I was up here a few days ago as I was in the area on a trip. Never had shopped in a Meijer store before, as we have none in Georgia and I was quite impressed. The staff were all very helpful, the store is very clean and well organized. They have a good deli department and they have the best self checkout area of any grocery store. The one's in Walmart are terrible, as they have a very limited space for your groceries and they constantly stop working. The one's Meijer uses have enough space to scan your groceries and also work perfectly. Pity we do not have any Meijer's here in Georgia, as I would much prefer to shop here than any other grocery store. read more

Not the first time rotten produce or fruit has been picked up curbside. Whenever this happens, a manager provides coupons that cannot be used for curbside pick-up so they're useless unless I shop in-store, which I rarely do. Prefer better quality control over coupons for mistakes. read more

I love shopping at Meijer! They have a great selection and pretty good prices. I use my MPerks and get money off from stuff I buy regularly and also $$ off my total orders. I save and use them for gas also!! Fifty cents off for gas helps me alot. One thing I love it they have benches in the back part of the store. I'm elderly and I get pretty tired with the huge stores we have now. And Meijer is the only one where I can sit down for a minute or two and get my strength back!! I got locked-up Pokemon cards for my kid. They said it would be at check out. I still had some shopping to do. When I got up there, I went to look for an employee that didn't seem busy. I went in line 15, I left the line real quick while 15 was checking someone else out. I found a blonde-braided girl with dark roots sitting and eating at 17. Her line was locked, and I asked if she was on lunch or a 15-minute. If she was, I would leave her alone. But she said no while taking another bite. I asked about my Pokemon cards and told her where I was. She just chewed and said, "Yeah... idk" and just sat there and ate. Like fine eat, but don't be rude. I had to look for another busy lady, and she helped me. I felt bad. I had to pull her away from the self-checkout spot. But she was nice. Don't hire fucking brats. Hire people that want to work. This store is clean, one of the cleanest I've encountered recently. The staff is always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

They never have registers (more than 2 open).. and today was extra special. Waited in line forever.. just to be told cash only! Nice clean store, not as nice as good a selection as some of the other locations, My biggest frustration is just the lack of attended check out lanes. I generally purchase a full cart, preferring to place it on the belt and let the attendant scan my items. On any given Saturday morning, you will find 2 out of 18-20 lanes staffed and open. Omg wow! Seriously WoW! This place is seriously the one stop shop for anything and everything one might need! It's like a mini mall, and great brands! I was scared this place would house all sorts of off name stuff but no, it's just Walmart on crack! They have an even bigger selection than our super Walmarts in DC!!!!! Holy crap! Supermarket, lots of fresh local beautiful produce, bakery, pharmacy, shoes, clothes, electronics, knickknacks, and so much more! I'm just flabbergasted really. Higher prices, lower quality--Meijer. That's not their slogan, but that's what I find. This store was fairly good with friendly employees. It also seemed clean, and there weren't a lot of products in the way, even though someone was re-stocking shelves. My trouble with Meijer is that they're a hit-or-miss kind of company, even worse than Walmart. They lack consistency, except for their high prices. I found an Invisible Shield product for my iPhone 5c, and it was reasonably priced. In this way, they were better than most of their stores. Unfortunately, that was all I found. It's odd to me that their DVD/Blu-Ray section seems to have 1 of each item only, so when they're out, they're out, and probably will never have another but except for the grocery, each store seems to work that way. Half of the self-checkouts seemed to be disabled, but then, it's difficult to tell, unlike the same brand machines at Kroger. The self-checkout I used wouldn't accept my $20 bill, but was fine with two $10 bills? Weird. Who knows? read more

This Meijer use to be my go to grocery store, as I live right by it, but not so much anymore. The last few times I have been there, half of the self check-out machines have been down, and I have had to wait for upwards of 10 minutes to access one of the machines. They also are out of what I need half of the time. The last straw was when I went there today to try and return something. One of the ladies working at the customer service counter was extremely rude to me. Unfortunately, I will not be shopping at this location anymore. I will gladly drive a bit farther to Wal-Mart or Kroger where I rarely if at all have any of these issues. read more

I love Meijer. It was new to me when I moved to Ohio. This one is right by my apartment so I frequent the place about four times a week. This Meijer is very nice, good selection, and fresh produce. Critical comments: There is always a line at checkout, whether it's self-checkout or not. There are so many unused checkout lanes (often only two to three are manned out of about 12 or so, and during peak hours too). So this frustrates me. Also the grocery prices are not as cheap as actual grocery stores. I was blown away when I went to Kroger with my girlfriend and saw their much lower prices for same to higher quality of food. Nontheless, I'm an avid supporter of Meijer and this one in particular. A lot of my money goes to them a lot of the time. read more

I've had decently good experiences here at Meijer. The construction seems to be never-ending but good. I am updating this review and changing it from 4 to 5 stars because of the following: * I have had some less than great interactions with staff here. Most are wonderful but I had a lady insist on repeating what her coworker did for no reason when their chip reader broke. Neither worker apologized for their chip reader being broken and sent me to cashier services where I had to wait in line AGAIN. This was on 8/12/2016. * The store has been REALLY full and it's not even back to school time yet. read more

When we walked into this Meijer location we were impressed. It seemed to us as if it was a new location..it had a very new and clean feeling to it. After reading other reviews I now know that it had been recently renovated..but regardless it still was a really nice looking store. Besides this tho..overall we were really unimpressed with this location. It's a huge store with so much to sell, yet every single item we came here looking for we could not find. We mainly came in to pick up some Halloween decorations, because last year we got the majority of ours from our neighborhood Meijers. Their selection was so small, we could not find a single thing item we were looking for. There were other random grocery items we were there for, and they were either out of them or they didn't stock them. We know that other locations carry these items, so we were pretty confused on why we couldn't find any of them. If you're from other states and you don't know Meijer's, YOU MUST TRY THEIR CINNCREDIBLES (Bakery section). Cinnamon Roll Buns are fantastic! But I wish they had the calories listed on the box. I even called customer service and emailed them but was referred to their "NUVAL" website which doesn't list the calories for CINNCREDIBLES. I guess they don't want you to know. In the mornings, they have a lot of 40% off deals (sandwiches, cut fruits and veges). The best time to shop is Sat, Sun, and Mon. This is when they have huge sales going on, like $1 events. I bought 10 Pepperidge Milano cookie packages for $3.50 (buy 1 get 1 free). They sell "SO DELICIOUS COCONUT MILK"! This was a surprise, because I had to drive to Jungle Jim's to get them. They're stocked in dry storage near Soy milk, Almond milk, and Rice milk. The "Meijer" brand products are not bad at all. In particular, these products are really delicious: Meijer brand - Honey roasted Almonds (very crisp) Meijer brand - Baked Tortilla Chips (only 6 calories a chip!) and LIGHTLY salted, an extra plus! Meijer brand - Organic Mushrooms at only $2.00 a pint. Meijer brand - Vitamin Gummi Bears ($10.59) (big jar) Occasionally they have a sale where you can buy 1 get 1 free! Sometimes they have *whole* trout (with the head and tail) and I love this because I can stuff it with sliced lemons and grill it on my cast iron grill. Add some McCormick's Lemon Pepper seasoning and eaten with sticky rice + authentic Korean kim chee = fabulous. They also sell oxtail which can be made into a healthy, calcium rich, meaty Korean bone soup known as "Kori Gom Tang" or "Oxtail Soup." They also have silken-soft tofu packaged in cardboard near the mushroom section. This is the perfect ingredient in Soon Tofu (a very spicy Korean seafood/beef hot pot with egg) eaten with hot, sticky rice! Make sure you get the silken tofu though, in the cardboard box not the plastic one. Recipes at: www.maangchi.com In terms of Asian selections of produce and food, it's pretty slim. So that part does suck, but being that we're in the midwest, I honestly don't expect markets to carry Asian food when the population is a mere 1%. read more

Meijer is a mega sized grocery store and a department store (like Target) in one. They have fantastic deals on food and clothing, household products/furniture, electronics, and alcohol because they buy so much merchandise. The store itself is a huge and you can spend hours walking around the aisles. One of my favorite features of Meijer is that they are open 24 hours. I would do my shopping after midnight when the store was less crowded and while the staff were stocking the shelves!! It was peaceful and I got everything I needed. Boy, oh boy, why I am I such a sucker for this "big box" retailer? First off, I love Meijer. I wish there was one in my home state. This place has EVERYTHING! And when I say EVERYTHING, I mean you will usually find what you came for. This place is great for those late-night grocery shopping adventures. Whenever I have been late at night it is usually pretty empty, with the exception of a few college kids also doing late night shopping. This place is like Walmart, but without everything that makes Walmart a not-so-desirable place to shop. The grocery section is huge. (And is it just me, or are the grocery prices really good?) I'm a bit hesitant to admit it but I also bought a few pairs of really comfortable and not-so-terrible looking shoes here, and they were on sale. Score! They also actually have a decent sized clothing section also, at least for men. I haven't scoped out the women's clothing section (what would I need women's clothing for?) but it seems pretty decent also. There's a pharmacy, like most big box retailers, you've got your electronics/movies/games section, your bakery/deli and pretty much everything else you can think of. In fact the only thing I wish they had was sushi & poke But I'm in Ohio, so I'm not going to expect that. 24-Hours. Yes! Convenience. Yes! Tons of Parking. Yes! 5 stars. Yes! read more

Tons of construction is going on right now at this Meijer's but it's not too bad. It's very similar to a Walmart. Just be careful of which side you enter in on the parking lot. You can't go in through Presidential. And the entrance moved... it's closer to the Zink Rd side. Most of the checkouts here are now self checkout lanes. The only problem is when you bring your own bag and the employees have to verify that you brought your own bag. It does not work as well as other self checkout places where you can clear the scale yourself. The lines are never too long here and they carry tons of things that Walmart does not carry. This Meijers is HUGE! They sell everything from Barbie dolls to alka seltzer. Where else can you go buy peaches and motor oil under one roof? It is actually pretty similar to a super Walmart with better service and a higher end clientele. Prices are pretty reasonable and you can even register for the Meijers perks club and get awesome coupons on your smart phone. You can of course use the good old fashioned ones from the newspaper too. This place is great and no doubt it will be my new go to grocery, automotive, toy store and pharmacy (and more). read more

I came here twice this weekend and in a matter of a day or two, there were so many items that I needed that were out of stock. The boy says that this is common at this location and they run out of things quickly. We did have a lot of fun walking through the toy aisles and playing with some of the toys. They also have a nice clearance section in the back of the store where you can get some good deals but be prepared to dig through them a bit to find things that aren't dinged up. The produce section is the best part of this Meijer. They always seem to have a wide selection of fresh produce and the staff is really friendly about helping you find things that you need. read more

So I called the store on Sunday morning Nov 1st at 9am, to simply ask a yes or no question. Was placed on hold. I decided to drive to the store myself. Still on hold. I arrived at the store at 9:26 am, still on hold and just walked up to a cashier to ask my question. Was told no. And decided I could hang up the phone finally. They have improved their service, ad prices,and instock on items has improved. The order process is easier than Kroger's service, they break things into smaller categories. The only downside is their service fee is double that of Kroger's. read more

They may be able to improve the outside of their stores but the shopping experience and product selection is the same old drudgery. I feel drained after shopping here, I just don't enjoy shopping in these large stores. I find that I spend more when I frequent big box locations like this store and Kroger or Walmart. I am glad they haven't put all the smaller stores out of business yet. I try to eat real food in its natural state without antibiotics etc., so I just find myself frustrated in these large corporate stores. read more

My favorite moderately priced grocery chain. I swear this place is always open...Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day. If you suddenly realize you need something, you can bet your bottom dollar that Meijer is open. I greatly enjoy their produce selection. While I do have a "Meijer equivalent" in southern Illinois, it costs more and isn't quite as convenient. This location is also located right next to a Starbucks! What's better than sipping a latte while you get some grocery shopping done? Very poor check out service. Service really wasn't the right word either. 30 minutes to check out 4 people. The manager only manage to have two cashiers open. So we had to wait and wait. It's okay though. I've discovered the kmart of food stores. So know I shop at kroeger and even walmart. Why bother. Too much effort for frustrating experience. read more

This Meijers is my favorite place to shop because its fast and cheap. I usually do most of my big shopping here because they have most of the things i buy regularly and have pretty good specials throughout the store. They are missing a few things here and there that i need but those i get at specialty stores. This place is actually kind of far for me to shop but i like to go here for the big shopping trips and when im at school at WSU to pick things up really quick. They have saved my butt a few times for school supplies. If they were closer i would go more often but when i pass literally 3 other grocery stores to get here its hard to justify the quick stop or last minute shop here. read more

This Meijer has a lot to offer in terms of value. When compared to other stores carrying identical items, Meijer's prices are always lower. Sales are frequent on items that I buy most often. The quality of the goods is very good. Dairy and eggs are always fresh. Chicken comes at a very reasonable price, however, the beef doe not come in a high abundance of cuts, and can hence be pricey. Employee are friendly, and there have been only a few times when I could not get an employee to help me. This is usually at night. Meijer carries more than food as it is nearly a full-service one-stop shopping experience. The pharmacy component with related items is very convenient. Clothing and dry goods are also very convenient. If they only had furniture. read more

On the downsize is too often they are out of stock what I need or I can only get the "meijer's" brand. Overall, store is always clean, fruits are fresh, and the 24hrs is great! Recommend! read more
