We have had a problem with our kitchen sink that has just gotten worse over time. I had a plumber out to water jet from the clean-out near the washer. The kitchen sink got to where it would not drain. I tried everything I could and dumped way too much gel and other cleaner to try to clear it. Finally I called Flash Plumber. He came out same day. Very professional. Came in and listened to my explanations, poked around, and gave me a fair quote. I signed it and he went to his truck to get a large commercial rubber mat to put down at the sink and proceeded to snake it. Very clean and professional job. Ended up pulling out what looked like one of my extra long black dress socks. It was the lint and cat hair that had built up over time from the washer drain and it was at the joint where the various drains combined and ran towards the street. We live in Greenbriar south of Chantilly HS. The water jet guy never figured it out. Flash got it done quick and clean. Now, to be sure he comes with tools and experience and you don't get that for $100. I had already exhausted my skills and spent plenty on drain cleaner. Needed help asap unblocking kitchen sink. Totally stopped, tried 2 bottles of Drano max gel, and Green Gobbler. No move. Had handyman try with his snake. Couldn't do it. I second all of the other comments and five-star reviews. I found out Friday afternoon that the kitchen sink had completely backed up, and we had relatives coming in a few hours. I tried pushing through the clog with the garbage disposal to no avail, and also removed the P-trap just in case the problem was right there. At that point I began calling plumbers with good reviews. Oscar took my call and told me he'd be there in 45 minutes, which he was. He spent a few moments to understand the problem and any related plumbing that might be affecting it, all very professionally, and then told me how much the service would cost. After the dreaded ceiling leak, I quickly skimmed reviews on Yelp and Nextdoor and noticed that Flash Plumbing had consistently high reviews and a good number of recommendations. I called when Oscar was on another job, and after taking in some information on the leak and ceiling status, and a few assurances from me that I could wait until later in the day, I texted him with my details so he could get back to his other job and get back to me later.
