Been here a few times, nothing out of the ordinary or special. Until the last time we went in.... It wasn't too crowded; we came in before the dinner rush. We placed our order with someone who was running the bar and waiting on tables. They had enough confidence in themselves to memorize our order. Mistake #1 After waiting 45 minutes with no update on our food (wings and a pizza) and seeing a steady stream of other patrons getting served, that were there long after us. I stood up raised my arms (kept quiet) shot the bar a look, like where is my food?? I got a look back like I had just killed someone's dog. Mistake #2 Another 15 minutes go by still no update from anyone.... and like magic our food finally arrived. No explanation, no I'm sorry... Pizza had been under the heat lamp so long that the grease from the pizza was starting to separate and pool up under the pizza, But by god... We got our wings. Reason for the delay??... New kitchen staff??... I know you had to drive to Safeway in Tucson to buy more frozen wings. Why was everyone else getting food but us??? mmmm... ....Was it that you forgot our order? Blamed the kitchen staff and comped our wings to absolve yourself of guilt. I get lied to enough at work, I dont need to pay people to do the same. Mistake #3..... read more

Everything was great but the best part was the festive atmosphere for the holiday season. Especially the giant gingerbread man at the front of the building whoever bought that should get a raise! read more

Came for the spinach dip, which was amazing. Stayed for the service. Which was amazing. Our bartender/ server, Jake was attentive and.. amazing. I'm glad we picked here for our mom/ daughter date night! read more

We stopped in Saturday just after noon, right in the middle of the day....we decided to split a Sausagefest Calzone. It was a brisk morning in the valley so we both had on hoodies and still thought it was a bit chilly in the restaurant. Our server was kind and friendly, chuckled when I confirmed there was no charge for a plate to split. I don't order cazones so I was pleasantly surprised that it comes w a side of sauce! It was cheesy....more so than sausagey.... either way I appreciated it was either more ingredient than bready. This kept us full the entire day... it did it's job. And.... it renewed my interest in a food. I've steered clear of calzones as I thought they were a lot of bread. Thanks Melllow Mushroom for a delicious lunch.....as I've come to expect. I also always enjoy taking in all the fun and colorful art during my visit. read more

Jake and Brandon gave us good service, food was great, they were great with brining food and drinks our.

waited 25 minutes on a non busy Thursday and received no food even though we ordered. Some excuses about wrong portions.

Sophia and Brandon are outstanding on the service and hats off to the crew in the kitchen as the food was amazing! Coming back for sure !!!! read more

The stars are because of Andrew!!! Andrew approached right away and gave a complete run down of the menu, the atmosphere and the business as we chatted. No , I didn't mention yelp! He just vibes really well. Inside...this place is big and they also have a separate room to throw parties that you're able to rent. You're also able to order half and half pizza . Ordered half "shiitake" and half "Merry prankster". See photos of the menu. It was OK pizza but it, could've been hot when received, in which, it wasn't, it was just warm as if it sat for a bit and we also noticed that it looked as if there was a slice missing until we pushed it together. I recommend going here for sure for a date night or family night. Nice atmosphere for both! Taking the pizza to go and warming the pizza in the toaster oven, made it perfect! There's plenty of parking, plenty of room to spread out and friendly staff. Give Andrew a raise because he was boss! I would go again for sure! read more

Super nice, really cool vibes, great music- the staff are great, food is fantastic. We showed up from Tucson for a meeting and only had an hour for lunch. They were busy but made it happen so that our group were able to get some fabulous food!!! read more

They were warm! I ordered for pick-up, showed up a few minutes early. My pizzas were all ready in the warmer. My online receipt gives a ready to to pick-up time. I was on time. By the time I got home the food was room temp. Sad. I loved the thin crust and overall flavors of both our pizzas (Holy shiitake & Great white) but the cooling cheese sucked. Last words...next visit will be dine in. read more

Tried this place with friends after church. The pizza was so good! The pretzel bites were delicious and garlicky. Our server was attentive. Only down side was they forgot about my kids' cheese pizza so we all finished and still were waiting for their pizza. Our server apologized and gave us a small discount but honestly with how long we waited we should have gotten the small cheese pizza free. read more

Mellow mushroom Gluten free and dairy light eater. Came here for a friends anniversary. This place has a great relaxed atmosphere. Although everyone around us was talking I could still hear. We ordered the peach margarita. Beware. It's Smokey and a bit spicy and strong. I loved it. I got the gluten free crust. Most crusts I tend to rate already lower than regular crust. But this one was better than others I have had. I got the merry prankster. It was pretty good. A bit dry. But I enjoyed it. My friend ordered pesto on the side. It needed it. Just a touch. Really added to it. My husband got the mushroom. He loved it. This is a return visit for sure. More flavors to try. And for gf it's a win. And it's hard to win at gluten free. read more

Food was overpriced due to minimal ingredients on a small pizza. We ordered a small (10") pizza. The ingredients were in the center 5-6". So you get a lot of crust with nothing on it. For $18.89 or so it is not worth it! Ambiance was ok. Floors under the booths were filthy. Understaffed for a Friday night. Lots of room but long wait for food. Jake was a good server but had a lot of area to cover. Increase the staff, increase the ingredients, and clean the area after people leave. Best of luck. read more

It took way to long to bring the food. I mean way too long. The food way good though. Ambiance was alright.

Been coming here often, so often that I left my Jacket and the manager put it aside for me in the managers office to pick up. Came by to pick it up today July 31st and decided to have lunch. While ordering our food I hear a women complaining about my order for bruschetta. With added avocado. I've done this many times. VERY LOUDLY I heard her conversation with the cook saying"what does she want avocado toast?" When my husband went to look at who was speaking he notice her with NO GLOVES Touching our FOOD. She cut the bread for the bruschetta bare hands! Wiping her hands on her pants and shirt! When management finally came we found out she was the loud mouth speaking unprofessionally. When we called her out about the whole situation she kicked us out and started calling the cops. CALLING THE COPS ON A SMALL FAMILY. 14 month and and a married couple. We left with empty stomachs but most importantly my CHILD was deprived of food and we had to to go to another establishment. 14 month old and a husband and wife The blond manager needs to be reprimanded. She was working lunch shift and I WOULD NOT suggest eating here. If their own management doesn't wear gloves while touching food. WHAT ELSE COULD BE NOT IN COMPLIANCE. ADD ON: We had already been asked to leave and in the surprise of the treatment she gave us I said "are you being serious?" And she replied " I'm calling the cops" No customer service was given AT ALL. So we grabbed our things and I ask what her name was which she refused to answer. I wanted to report the incident to the correct people and my husband with my daughter in hand reiterated "yeah what is your name?" LOUDLY. Because she literally fleed across the room as if we were using foul language and about atta k her with dirty diapers and baby vomit. WE HAD A BABY!!!!! When my husband was getting up with daughter in hand a Maricopa county sheriff and his strong deputy walked by and he said " there's your officers" And they kept walking! So obviously he wasn't being aggressive inany way So sorry the GM DIANA's ego was hurt and she was threatened by us physically seeing her break food protocol And us speaking out about it. Her reaction was completely out of line. Me, my 14 month old baby girl and my husband Would have possibly gotten food contamination. If I were a gluten intolerant person I would steer clear of this place!!! They obviously have gluten free items on their menu but fail to use proper food handling!! Her cutting bread bare hands with no gloves then wiping her hand on her pants and tshirt is crazy! read more

I spent $28 on this sorry excuse for a pizza--and for what? A sad scattering of salami and the illusion of basil. Basil? Where? It's practically nonexistent! The whole thing is bland, uninspired, and utterly disappointing. Come on, Mellow Mushroom, do better. Because right now, this isn't pizza. It's a $28 lesson in regret. read more

Placed order for carry out on 10/25/25 at 12:15. Was told it would be 25-30 minutes for pick up for 2 pizzas. When I showed up to pick up order at 12:45, no one was to be found for 5-10 minutes at the front door to help me. I was told to wait at the bar and pay. At around 1PM, was told pizza still had 10 minutes. 1:15 rolled around, by which point I had paid. No one came up to me, I had to track someone down to check on my order. at 1:20 (65 minutes after initial order placement, and 35 minutes after I arrived by when the pizza should have been done), was told that the "pizzas are in the oven now and will be done soon". Awful service. I had to get to work and was already late at this time, so I asked for a refund at this point, which also took over 5 minutes to process. Left without any pizza, and wasted 40 minutes waiting at this location. Rude employee interaction as well throughout this entire experience. Have been to this location before, however the customer service is terrible, and has been mediocre most of the visits. This was unacceptable however, and there was no respect for customer's time. Will likely not return anymore despite the normally very good pizza. In addition, the Groupon credit which was used for part of the order still has not been refunded/credited. **updating to 3 stars, manager did reach out and apologized for the experience and offered to make it right. read more

Wings were the only alright part. rolls were cold. service sucked. they don't serve alcohol to people 21+. small bugs flying around that table when the food came out. will not be back read more

Great White pizza is my hands down go to! That should also be accompanied with that Triple Chocolate Chunk Gourmet cookie for sure. And definitely give the Pretzel bites a try; I really want to to try the spicy beer cheese with it one of these times. Make sure to get that pick up order in by 11:30p though- that closing time is for bar hours not the kitchen & you don't want to miss this food! This design of the interior is gorgeous and the atmosphere seems really fun- Mellow Mushroom is pretty much the best pizza we've found in AZ- top notch! read more

I can say food is amazing here, especially the pizza. Ambiance is chill, with an industrial look. I will keep coming back for the pizza.

I'd say for sure above average, good service and reasonable timing for our order. The pesto sauce was great, the quality of the toppings seemed decent and was overall pretty good, I had higher hopes for the mushroom pizza (holy shiitake)though, it wasn't bad but could have been better(some salt would have really brought out the flavors of the mushroom when cooking them ), our other pizza was quite good. read more

Brandon and Sofia are great people. They are so nice and very attentive to us while we were there. You should ask for either one of them.

Love this mellow! Sofia is the jam! She is such a delight and only adds to the vibe. Promote this woman!

The drinks and soup are good! It appears the pizza is much tastier than the salad, based on what I saw my neighbors eating. I didn't enjoy the Greek salad much, as good as it looked in the picture. The chicken was a small portion and not very good, and after the chicken and cheese were gone, I didn't think the salad was worth eating or saving. Normally, I'm a huge salad person. read more
