no, and that she had a boyfriend, he yelled at her and said "are you too good for my son?" Dudes more resemblant of a pig, than the crap he passes off as pork. Will not buy again. Horrible! The chicken and ribs where dry. The BBQ is good but they service it on the side. The shrimp was gross... Raw. The rice was just crap! All of that was over 50.00. The bacon on the lobster was also stale and fatty. But the worst part was Mom's meal which came with no sides and the waiter never offered her any sides to choose from even if they would be at an additional cost. She struggled to chew the meat. It was tough and fatty. The waiter cleared the plates and Mom told him that the meat was not good. His response was that she should have alerted him earlier and that he would have made it right. He said he would see what he could do compensate for the bad experience. However, nothing was offered or even mentioned after that. We ordered her carrot cake which came with no candle despite the waiter knowing it was her birthday. We were very surprised to have had such a bad experience at the Clinton House because in the past the food has always been good. The restaurant was empty which was also surprising for a Sunday lunch. The bill was over $300 including tip for 4 people. We had only 2 glasses of wine and 2 desserts. Quite expensive for a lousy meal and experience. Do better!
