We had a bad water leak under our concrete foundation in our hall bathroom. A leak detection company could not locate it, but Cory at Kiddco was able to locate it and run 2 new pipes from the bathroom to our kitchen. They did excellent work, very professional and cleaned up everything. We will definitely use Kiddco again. read more

I had some plumbing issues with my place that needed immediate repairs. Kiddo provided excellent customer service and their plumbers arrive on time. read more

I called here on short notice, and Corey came out quickly. He was very friendly and professional. What impressed me most was his honesty--although I asked him to fix something, he let me know it was still okay to use and didn't need repair yet. That kind of honesty is rare and really built my trust. He also took care of the actual issue efficiently, explained everything clearly, and made sure I understood what was going on. He worked neatly, cleaned up afterward, and the repair was done right the first time. I really appreciate his honesty and professionalism. I highly recommend Kiddco plumbing and Corey! read more

We had an assortment of plumbing issues, from small to large, and Brad at Kiddco was amazing. We cannot recommend Kiddco hughly enough. They are professional, communicative, responsive, and dedicated. They came at any hour, depending on our needs, and were very clean and tidy. read more

Unprofessional, unprepared, overpriced, and no accountability. I'm attaching our invoice: a simple clogged drain estimated to take 3 hours to fix took 4 days and resulted in a $6,000 invoice because their junior plumber shoved 240ft of cables down our drain and got it stuck, due to its sheer weight and friction, despite of the fact we had access points every 100ft and they never should've used that much cable to begin with. Their team wasted 3 days looking for access to retrieve their cable. Eventually my husband had to provide them with the publicly available Fairfax County sewage map he found online, which had all of our access points and a manhole location 240ft out. That's how they finally they got their cables out. This county sewage map is public information! How a plumbing company doesn't have it readily available before shoving 6 rolls, 240ft of cable down our drain is just scary. They claimed that the cable stuck because our pipe collapsed, even proposed to dig up our lawn at one point, but now it's draining fine and they got the cable out 240ft from the house down a hill, go figure. In that invoice, they charged us for all of the hours they spent fixing their own mistake and some: time they spent going to Lowes to buy ratchet straps, walking around the property looking for access points that they should've known beforehand, as well as checking their own car's engine... see photo. They also used our deck support beam as leverage trying to ratchet out their cable, this could've ended very poorly. Husband also missed two days of work helping them out. I would avoid them at all cost. read more

Customer service overall. Pricing for work. Have no estimate and charged for whatever they say they did. Didn't even get an invoice.

Was out of the country and had a sewer backup in the basement coming out of ac drain. Had a friend coordinate the repair with them. They snaked the ac drain and charged me $435 . Said it was fixed. I get home a few days later to sewer water in the basement. Refused to stand behind their work. So had to go rent a snake and do it myself.Do not trust these guys. read more

This company was recommended by another local contractor, I'm VERY glad it was. I've contacted several other local plumbers and all of them were a mess in one way or another - zero trust... Kiddco came through in a huge way; their estimate was quick and thorough, the plumbing work was done efficiently and extremely professionally, and what I paid ended up being under the quote. This is an old-school kind of business, a type that's seriously lacking today. I trust them with our family's house, and I don't trust people very easily. Can't say much more than that, great company and I'm VERY happy to have found them. Assuming we ever need more work in the future, they're the ONLY company I'll call. read more

*** This review is an update as I was unable to remove the name of the Tech that called me with a sincere apology. For the first time on Yelp, I removed the review and I'm writing a new one. - original review was 1 star - posted 8/31/21 *** * Due to Covid, I understand the delays and issues with ordering parts, getting contracts, as well as just getting an individual out to complete a job. I cannot fault the company for any of these measures as timing was simply poor at this time. With that being said, poor communication is no excuse, and my issue resides in that aspect to a large degree. Originally, I spoke with the Office manager on a remote meter needing replacement. The initial response and promptness led me to believe this would be a quick and easy transaction. Unfortunately, due to project holds, our timeframe was pushed back significantly. Upon reaching back out, the responses were more staggered, short, and unknowledgeable. I had originally had the impression the office manager was the technician, but this was not the case. After a few weeks of waiting and poking the bear, I got hit with delays and a call about the part maybe needing to be ordered. As a safety net, I called Crowne plumbing and was able to get a tech out the same day, a quote, and seemless communication. We did hit a snag in regards to manufacturer delay, but it only lasted a week. Where I fault Kiddco is the lack of communication, responsiveness, and willingness to help. The first follow-up call I received about my meter was almost two months later (10/13/21). This was to apologize for the whole delay, lack of communication, and if we still needed the part replaced. The 2nd call, came today (10/14/21), from the tech. He was very nice, once again. He explained his background and how his friend advised him of my review which sited his first name. As he seemed genuinely concerned over the implications, the apology was truthful, heartfelt, and I understand having your name on something, I let him know I'll adjust the review. Why didn't I just post an updated review? Well yes, there is the option to provide an update on your review in which it creates a new review.. but it doesn't solve the root cause. The tech's first name would still be searchable on the original review. Does this review go into full depth of what I originally wrote? No, it does not. Why? Well, it's been two months of no contact, they found the review, then I got an apology. I'll leave the judgement up to you. Personally, I'll use Crowne, as Kiddco left a sour taste in my mouth. But, they do care (at least their techs do), so it's worth an effort. Here's to hoping the pandemic doesn't hinder your future plumbing plans. If they do? Well, other plumbers are out there, to handle you and your number 2. ;) read more

After trying everything to fix my clogged bathroom sink I had to throw in the towel and get some professional help. My building's management recommended I give Kiddco a call. Spoke with Dan who was very nice and helpful, he arranged to have Andy (who was already going to be in the neighborhood) stop by my unit the next day. That morning Andy arrived with his tools and got everything resolved in no time at all. I appreciated the extra mile he took to seal up some leaks and even scrubbed the sink clean after removing some vile gunk. The price for his time was more than reasonable in my book. I told Andy on his way out I hope I don't have to see him again, but if I need a plumber in the future I won't hesitate to give Kiddco a call! read more

Needed a backflow test, which I should have scheduled much sooner. Then the next morning hubs told me that winterization of the system had been scheduled for before the backflow test, which doesn't work because you need water in the system. So when I called back the next day and explained, without me even asking, the gentleman at kiddco offered to send his guy out at 730am before they're even really supposed to schedule them. Now, if I had been a long time customer I might expect this type of service, but this was our first time using them. I was so grateful. Their service was wonderful. read more

Professional, but poor value when they charge ~$400.00 for a simple Delta shower cartridge replacement. A $50 part. So $350 in labor for a 20min job? Save some money - there are other good plumbers that don't charge astronomical labor rates for simple fixes. read more

KIDDCO was great. I've been through a few plumbers on the way here, but KIDDCO was on time, very adept, and efficient. I recommend them.

Kiddco is a great plumbing company with good emergency response service at all hours. They are capable of handling ANY plumbing problems that a house or condo might have. Like most plumbers they are expensive, however they still remain competitively priced compared to other big box plumbing companies. I recommend Kiddco for any plumbing services that you need. read more

I recently used Kiddco plumbing for my office. The plumber added hours that he did not work onto the work ticket and then demanded to be paid even though I ( the owner was not there). He bullied my office manager and then called multiple times in an aggressive tone demanding payment. Even though the work had been done a week prior the plumber threatened to send me to collections. This company is very unprofessional, they pad the bill and I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

We had them out for an estimate, after checking the job they said they'll email it. We didn't receive any emails so after 2 days we called the office. They said they'd send it that day. Another 2 days go by and we called them again, they said they'd send it... We did a third attempt just to get the same answer. After 2 weeks we were told the estimate was for $5,000... All the other companies that were bidding on the job were between $900 and $1,200. They just didn't want to do the job and wasted our time. read more

A new update received the bill. Unethical practices and a ridiculous charge that they had done nothing at all!! I asked the plumber to leave because he wanted to waste my time, he lied in his statement stated that I kept pushing him out of the house. What a liar and trust me I would not want to touch him at all. I told him to please leave in a firm way. He also stated that he replaced my big shower head to his small one. Ok that doesn't make sense why would I want to be charged for a small disgusting small shower head!!! They are bunch of CROOKS beware!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL REGRET IT. TRUST THE 1 STAR RATING. read more

We live in California but own a condo in Fairfax. We had an issue with a toilet which was not flushing well anymore and needed to be replaced. The HOA advised us to call Kiddco because they have done quite a bit of business in the complex. Of course this made me skeptical but I decided to book an appointment and see what kind of price they quoted me. The initial appointment a serviceman came to the condo and told us we should buy a new toilet ASAP. He quoted us a dollar amount I thought we could improve upon. So I had a toilet delivered from Lowe's and then asked Kiddco to install it. Well the toilet was about an inch too high for the bathroom. Kiddco took the toilet from Lowe's back to the store and bought a new one for us! Then they installed it and it all works. I was amazed they went out of their way to help us out from across the country. They gave us a really fair price for all of the extra work that they did and even knocked off a few dollars. It is not often we find honest, hard-working businessmen like this anymore. I highly recommend using Kiddco for plumbing needs! read more

My guest bathroom had a medium-level emergency (six days before Christmas!). Kiddco Plumbing sent out an exceptional plumber in less than an hour. Jason was meticulous, explained everything that needed to be done, fixed the problem with replacement parts (after showing me what was wrong with the worn-out parts), then cleaned up his work area. The charges for the services performed were quite within reason. If needed, I will most definitely call on Kiddco again. After having used other plumbers in the past, I can honestly say my loyalties are now totally with Kiddco...highly recommend. read more

As a medical professional we depend on all systems running 100%. When we had an air leak in our vacuum system, Kiddco came out and found the problem quickly and professionally. Even after having to jump through hoops to even access the building due to building management. I recommend Kiddco Plumbing for all of your commercial needs. read more

They should let residents know before shut off water lines do maintenances. Very unprofessional!!

I had a terrible experience, I asked Kiddco to come out and fix a supply valve. They upsold me and told me I better change both which made sense at the time. At the time of the appointment I called to check the progress, the plumber had already left in 30 min. I ended up getting charged 1 hour labor for work that I did not agree to plus materials that I did not approve. To make things worse, I tried to get this resolved with Kiddco and their rep was awful. I tried to contact them in 4 separate emails over roughly 25 days and requested they respond with a solution via email which was never done. I don't recommend this company for their misleading work or their poor customer service! read more

Unethical company with shady billing practices. My husband (then boyfriend) lived in a condo community several years ago. We were replacing the tiles in the bathroom floor and we had to remove the toilet. Unfortunately, when the toilet was put back, it wasn't put on right. About a cup of water spilled in the unit below and the tenants called for a plumber. The plumber came to our unit and quickly diagnosed that the wax ring needed to be replaced. He had a spare in his truck and he was gone within 30 min. Imagine to our surprise when the bill came for FOUR hours. Since the bill came from the condo community, we tried fighting it through them. We were told that the company must charge travel time. Yeah, from sterling to reston, we were charged 3+ hours of travel time. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Came out the next day after scheduling an appointment to hook up a pool heater. The tech did the job incorrectly, which was caught by our pool guys. They guys at Kiddco came right back out and fixed it without an issue! So happy we didn't need to argue the point of the error. They fessed right up and fixed it right away. Thanks! read more

I had a plumbing emergency at 9pm on a Saturday Night. Andy was in my home within 20 minutes and easily and effectively repaired the damage. Great attitude and an honest plumber - what more could you want? I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. read more

Corey from Kiddco came out on a rush job for one of my clients. He was exceptionally careful on the property and was able to successfully diagnose a particularly tricky issue. Thanks, Kiddco, you are now on my "good" contractor list. A realtor can never have enough good trade people on their list. read more

Epic! A real life saver. Andy was our tech, very professional and punctual. If anyone has anything they need done you need to call them.

Called Kiddco yesterday because I needed both toilets in my apartment fixed ASAP. Jesse arrived bright and early this morning, got everything fixed in a timely fashion and was very personable. The last company I called gave me a song and dance about "needing to get parts" and their quote on the same fix came in about twenty dollars higher. Turns out this was an easy fix and Jesse made it happen without having to reschedule. Appreciate it! read more

Corey from Kiddco came out today and did an awesome job diagnosing my 'pulsating water' noise problem. I was told it was probably the pressure reducing valve (PRV) causing this problem, but needed an expert to provide insight. Corey did just as he did, not only did he confirm the PRV needed to be replaced, but he also added the fact that I needed to add a water expansion tank, which was something I was already thinking to have installed. Corey was honest, provided a breakdown of the costs and answered all my questions with detail. Thank you Kiddco! You've made this customer happy! read more

I am very pleased with Kiddco's service. They were the ONLY company that actually answered their phone/returned my call promptly for an after hours weekend emergency plumbing situation and they came out to resolve our problem in the middle of the night. There are many companies that advertise 24/7 service but this was the only company that was truly available and willing to help. Kiddco's on call service provider was courteous and efficient in helping us...highly recommended!! read more

Opened the outside lines for the first time and water came out of my ceiling through a light fixture. At the same time I was trying to resolve why my son's Shower never had any water pressure. Called Kiddco and they explained I"m ok as long as the outside lines were kept closed and also suggested a couple things I could try to see if anything was blocking water flow in the shower. Very nice, I've never been given that kind of help. I ended up calling them anyway since the shower cartridge was too wedged to try their suggestions and I wanted to start planting and watering outside. It was still good to know I could have postponed if I had to. I had to be somewhere in the later part of the day and they fit me in. Andy came right on time, and got right to work. He explained everything in terms I could understand which is great. Not condescending, just mater of fact. I don't need a chatty plumber, I just need one that explains himself well, get's the work done fast and correct the 1st time and keeps the cost down in doing so. Andy was just that guy. Plumbers aren't cheap but the price was reasonable with no surprises. I'll call them again. read more

I cannot recommend this company. The time window of 3 hours came and went with no call, no email, no plumber. I went back to work but did receive a call 50 minutes after the time window to see if anyone was there for the work to be done. Given the lack of regard for the customer's time I would not be able to recommend this company. read more

Not great...never showed up during the 5 hour window of time they gave us. We called and confirmed in the morning and they still never arrived. Can't say I would recommend this company to a friend or family member read more

Kiddco has given me excellent service and I cannot recommend them enough! I had a persistent problem with sewage backup in the downdrain in my basement, and they came three different times to ensure that the problem was completely taken care of. The source of the problem was that there were over a dozen broken pieces of coil from a previous owners' botched plumbing efforts. I had a sewage backup on Christmas Eve night (!) and Kiddco sent a plumber who arrived within 30 minutes and worked on the problem until 2:00am Christmas Day. It required two additional visits to clear out all the problem. I met 4 different Kiddco plumber and they were all extremely professional, tidy and knowledeable. Every time I called their office they knew exactly my situation and who had been over there and what the next step was. I am recommending them to all my friends and family in Fairfax area. read more

I was referred to kiddco. Corey was on time, knowledgeable and efficient. Fair pricing. Highly recommend. I will be using Kiddco again.

Unethical company with shady billing practices..................... Quoting another reviewer because this also happened to me...... Leak at our condo and tenants called my husband. He went over around 3 pm and fixed the leak. Then at 4:30 a plumber called him and was at our unit. Husband told him he had already fixed the leak and all was fine. The plumber agreed that the leak was fixed and all was fine. Today we received a bill for $330 dollars! The bill states that "the leak had been taken care of and no more leak" The time on the bill was 3:15-5:15pm with overtime.....?????? Couldn't be because husband was there at 3 the plumber called him at 4:30. He certainly wasn't there when husband was and wondering why it takes 2 hours to say "Yes, the leak is fixed" And he didn't even do any work because it was already fixed. Just so everyone knows my husband tried to call the company and they said "take it up with your condo management" and hung up on him read more

Bobby arrived within the designated appointment window, and was courteous and professional from the outset. The initial job (line check and faucet installation) turned into a much bigger ordeal after one of the sink angle stop valves failed during testing. Bobby kept his cool and got the situation under control; the outcome could have been much worse (significant flooding) with a less experienced plumber. Bobby worked steadily and methodically to resolve all of the new and outstanding issues, and walked me through each repair. At the end of the repair/installation, Bobby made sure I was satisfied with the work before packing up his gear and heading out. I thought the final price was fair given the scope and quality of services performed. I have confidence that Kiddco will stand behind their work, and I appreciated the company sending out a plumber that was already familiar with my condo building. read more
