TALK to Fran manager about an employee who had brought groceries out to the car next to where I was parked . I witnessed the Kroger employee picking his nose several times handling the ladies groceries than spitting several times. I called asked for manager i was connected to Fran explained to her how unsanitary this was and explained to her how my wife shops there several times a week and how sick I got watching this and how I called my wife inside store to leave groceries in cart we are going somewhere else because of how sick I got . Fran acted like this was ok , normal for this person ,and Kroger since they hire special needs .I explained to her that's fine but Krogers has to comply to sanitary food regulations just like any other business who IS WORKING WITH FOOD . Dont go if u want to be accused of stealing. I went to check out maybe 4 items and a big bundle of paper towel. Scanned it and then got harassed by the worker if I scanned my paper towels in about 4 or 5 times. Yes I have worked a u scan before. If I don't do it right maybe u should get rid of u scans. Worst Kroger ever. It is super busy and is always filled to the brim with people every time and everyday. Trying to dodge all these customers in my way is like trying to dodge raindrops, and some isles are impossible to get into even without a cart because of the sheer amount of people in the isle at once, so I have to wait, which is extremely infuriating when I come in to just grab one thing in one isle really quickly. They should not have built a Kroger here, the land is too small for the only grocery store for like 13 miles. read more

This review is on customer service. I had a large order. While checking out, I noticed that the price of one of the items was incorrect. I told the woman who was checking me out. She was indifferent. I explained that I chose that item over another brand because of the better price. She asked if I had a picture of the item price. What? Why would I have a picture of the item price? I was alone and I wasn't about to leave the line and go look for the price. Isn't that the job of the Kroger employee? She said it wasn't her job. I left without my order. Clean store with good selection. I was looking for a small chocolate cake and a small carrot cake for a double birthday I was celebrating for relatives. I found an combination Chocolate-Carrot-Pumpkin-Caramel. All four cakes were very good especially the Carrot Cake. The cakes were divided into 4 section with a separator that made it easy to cut the individual cakes. A clear plastic outside ring helped keep the cake together during travel and there was an outside plastic cover protecting the whole cake. The price was very reasonable (about $12.70) and the cake was as good as cakes from much more expensive bakeries. I was very happy with the cakes I get from Kroger's bakery department. read more

Nicely (re)done Kroger Marketplace (aka Kroger on STEROIDS). I'm never usually over at this location, but took a drive out to B'creek. over the weekend and wound up here... Coming from the "STICKS," aka Springfield, this place is semi-overwhelming at first, then you remember that it's not much different (set-up wise) from a Meijer or (gasp!) Super Walmart. They DO have wonderful, expanded deli, bakery, health food, and produce sections, compared to a regular Kroger, and I found myself walking around like I was in a museum (don't get out much......!!) Ironically, I didn't find what I needed (a specialty vitamin/supplement) and wound up going across the street to CVS!! Nice, clean, well-organized spot. Bonus points for the bank (Fifth-Third... Mine!!), walk in health clinic, (nice!) Pharmacy, Starbucks (cozy...), and jewelry store (whaaaaaaat?!?). If I lived here, I think I'd be in danger of taking EVEN more time (procrastinating) than I already do wandering the aisles of my local food museum... errrrrrrr....... I never thought I could get so excited for a grocery store. (I must be getting old). But this Kroger has it all! I probably spent about 2 hours there today. Anyways, I digress. First of all their bakery, grill, deli, fruit and vegetable section are all very impressive. And they have a ton of samples to try, of pretty much everything. I got full just walking around and trying all the samples. The organic section is pretty impressive compared to other Krogers I have been too. I found everything I was looking for, and at decent prices. They have a large selection and the store is nicely laid out. I found everything on my shopping list and with minimal effort. I actually have to pass a regular Kroger to get to this one. Sad..but that's the truth. The employees here are all super friendly. Everyone I passed asked if I needed help or if I was looking for something. Admittedly I did look pretty lost just wandering around. I've never been to a grocery store and gotten this level of service. Also I hear they will order anything for you that they don't have in stock. They actually got alligator meat for my sister. I don't think I will shop anywhere else again! read more

The pharmacy has to be one of the most customer unfriendly experiences I have ever had.

Went to pick up post op pain meds for total knee replacement. They could not find the script. No worries, after waiting almost 2 hours at drive thru, we're going home , will take tylenol. We will be back tomorrow. The next day: pharmacy still cant locate script. After a call to the doctor, they called in the script again. There was no answer, so they left it in the voice mail. The next next day... 24 hours later. We waited 45 minutes in the drive thru again, guess what, " it will be an hour, we only just received the script" they said. no they only just checked the doctor voice mail line. So here we are 3 days post op and no tramadol yet. Thanks for caring about your loyal customers! read more

The Beavercreek Kroger's has absolutely turned into a disaster zone. The store no longer wants to hire people to work the registers, they feel that self checkouts are the way to go for some reason so they can save more money. Cut corners has more delays in inconvenience instead of having Americans make money and do a job providing good customer service. Instead, you see people commit thefts more easily when they use the self scan. Don't worry the store doesn't lose out on money instead of worrying about the theft being committed, the store will just increase grocery prices for the every day American to make up for their theft lost. The employees that are supposed to be watching the self check out lines and helping the customers are more interested on playing with their mobile phone and looking at social media instead of being observant to the customer and providing good work ethic to Kroger. What happened to the good old days when you had personal clerks you could speak with customer service that you could count on my gosh the store needs a new revamping new management new corporate CEOs in a whole new facelift. Very important note!! Please be very cautious with checking your receipt because the store will absolutely overcharge you through deception claim in the computer system has not been updated yet. When you look at sales price, you ain't always getting the sale price keep that in mind. Honestly, I could see a class action lawsuit being filed in the next few months if more people start picking up on this little trick. read more

This is my go to Kroger because it is clean and convenient. The produce is fresh and there is a ton of organic products available at this market. I do try to avoid coming on the weekends because it can get very crowded. There are many checkout lanes readily available to avoid having to wait for a long time to get your shopping done. read more

This is a fantastic store. It's got so much to offer. The produce/deli/bakery section are fantastic! There is a huge variety- more than your standard grocery store and there are often awesome samples to try. The drive up window to the pharmacy is very convenient, and of course there is a gas station too (but it's a little pricey, compared to the Fairborn Kroger). Another nice feature is that they have thoughtfully put some milk, eggs and bread near the front of the store for those people coming in for a quick trip. I do have a couple of complaints, which prevents me from giving this store 5 stars. First, many of the aisle markers are still blank, making it tough to find items at time. It's a very large store, so having to back track can be annoying. Second, in the parking lot, there are so many cart corrals in the lanes closed to the store. In one lane there are at least 4! That seems a bit overkill. But these are minor, and do not let them stop you from visiting this store! read more

I like this Kroger and shop there quite often. They have a great selection of fresh and organic produce and I can usually find everything in one stop. What bugs me though is that the store is quite often out of paper bags. I don't do plastic bags - period and usually bring my own- but today.. I asked for paper today and was told by the cashier that she only has 3 bags left.. When the cashier started putting some items into plastic bags and I asked her to please not to do so she got a bad attitude. read more

I live close to this Kroger so it is convenient to go to. I am handicapped and require the use of an electric cart. Most of the times I have been there their carts are not plugged in or charged. Its difficult to find one that is charged. When I do find one, it runs out of charge half way through the store. They beed better carts and someone to keep them plugged in. read more

I gave this a 5 because for a few reasons (1/2 star each) (1) This Kroger is the largest Kroger I've seen. In addition to as nice of food selection as I've seen in any Kroger, this store has a whole corner of the building devoted to furniture. (2) The staff are all friendly. I have gotten to know a few of them and miss them if they aren't in when I'm there. (3) The place is clean. (4) They have a good selection of fresh foods. (5) There's a good Starbucks inside. (6) They have a fuel station outside. (7) They have wine tastings twice a week. (9) It's my favorite place to buy groceries. I drive past 2 other Kroger stores to visit this one...It's just that much nicer. (10) because I couldn't give it 4.5 stars. Ok, I never thought I would bother to write a review on a basic every day grocery store.... but Kroger Marketplace is pretty great. If I am in the area and need to do my weekly shopping -- I'm there. If there was one closer to me, I would convert from a Meijer Shopper to a Kroger Shopper. Let me say --- this is not a standard Kroger -- which is why I actually like it. For you Starbucks freaks...yes, there is a Starbucks when you first walk in. But what else? oh.... A SUSHI Station An olive bar A HUGE salad bar A bistro area to eat whatever sandwich, sushi, soup or goodness you bought A GREAT fresh baked area for breads HUGE deli (which BTW - actually gets crawfish in every once in a blue moon.. which in my book is better than never, AND it was from Louisiana. A+) The bakery/deli/sushi area has sample stations everywhere which are filled all the time, but if you happen to be there on a Saturday you generally get the "cart lady" samples ---- last time they were actually giving out sushi samples. I WAS EXCITED. The enlarged deli area also carriers an array of fresh soups that normal Krogers do not carry. Good one to try: Corn & Crab Chowder. Yum! They also have a lot more cheese and fresh made dips. This is a great place to stock up for a party. I also have to say it was very well stocked, clean and organized. They have everything from patio furniture to sushi so I'm sure you could find something to entertain yourself with even if grocery shopping is a mundane weekly activity. read more

This place is very much like Whole Foods Market! It opened in November 2010 and redesigned the entire place. There's a lot of unique food for sale here, like Mascarpone cheese (used for Tiramisu), Coconut Milk (SoDelicious brand), a huge new bakery section, hot food section, and interesting items. Basically, I think they modeled after the Whole Foods Market because it is like one of those trendy, expensive markets in middle-upper class neighborhoods. I like Kroger for the fact that it has beef shank bones for sale, which is perfect for making soup and broth (sulung tang/ japanese ramen, etc). None of the other markets including Meijers sells soup bones...sometimes the Commissary on-base carries them seasonally. By the way, the other Kroger's are *NOTHING* like this one. If you think all Kroger markets are like this one, you will be disappointed. Some of them are pretty run down like the one in South Smithville Road. read more

People are friendly. They tend to send your prescription to be filled overnight without asking or notification. Seems like its when your Dr tells you you need to start taking immediately. They also will tell you they are out of your prescription (common rx) if they are busy. read more

I remember when Kroger used to be a scary place where good produce went to die. But....wow...I mean holy freakin' hell! This Kroger is beautiful and the food they have is amazing: Boar's Head meat out the yin yang, great looking sushi, a bakery that makes legit good breads, excellent fish market. I was seriously impressed and extremely jealous that this place doesn't exist in Maryland. Some recommendations: Boar's Head bacon, garlic clove bread, garlic pickles, sea salt butter, pretty much everything else. read more

After moving to Dayton I had to find a new Kroger. Coming from a small town I was blown away that I actually had 4 to chose from. After visiting this location I was hooked. Great selection on everything and the workers are all pretty nice! The workers at Starbucks and the cheese counter know me by name (which could be a bad thing!) and they're always helpful! Also, the place is huge! It has it's own furniture store! I know this because I had to go hunt for the milk...which is the reason I'm stopping at 4 stars. Yes, I applaud them for their maniacal genius by making me walk through aisles of things that I don't need, but will buy since I walked past it. But you almost need to set up base camp and head to the milk summit in the morning...thank goodness I only need a gallon every other week! read more

Kroger Marketplace definitely beats out the old Kroger that it replaced, however, I do not it completely beats the Kroger located on Stroop Road by Trader Joe's. For one, it lacks a comprehensive bakery section that is seen in the Kroger Fresh Fare on Stroop Road. Another quirk, is that the sushi provided in the Marketplace contains too much sushi in a container, making it hard to eat in one meal, which for my family, poses a problem and leads to waste since we do not like to eat old vegetable sushi. The organic section for produce seems to be lacking as well. There are definite pros to Kroger Marketplace. It is closer to where I live and it has a gas station! It also sells furniture and other household goods. The samples during lunchtime and dinner are awesome. My kids love the little carts to push around so I do not have to push one, but they often have to be refereed. The staff is everywhere and very helpful and the store is huge. I do not care much for the jewelry store, Fred Meyers, but if you like jewelry, well, there it is. They also have a drive through pharmacy. read more

I love this grocery store. Who would have though I could be so happy with a grocery shopping experience. They have a nice organic section as well and it is very clean. I go here everytime I need groceries, no where else. Even the sushi is better than some local places! Sad, but true. They have great produce and a great fresh fish selection. My husband & I have fish often so it is nice to have the non-frozen kind. My husband is in the military so I can go to the commisary but while the prices are better they don't have anything fresh really. The commisary produce is okay, but not great and no fresh fish or meat department. That and all the old people really annoy me so I end up spending double the time in the commisary than I would at the Kroger, for worse quality of food. I will pay the extra dollars any time just for the quality. The only down side is that there are so many people (so check out is slow) but who can blame them really. read more

Being in the Air Force I am partial to using the commissary on base, the prices are better than off base and it's very convenient for me. But when I moved to Dayton two months ago with my wife that all changed. The commissary on base is one of the worst I've seen in my time in the service and it's a pain in the ass to get to. Which is why I am now such a fan of this Kroger. I've been to Kroger stores when I was stationed in Arkansas and know they are great stores. This one in particular has great produce, meat and prepared foods sections. The sushi bar is actually making some of the best sushi in town. The store is clean, well-stocked and an all-around great shopping experience. The store can get very crowded but they usually have a lot of check-out lanes open. Also, be vigilant in the parking lot since many people do not pay attention when they drive. read more

The people who work here are extremely disrespectful. We were shopping and browsing and noticed a voice on the intercom saying "Security Scan to aisle 63" right where we were standing. I Don't need to steal and was going to spend my hard earned cash there but decided to leave and take it elsewhere. the attitude we got from the people working there was totally disrespectful and they made a scene and made us feel terrible even though we did not do anything. This Kroger store is definitely a great place to shop. Their produce department is the best around Beavercreek. If you catch the right sale, you can definitely save some money shopping here. The store has a great organic section with a variety on par to a mini-version of Whole Foods. While Wegman's is the gold standard for grocery stores this Kroger is the best around. read more

I love this Kroger Marketplace for many reasons: their produce, you can find exotic items from many countries and locally grown goods that are super fresh. The cheese selection is outstanding, and if you're getting something from the deli and don't want to wait, just enter your order into the deli kiosk and it'll be waiting for you when you're done shopping. I also love the beer and wine selection. This place offers a great variety of craft beers, make your own six packs, and wine tastings. Good times! read more

I go here quite often as it's very near where I live. Also even closer to where I "dog sit". For this reason I find it very convenient. Also they have made it quite easy and convenient to get out of there without have to wait forever to check out. Between having enough registers open and self-help registers available I usually never have to wait forever to check out! Their prices are reasonable but could be a bit lower. Wow! The gas prices may be rising, but I only paid $1.83 per gallon just the other day! I just purchase the gift cards which give 4x fuel points. The reason for the downgrade... Be warned that this particular Kroger usually charges 5-10 cents per gallon more than other Krogers, which erodes the value of fuel points, so I usually purchase fuel at other Kroger gas stations (eg, the Kroger on Dorothy Lane). ...then again, it's fun to have a free lunch while munching at all the free tastings ...lol read more
