Mario and his partner who delivered and installed my range were so nice and clearly knew what they were doing. I was cleaning under the old stove while they brought in the new one. Total failure to complete the job. We ordered new cabinets and counter tops from Lowes. Mega is the subcontractor that was supposed to deliver a new dishwasher, install, and take away the old dishwasher. So, I'm dealing with two subcontractors from Lowes. The counter company requires that the dishwasher to be "in place," but not connected to be able to properly measure, and install, the counter tops. The day prior to the scheduled installation, Mega contacted me with a reminder of the installation. I responded by explaining the counter top company's requirement to have the dishwasher in place, but not connected. So, Mega shows up and, guess what? They refuse to do the partial installation, or take away the old dishwasher. They said it was their "policy;" however, I was never informed ahead of time and they never responded to my email telling them of the countertop company's requirements. I'm 3000 miles away and now have to arrange for another delivery and installation. My wife had to take time off from work to be present for the delivery/installation. Now, I need to get the dishwasher delivered, find someone to o the partial installation, and have that complete before the scheduled countertop measuring. It, likely, means going an additional week, or longer, without kitchen sink, countertop, and dishwasher. I will never do business with Mega again. read more

Signed a contract with Mega Plumbing through Lowe's for a hot water install in West Virginia. Extremely poor communication with Mega. Was promised a call back three times, and never happened. When I finally was able to communicate to the hot water install manager through the receptionist, I learned they subcontract their work to some unknown firm. After getting the run-around, we cancelled our contract. Requested two times for confirmation they received the written notice of cancellation... crickets! We recently purchased a new range, microwave and dishwasher from Lowe's and then were assigned to Mega Plumbing for our installation. I was impressed and pleased from the get go by everything Mega did. Their communication is stellar (maybe too much, actually--LOTS of texts and phone calls), but I knew at every moment what to expect and when to expect it. And after the work was done, I received an e-mail prompting me to set up a gas inspection sign-off. Everything like clockwork. The crew was awesome, especially the lead guy. I wish I could remember his name. He was personable, efficient and knowledgeable. He communicated clearly. He even weighed in on some issues with an irrigation guy who was here at our house at the same time--all without being pushy or arrogant, just kind. This crew was able to do both plumbing and gas and was willing--for a small extra fee--to hook up the ice maker on the refrigerator I had bought a couple of weeks earlier. I couldn't be more pleased. And all of this in about an hour. Wow. Thanks, guys! One last "but." The office staff who answers the phone isn't quite so stellar. I'm not sure if I got the same young woman each time I called (2 or 3 times during the process) or different ones. But I always had the feeling that the employee would rather be doing something else and that I was bothering her. Maybe she was overworked--I don't know--but she seemed surly and wouldn't put out the effort to speak clearly enough to be understood over phone lines. To her--maybe you could slow down just a tiny bit and enunciate clearly enough so that the person on the other end doesn't have to keep asking, "Could you repeat that, please?" I think you might find that the customer will understand you better the first time you say something and won't annoy you by asking you to repeat things. Thanks for considering this idea. read more

Where do I start, the installation crew consisted of 4 young men who were all disrespectful and rude not only to my home but to my family. They arrived early by 30minutes but got upset when I told them I needed 5mins to clear the area where they were going to be. As I cleaned they attempted to leave. Long story short, assembled the appliance on the front lawn and traced dirt and grass in the house. Made mess from other materials and didn't clean. I would not recommend this company to anyone because of their reliability when it comes to schedule appointments. I've been rescheduled twice so far less than a week. If you should have to purchase any major appliance that you can't install on your own I recommend not to go with this company. I got a dishwasher from Lowes, paid for delivery, installation and hauling the old one away. When I talked to a customer service person about delivery they tried to tell me it would $75 to deliver it. I told them that it was all paid for at Lowes, 5hey said it still would cost me 5o get it done. After I had Lowes look into it and took care of it. The tech came by and told me he couldn't do it cause it needed a shut off valve. He was rather rude the whole time and didn't seem to want to be bother with talking to me. Mega Plumbing is a contractor used by Lowes for installations, the quote they provided my step mother can only be described as trying to take advantage of an elderly woman whose husband was in the hospital with severe health issues. The job was to replace an older oven with the EXACT same oven just newer. They stated that "a 40 Amp circuit MUST be installed to replace the existing 30 Amp circuit, that the electrical junction box needed to be relocated, and that a new back panel needed to be fabricated" Now to the FACTS. Their nuclear electrical inspector son (me) actually read the installation manual and discovered that the oven only draws 17.5 Amps. The existing 30A circuit is rated up to 24 Amps of continuous load per the National Electric Code. New circuit absolutely NOT required. I know for a fact that they never even LOCATED the original electrical junction box since it was mounted behind the microwave directly above the oven. The electrical cord that came with the DIRECT REPLACEMENT oven reached the existing junction box with room to spare. Junction box relocation NOT required. The cabinet never had a back panel to start so why would we need one now? NOT required. All told the price they gave to relocate the junction box and cut a rectangle of wood plus what a NoVa electrician would charge to run a new circuit would have been over $1000 in unneeded work. I picked up the oven from Lowes myself and had it installed by myself in under an hour. Buyer beware to read and understand their quotes and question everything before agreeing to the work. read more

Needed to replace a 20+ yr water heater and I wanted an AO Smith from Lowes over the Home Depot Rheem. On top of that, the quote for the heater and install was cheaper at Lowes so it was win-win for me. Turns out Mega Plumbing did the install and once my water heater came in, they called me out to schedule the install. I was glad that they were able to install it the next day (saturday) and they showed up promptly. They took out my old one and replaced it with the new one. They also saw that 2 valves were really old and replaced them for me. They also installed the water pan and expansion tank which I didn't have before and those were all included with the install which is a great deal. Best of all my new water heater is up to code! I offered to pay them a little extra work they did (clearing a sink disposal) for which they asked for $50 in cash (= no company overhead/profit). The Bright spot in my purchase of a wall oven at Lowes. I cannot recommend these folks enough. They are fast, efficient, and very nice, respectful. From getting my scheduled install dates and making the last minute schedule adjustments due to Lowes poor delivery service scheduling ( Lowes is 1 mile from my house, took 3 weeks to get a wall oven delivered) I just can't say enough. They came quickly to take measurements and give me a fair quote for install, and installed Brand new unit, and took away the old one in roughly 1 hour. It was pretty impressive. I was surprised by the work that this company did. We ordered a new dryer from Lowe's and since it was gas we decided to have it professionally installed. I assumed that a big box store would pick the cheapest most low-end plumbing operation they could find for a job like this but the two guys who came to put in our dryer were very professional. We live in a city row-house with steep stairs and somewhat narrow doorways so getting that thing installed was a huge pain for them compared to a typical suburban basement installation. There were no complaints though, they removed a couple of doors to get the dryer where it needed to go and they did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. This company damaged some lighting and has made promises to repair it - numerous attempts, several no-shows. Still have broken under-cabinet lighting. Horrible communications!!!!!! Do yourself a favor - DO NOT use this company. If you are buying appliance through anyone and they schedule this company to do the install - ask for a different contracted company because these folks are as fly by night as it gets! And when they damage your home - you will have to figure out how to either fix it yourself or pay to have someone else come in and repair their damage. Very bad service and did know what they were doing. They keep said we had bad plumbing, charge me $450.00 and didn't fix the problem. They want to open the wall and re do the plumbing for $785.00. I ordered a new hybrid gas/electric range from Lowes and they arranged for Mega Plumbing to install it. When the installers arrived, they found that my 30 year old range had a substandard installation that would not pass current County code and that they could not install my new range. Even worse yet, they noticed that the opening in our granite countertop was not large enough in width to accommodate our new range, and the granite needed to be cut to enlarge the opening, Before departing, they told me that I needed to speak with Peter and provided his number. I thought to myself, "this is just great--after waiting a few days for my scheduled installation appointment, I have broken range that needs to be replaced, a brand new range sitting in my kitchen area and installers onsite telling me that they can't do the installation" (which I had already paid for with the range purchase). I called Peter that day on Friday at 4:45PM (thinking that I probably wouldn't be able to reach anyone on the phone). To my surprise, Peter politely answered his phone, asked me a few questions about my situation and said that he would try to help me. After confirming that they worked on Saturdays, I asked Peter if I could expect to hear from him the following day, Again, to my surprise, he said he thought that he would be able to get back to me that day -after making a few calls. Peter not only returned my call within a half hour, but then told me that he had arranged for specialists to come to my house the next morning to remove the old stove and cut the granite. Further, he said to call him when the first team had completed their work and that he would personally come to my place to complete the installation. The following day, the first team arrived early that morning-after calling to alert us of their impending arrival. They promptly removed the old range and competently cut and finished the granite countertop to the required dimensions of the new range-all while controlling the substantial dust generated by the saw. Before I could call Peter to alert him that the first team had completed their work, he called me to tell me he expected to arrive at my home in about 45 minutes. Right on schedule, he and an assistant arrived. They completed the remaining modifications in advance of installing the range. He took the time to ensure every detail of the necessary adjustments and installation were completed with professional care-all to my total satisfaction. Additionally, he patiently and competently answered numerous questions about details of the modifications and installation. Before leaving they thoroughly cleaned the work area. Peter was timely, competent, friendly and good to his word. I will be sure to call him for any future plumbing needs. I highly recommend him. Annandale, VA read more

DO NOT use this company. They installed a dishwasher and told me they needed to replace a leaky valve. I asked if they could try to tighten the packing nut on the valve to see if the leak would stop. He said 2 more times I needed a new valve at $150. I asked him again to tighten the valve and he repeated it would cost $150 to replace the valve. Finally, I said I would replace the valve. After he left I tighten the packing nut and the drip stopped. The garbage disposal stopped working right after he left and I found brand-new screws that were stopping it from turning. I purchased a dishwasher through Lowes in Midlothian Virginia. I Had to wait almost 2 weeks for Mega plumbing to get an appt for install . Appt was supposed to be today November 19, 2022 between 12 and 3 pm . I work night shift a little over an hour out of town at the moment . After working all night I drove home early this morning in preparation to have the long awaited dishwasher installation. The service tech from Mega. Plumbing calls this morning before I ever get home and wants to know if he can come now ?? I told him I was not there yet but would be in 15 to 20 minutes. Keep in mind that my scheduled appt isn't for another 3 hours . He said he could not wait 15 minutes for me to get home and would have to come during our SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME BETWEEN 12 and 3 PM today . I waited WITH NO SLEEP for this person TO COME BETWEEN 12 and 3 pm . No one called or showed up . I called the number back and he tells me he will be at my home between 430 and 6 pm ??? He shows up close to 6 pm and " finds a leak in the double valve " The only way to get my dishwasher installed today is if " I CASH APP OR ZELLE HIM $150 RIGHT NOW !!!" He said he would then go to lLowes to get the part and come back and install my washer . Otherwise, I will have to wait about a week to get it installed . I questioned why he wouldn't have equipment on his truck ? He said he didn't have it . There was no leak before with the other dishwasher , but suddenly he says there is one now ??? He said he could leave the dishwasher and I could get someone else to install after I've waited and driven over an hour to get here and waited ALL DAMN DAY !! I called him a liar to his face because that is what he is !!! He didn't want to do the job unless I sent him $150 ON CASH APP OR ZELLE . He called it Zillow . I asked him to call his manager. Of course , he was not able to get him on the phone . This guy who calls himself ALI is a liar . I called Lowes and they told me this is not how it should work . I was assured that a manger from Lowes will call me to get this straight and a refund for the installation that never happened.! This guy took advantage of me because I'm a woman . He thought I would send him the money!!! And when I didn't, he refused to install the dishwasher. There is nothing wrong with this valve , but if there was , I would be able to pay over the phone thru lowes with my original form of payment !!!! Not send this character the money , so he could pocket it !??? My dishwasher is sitting in my garage because this person refused to do the job unless I sent him $150 or gave him cash . The service that I received yesterday was EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. The technician was extremely rude and combative. He showed zero interest in installing my new dishwasher although I paid a hefty installation fee. He told me that the dishwasher that I had purchased and that theywere tasked with delivering would not fit, he showed me the dishwasher and then we went inside to re measure and look at my old dishwasher. He told me that I need to buy a different dishwasher and I said that I want him to try and install the one that I had already purchased and waited on. He gave me a lot of attitude, said that he did not want to be cause it wouldn't fit, again. I went back outside to remeasure my new appliance and the other technician had already loaded it back up into his truck. I told him to get it back out because it was mine and I paid for it. Sure enough I measured it as fitting, they persisted again that it would not fit. I told the tech that they can leave my old dishwasher and the new one and refund me my installation fee and the haul away fee. It was at this point that he called him manager. Sure enough, the manager told him to install it and guess what, it fit. I cannot begin to explain how uncomfortable it is to have strangers in your home who are arguing with you and clearly not wanting to do their job. I felt that it was a horrible situation and kept my mother on the phone because it was just me, as stay at home mom, and my 3 year old son.
