Lucy was my nail technician, and she did an excellent job. She was a little shy, but she was incredibly hardworking, patient, and thorough. I'll definitely be back. Thank you, Lucy!

I don't usually write a review but I think this place deserves one. We had a wonderful experience! Tammy and Yen took great care of us, and we were really happy with the results. They're both very friendly and clearly take pride in their work. They took their time to make sure everything was perfect. I got a manicure and pedicure, and my friend got a manicure--we could tell they really knew what they were doing. Unlike other salons we've been to, there were no gaps along the edges of our nails. This salon is close to where I live and I used to go there before. I liked their quiet place and…read moremassage I received there. The reason I stopped going there: nail polish was not spread evenly. Today I needed pedi and I was in a rush, so I thought maybe they fixed it and went to the salon out of convenience again. They were understaffed, the girl took me in nicely, gave a few good advices, but then the process was rushed (I did not mind it as I myself was in a rush, but if I would come there to relax, that would be an issue). In the end a new client came in and the girl was spreading nail polish on my big toes. As salon is very dark, I just had a feeling it was done poorly, but when I came home: OMG!!!! All these bumps! Seriously? Who does it??? Probably the girl thought that she does not need to try for 50+ lady, well, it was my costly mistake. The whole thing cost as my regular pedi in DC (which already includes callus removal, scrub with massage, towels, lotion with long massage without gloves) + a gel manicure. I entertained the idea of going back and asking them to fix it, but then thought - what is the point? I will receive negative vibe, plus the very reason they did it - means they do not care. Why would they care all of a sudden? Will be scheduling with DC lady so she could remove this mess and do what she does. Never again!

This is one of the very few nail salons open on Sunday, maybe because it's Memorial Day weekend?…read moreThe woman would not honor my Yelp 10% off, rudely dismissing me and telling me "that's old!" Without even looking at me. Their shelf of polish is very limited and disorganized. Any nail salon I have ever been to in any state has always separated their shelves by regular and shellac. I went over to their one and only shelf where they had actual polish (everything else was filled with weird packaged stuff) and looked through their very limited collection of colors. I couldn't find any light purple, so I picked a sparkly, nice looking pink. After sitting down I noticed that it said gel on the polish, so I inquired and indeed it was for shellac, not regular. So many other polishes on that tiny shelf also said gel, so it's basically a very limited and disorganized mess. I did appreciate that one of the employees found a similar looking color for me. The place was virtually empty, again surprising given that it's Memorial weekend Sunday and every other nail salon in the area is closed. The man who did my nails was kind and caring about his work. The place also looked clean. Due to this mixed experience, I'm giving this 3 stars.
