Walked in at 12:45 with no lunch rush, maybe 3 other groups already seated. Our food took more than 45 minutes to arrive after we ordered (a meatball sub and medium pizza.) Took 15 minutes to take our order. Pizza came out cold and meatball sub was burnt to a crisp. They offered to bring out new bread but the meatballs were half gone before the bread finally came out. 3 stars because it was delicious, just wish my pizza was warm and it wouldn't have taken so long. We really wanted dessert but didn't have time read more

Wings were pretty good. Gluten free pizza was really really bad. Server was super chill.

Rob is the man. Whether we want to eat dinner, grab a light snack or get some drinks Rob knows how to take care of us. He's relaxed, keeps it chill under pressure with how busy it gets and always checks in. Jake is always good too. We haven't been seeing him much but every time we do it goes well. Andrew is a team player. Holds it down. Overall, these servers continue to make this location a pleasant experience, thanks guys. read more

Edited to state.. I asked for the manager and told the "acting" manager what happened. He had the decency to at least apologized for the pit and lack of quality control. Then he took the cost of the salad and the pizza off our bill. Quality sure has gone down hill. I had a pit in my salad and now tooth hurts. Told our waitress and she didn't care nor did she ask if I was ok. She said "oh no" and walked away. The Cesar salad pizza used to have tomatoes on it but the one I ordered today does not. We wont be back again. read more

Full disclosure: the only pizza I ever get here is the Holy Shitake...mainly because it is my favorite pizza in the whole world. But the pizza itself deserves five stars. On full review, the service has always been great at this location. It's clean and has good ambiance. I highly recommend it. Side note: a small salad can feed at least three people, maybe four depending on how much salad you like. We usually split a Caesar salad...fresh shaved parmigiana cheese, great Caesar dressing, and delicious croutons. Love this place, love the food. read more

The servers are awesome. Very, very nice and friendly! Best customer service I've had in a very long time, ask for Maverick. Will definitely be coming back! lost a star only because I'm hoping for more mushroom soup with the togo orders. It is so good that not having enough; is worth a star. :p read more

Yesterday we ordered for pick-up. We called at 4:02. They told me over the phone it would be 20 minutes until the order was ready. We ordered a medium pizza with 10 chicken wings in which I asked if they could be extra crispy. We got there around 4:20ish the place was pretty empty. We paid and literally waited an extra 25 minutes without any updates or offers of getting us a drink. We have worked in the food industry and as a manager myself in the past when people are waitIng extensive times I would offer a fountain drink on the house while they wait. That did not happen. We live near by so 5 minutes later we were home and I opened the wings and they were beyond soggy. The pizza was mediocre. For $40.00. I personally don't think it was worth it. The chicken was dry and just didn't taste right. I'm not sure if I will be returning. I was really craving some "good pizza". The wait for the pick up was a little ridiculous. I did end up getting food poisoning from them so I definitely will not be coming back. I noticed they had a lot of fruit flies at the bar next to the olives. read more

First timer here. Very fun and quirky atmosphere. Immediately seated. Mediterranean salad was a disappointment. Basically all iceberg lettuce and too many peppers, although the buffalo chicken pizza redeemed it. Amazing flavor and crust. It took what seemed like forever to get the food and it was not busy at all. Not sure if we will come back but it was worth the try read more

I wish I could give star ratings separately; one for the food and one for the customer service. The food was good, but I prefer a more traditional pizza. I will say that the cornmeal crust was AMAZING! Now to the customer service! HEAR THIS EVERYONE: This place had my husband and I amazed at their customer service! It's EXTREMELY rare to want to go back to a place, not because of the food, but for the customer service! Mellow Mushroom Mesa - Looking forward to our first taste! - Salad Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

First of all my pizza is an oval. Second of all, it didn't come hot from door dash and my location was less than 3 miles. Didn't order during peak time. Lastly, I paid for Italian sausage on my half of the great white but didn't get any on it wtf. Glad I didn't order chicken cause it was $2 extra. Got bacon on the other half and I KID YOU NOT it looks like 1 slice of bacon was used. Mellow mushroom in the north valley is WAY better. Haven't had a problem with the happy valley or desert ridge locations. Heck, even when my coworker order from the Tempe location it was good. read more

I absolutely L.O.V.E. love Mellow Mushroom. I typically go to the locations in North Phoenix, but this location is by my work. The first time I visited this location was just before Christmas, and let me tell you the fruit flies are OUT OF CONTROL! We brought it to the managers attention and were assured they were aware of the problem and working on it. I didn't write a review then, because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Fast forward to a couple of days ago, and guess what? That's right the fruit flie infestation continues!! I cannot believe that a business can safely and sanitarily operate with such a rampant infestation. I get that fruit flies are particularly difficult to handle, but good grief, have some pride in your business and take the appropriate actions to correct the problem. "We're working on it" just doesn't cut it!!!!! read more

The food is alright but the service was atrocious, it was a bit busy so I understand to a certain extent. However, it was me and one other person, and our server constantly chose to ignore us. He didn't ask if we wanted drinks refilled after walking by our table multiple times with my empty drink sitting there. He rushed to get our drink order out of the way then took about 30 minutes before we finally got to put in our main order, after which we waited almost another hour to get it. If I could've only paid the cooks, I would've. Other than that, I've never wanted to diner dash somewhere so bad in my life. Do better read more

I hardly ever write reviews but I was there on Tuesday 8/24/21 and as I was waiting for my food there was this cockroach running around on the tables and booths. Sent the food right back and wanted to leave immediately. The server I told first was apparently "on the spectrum" but the second server did absolutely nothing about the cockroach and left it on the floor. After I KILLED IT!! This place used to be my favorite and you can't beat the happy hour but the service is terrible and there are bugs that don't get taken care of. I'm very displeased and would appreciate if someone did something about this horrible experience. read more

Walked in with a party of 2. Hostesses asked if a table was ok. I said we'd like a booth please. (I was having killer back pain) She stated that there was a shift change and there weren't any booths open where she needed to seat us. I said ok, well that means a table has to be ok then. She walks us back. 3 open booths! Seating us at a table, with an open booth 2 ft away...I asked, pointing to an open booth..'we can't have that one?" She said , "No we're in a shift change and you are in the 'cut off' area and it will not balance their tips." WHAT??? 2 minutes later she brings a family and seats them in a booth. WHAT? Hey Mellow Mushroom Management, if you want to make it, GET CUSTOMER FOCUSED! I am the customer. I don't come and spend my money at your restaurant based on shift changes. You ASKED about my preference of seating. Then said oh no... you can't have that because our employees scheduled areas and their tips come first. Seriously not cool and may be the last time we eat here. read more

What a disappointment! Their pizza looked nice, but so do pictures, and you wouldn't enjoy eating a picture. The crust was dry and their tomato sauce was flavorless. I always order the same pizza the first time I eat somewhere. I have named it the TOMB! Great for a Halloween night. Tomato, onion, mushrooms and bacon. One small Roma tomato cut into 6 slices adorned my pizza so that not every slice had some. I hate to knock an establishment's food, but I think I gave them one more star than they deserved. The staff is nice, friendly, and their bar does a great business. Maybe I should of just had a few drinks! read more

First time trying this place tonight. Here's my simplified review for the people who want it short and sweet. Beneath it you'll find a full review of my visit. The two Pizzas were good (one was a pepperoni pineapple. And a pesto chicken spinach) the dough was yummy and they sprinkled Parmesan on the crust. The service was decent. Not bad, but nothing special. Maybe next time Atmosphere was chill! I liked it even though I was only there for a few minutes. Here's my full review of my experience: We got a to-go order so we could enjoy dinner and a movie at home. I called in and placed a To-go order after worrying that I couldn't trust the online order on their website. I repeated everything I ordered to make sure the girl taking my phone got it, and unfortunately they didn't repeat my order back to me so I could confirm it so I called back and asked, and it was correct. When we got home though the pizza i ordered myself definitely isn't thin crust, like the receipt says. So it was a cook error, not the cashier. It's understandable, it happens sometimes. I'm a little Bummer because I definitely prefer thin crust but this pizza is still good so I'm not too upset. The other pizza I order wasn't thin crust so it was easy to compare the two. My crust is definitely regular style, not thin haha I'll add a picture. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pretty cool. It's a big place with lots of tables but not too big where it's overwhelming. The service I got wasn't anything special but it wasn't bad either, so it was decent. I'll definitely be back to give this place another try. The pizza is good read more

I placed an order for two appetizers. Artichoke and spinach dip with pita bread, and their pretzel bites with some kind of beer cheese dip. I took 1 hour and 21 minutes to arrive. I live 2 blocks from this location. I think it was Door Dash that delivered. Everything was cold. There was no dip for the pretzel bites. If there was any liquid in the artichoke and spinach dip it was either spilled out or hardened into a gel with the lump of artichoke and spinach and was taking up about 1/10th of the container. A very poor presentation. What a sickening experience for $27. Gee I could have called Rino D's and ordered a large pizza with everything and it would have arrived hot (I'm the same distance away) for the same price including tip. I called to complain and someone at least refunded the pretzel bites. I will never again order any food in person or at home from Mellow Mushroom. Update: I complained to Door Dash and went back and forth with them through email and they just didn't give a damn. The know that they "failed me". No apology. I will never again order online using anyone who uses Door Dash as a delivery service. EVER. read more

Took my family to Mellow Mushroom last night and was greeted by a quietly spoken hostess and taken to our table where Steven, our server, awaited to take our order. After explaining to him that I was on the Keto lifestyle and requested a "non-crust" pizza, he said that he wasn't sure if they could do that but he would ask the manager (Anthony). Anthony came to our table and said they don't offer a pizza like that but he would "give it a shot" for me. About 10 minutes later Anthony came out with an AWESOME LOOKING AND TASTING "Mighty Meaty with no crust!!! He even admitted to getting back in the kitchen and "chef'ing" it up. (Nothing better in a leader than someone that is willing to get their hands dirty..much respect for that). There are two things that most people look for in a restaurant...great food and better service and I got BOTH as this team went above and beyond to think outside the box and serve up a doughless pizza. I will definently be back and if Mellow Mushroom ever plans on adding a "Keto-Pizza", I will be more than happy to share that info with the Keto Nation. Thank you Anthony and Steven for fantastic service!!! read more

We ended up going to this place randomly. We were starving and looking for something hardy to eat. We ordered the largest meat lovers pizza with the regular crust. Yowza! It was super good and such a huge pizza! The waiter, Rob was super helpful and suggested we hop onto Groupon for their latest deal going on $20 for $10. Spend $10 and get $20 worth of food. Nice! That's exactly what we ended up doing. We asked for vegan cheese because of dairy allergies, however, the waiter forgot. To make it up, we ended up getting a whole entire new vegan pizza. Now that's what I call great service! We'll be back! read more

Horrible experience!! They have sewer flies and we were too busy swatting them away to enjoy our drinks. It got so bad we had to reject our order of food in fear of contamination. When we asked to speak to a manager he was very rude about the whole situation and said we must pay for our drinks which we couldn't even enjoy nor finish because of the sewer flies. Absolutely disgusted and will never be back. read more
