We got the Chicken Tinga Nachos as an appetizer and it was a perfect amount for the 4 of us. I got a burger and it was pretty delish. We got the s'mores pizookie for dessert and I really enjoyed it. It's baked to order so it takes a little bit but I thought it was worth it. And if that's not your thing, Menchies is right next door and always a treat. Tons of games and such and they even had trivia on the TV. Just a really great neighbourhood spot!

I was proactive and made reservations from their website. It was same day so we got in for 1:30 PM which was great when you want a lazy morning. Upon arriving, the location is in a shopping plaza but nothing else appears to be open or even in business. There's plenty of free parking in the lot but we took a ride share. There's nearby retailers like Costco but in this complex it looked dead except for Sugar Jam. When you enter, people were waiting to be seated and you can hear the music from outside! This is a lively, DJ friendly atmosphere with lots of activity happening from the bar to the dining room. The hostess checked us in, we walked around and took pictures, admired all the beautiful people dining and it's an open kitchen where you see the orders coming up. Mom and I were seated maybe 10 minutes after our reservation time. We were greeted by Vante - such a nice young man who was patient and helped us decide on what to order. We settled on the margarita flight, the watermelon hibiscus whisky smash, wings & waffles and the French toast and chicken. I also got blessed with a shout out from the DJ and a free shot for my birthday! The food came out quickly (however not together), was plated nicely and the flavors were present. The brown sugar butter and warm syrup on my French toast was a hit. The only complaint I'd note is the heat inside the establishment. I left my fan and desperately needed it. They did eventually bring out some industrial fans to cool the dining area off. The a/c needs to crank harder with all the bodies plus open kitchen. Otherwise, a great spot to eat, sing along, vibe a little and enjoy great breakfast food.

My friend and I pulled up and immediately thought, "This has to be a business or industrial area. This can't be it!" But sure enough, it was! Parking is pretty scarce, so just a heads-up. When we walked in, we noticed how aesthetically pleasing the place was. The artwork and decor were on point, and even the bathroom was decorated really cute! Our food came out pretty quickly. I ordered the catfish and grits. I personally prefer cheesy grits, but these came with a Southern gravy that was actually pretty good. I also like my fried eggs crispy around the edges, and they made them perfectly! I ordered the breakfast punch, which was just okay. It tasted more like juice, and I couldn't really taste the alcohol. I also wanted to try the margarita flight, but $30 was a little too pricey for me.Our waiter wasn't very sociable compared to some of the other waiters working that day, which was a little disappointing.Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would definitely eat here again if I'm ever back in Arizona. However, I'd probably just order takeout next time!

If you're looking for perfectly fried comfort food, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I ordered the Chicken & Fried Shrimp Basket with the standard fries. I could have chosen coleslaw instead, and in hindsight I probably should have since I'm not much of a fry person. But the real star here is the fried food. Both the chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly--crispy, golden, and packed with crunch in every bite without being greasy. I'm also a huge sauce fan, so I had to sample a few. I tried the ranch, garlic Parmesan, and Nad's Sauce. The clear winner for me was the garlic Parmesan. It was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with both the chicken and the shrimp. The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was incredibly friendly, took the time to walk us through the menu, and checked on us several times throughout our meal. Since you order at the counter and then find a seat, that extra attention really stood out and made us feel welcome. Great food, great service, and a place I'll definitely be coming back to!
