I've been Peter's client for over a year for pedicures every three to four weeks. I tip him $20 each time. He told me to text him with apt. changes. I did, last week, texted to cancel. He read the message (I have a screen shot) but chose to not respond. He texted me to let me know I missed my apt. time. He scolded me and let me know how important my time must be. He failed to respond when I presented him the text showing he was aware I canceled. He must have grown tired of the awesome tips and regular appointments. He is rude and is a sloppy polisher. I hope the salon reaches out to me so I can provide his nasty message. I will not be back. He needs to find a profession that makes him happy. read more

After going to the same nail salon for 17 years, I tried mega nail salon. I have to say it was a wonderful experience. I was greeted warmly and courteously by Jennifer. I set an appointment for 4 o'clock. I showed up at 4 o'clock. They were on time. John did a great job on my nails a very relaxing calming environment. Thank you! read more

Got such a great pedicure and despite there being a slight language barrier between me and my nail lady, she did everything I asked for. I had a cut on my big toe so I asked if she could avoid the area as best as she could. She was so gentle I forgot I even had a cut by the end of my pedicure. read more

It is disappointing that I need to leave this review, being a loyal customer of Mega Nails for over 3 years. I am a full time resident of Rancho Mirage, and have consistently gone to Mega nails at least once a month for a manicure and pedicure. I am an older gentleman, needing a professional to cut my toes and take care of my feet. Upon waking in, the owner, Jennifer, informed me that my requested person was not available, so she would cut my nails, and have "the guy" take over. After she did cut my nails on my hands and feet, this young man, who I have never seen before in the past 3 years, sat down in front of me and proceeded to cut my nails- I told him that Jennifer just cut my nails, there were literally no nails to cut, and he just giggled and dropped several instruments. He then began to remove the dry skin from the heels of my feet; rather than using the usual foot brush, he pulled out a foot file- similar to a cheese grater, and used on my heels. He then took the serrated instrument and began to slice the side of my left foot!!!!! Back and forth and back and forth directly on the side of my foot!!!! Blood started to ooze from the side of my foot, and would not stop! I waved to Jennifer to come over; she applied several compresses to stop the blood and placed several bandages on the severe laceration, but it continued bleeding through the bandages. This is a severe cut and laceration! The "guy" as she referred to him, continued to massage my legs as blood dripped into the bucket of water- I demanded that he stopped! I then very angrily, and in significant amount of pain limped out of the place! Please read carefully: for current customers, be very very cautious about a new person who you don't know work on your hands and feet. I have several neighbors that go to Mega nails, and made sure they are all aware of the situation. For new customers: go elsewhere!!!! Stay far far away from Mega Nails.The "guy" sliced my foot so badly- it is not healing, and I am going to go to Urgent Care for a Doctor to look at. I will post a follow up after the Doctor looks at my foot. You should be ashamed Mega Nails! I will post another follow up after I see the Doctor. read more

I've been going for awhile . I have not loved my nails but they were ok. It's convenient However recently I took my mom and the girl doing her pedicure cut her big toe. My 87 yr old mom when we left said the girl hurt her. She didn't know her toe was cut til the next morning. She was already ba l in la do she sent me a pic. I stopped into the salon in my way home and showed the owner. She felt very bad and immediately offered to refund my mom. I didn't need to know who did it but she promised me she'd take care of it. So I'd just say if you go and you have sensitive feet tell your person. Not sure I'm going back. But I've been happy there for 3 years. My mom will never go back. read more

Appointments made for 3 of us to have manicures and pedicures. When we arrived, they were ready and set up for us ... really how often does that happen?! All of the employees were beyond courteous and friendly. It is extremely frustrating when they don't engage with you at all, all the while talking Vietnamese amongst themselves. I really contemplated this review since the ladies who did my manicure and pedicure were so nice. My dip manicure was so awful I had to share. There was so much residue that even after putting on the lotion, which is normally the last step, she had to go back in with 2 files and one time with the mechanic one. After I left I noticed my pedicure was dented. Now i realize it's my old nail polish that was not removed. I was so focused on my nails I had no idea it happened. I'm always super cheap and always get the standard pedicure but I had a stressful day and decided to splurge on the sea spa one. The towels were old and stained they used to put on my legs. I just thought the girl was really fast. Really disappointed and wouldn't want anyone to spend $88 plus tip on this. read more

Going to a new nail place is like going on a blind date. You hope it's going to be great but you really don't know yet because there isn't a lot of information yet. Mega Nails is centrally located. It's easy to park and the hours are generous. On vacation i had to have a gel removed and get a manicure before going home. This place is very clean and cheerful. The owner is kind and efficient and best of all the work I received was impeccable. Seems like they have hundreds of nail colors as well. I will return the next time I'm in the desert! read more

I originally gave them 4 stars but an changing it to 1 because.... Original review: I stopped here on the way for a vacation weekend. They told me out would be a 10 min wait, but it was 25. They only had one person work on my Mani pedi so it took a while (over an hour). I thought they did a pretty good job, but less than 2 days later most of my nails were chipped! However, they get 4 stars because I went back and they immediately took me in (even though they had other clients) and repainted my nails free of charge. The salonist even refused my tip and was super apologetic that I had to waste my time coming back just because someone there did a poor paint job. Update: 24 hrs later my nails have started chipping again! This has never happened at other nail places... read more

The salon is close to our Rancho Mirage house so I thought I'd try it ... even though I saw some negative Yelp reviews. I haven't had my nails done since the start of the pandemic, so I had layers of polish I'd applied (messy) and uneven nails. Everything is perfect now. I don't know what the negative Yelpers were talking about. One complained they don't line the pedicure bowls but they sure do. Jennifer, John, and the others were very friendly as I walked in. Cindy was very sweet and was neat and careful. My pedi/mani were great. She checked with me before painting my fingernails to confirm exactly what I wanted. The price is good and my nails are just as I requested. This will be my Southern California go-to nail salon. BTW - Another Yelper complained about there not being somewhere for their disabled father to sit, but two disabled women came in while I was there - one on a walker, one in a wheel chair - and the staff was very attentive and supporting of them. read more

Worst nail service I have ever been to not to even mention work is sooooo bad. Manger started to do my nails and did not finish. Refused to finish because I asked her to fix bobbled nails and uneven workmanship. She said: I AG GEOWING INPATIENT AND XANT DO THIS. I don't get it. For just nails they charge over $30 and they refuse to finish my nail because I said it's not that great and was honest about it. Horrible and unfriendly salon...no place for my disabled Dad to sit. I made an appointment for myself, Dad and Mom weeks in advance with Jennifer and was assured of our time line, we ended up waiting 17 minutes before being seated for services and then waited another 14 mins for available techs. The worst services ever! We all had basic manis and pedis...my tech did not even remove the nail polish I had on two of my fingers before doing my mani. And the tech that did my Dad clipped part of the skin on his finger and he hollered out in pain...no I am so sorry, are you okay? The worst was my tech he was going to use utensils she had just used on the previous client and I objected! Then she tried to use the same nail file on me as the previous client...they do not follow safe and clean protocol, nor do they follow safe covide protocol. We could not get out of there fast enough!! The ambiance is missing both calming music and a welcoming atmosphere. I live in RM and will NEVER return to this salon and I will spread the word. read more

Wow, sorry to hear the other yelper had a problem...not me, I have had Nikki do my waxing and tinting of my eyebrows and she was great... I get my nails done there too, both the pedicures and the gel fills are good work... I find the place clean and well lit...not too much noise, something I am kind of fussy about...and the pedi chairs are comfortable and on the newer side...they have lots of different products and I have seen them do cute custom design on nails. I recommend the place...they almost always have a walk-in appointment available. I like that .. read more

Came in for a walk-in while on vacation. The staff was friendly and the prices seemed about mid-range. The spa chairs were okay. My nail tech did a better job on my gel nails than on my pedicure. After looking more closely at my pedicure, I noticed that both big toes were a little splotchy/spotty (the 2nd coat didn't seem very even). She also wasn't as gentle as I would have liked on cleaning the nails; I wasn't cut or anything, but I also wasn't super relaxed when she was cleaning/cutting my nails. The tools also didn't seem all that sanitary. I've been to other salons where they open a fresh set of tools for each customer, but here they just rinsed off the tools and put them back in the drawer. I'm not sure how I feel about that. i have been going to mega nails for at least two years. i was always very happy with their service. i had an appointment for a pedicure and fill for my acrylic nails, recently. i requested the most expensive pedicure $43.00. some how it was lacking the full service, which i did not realize until later, when i noticed a woman getting her pedicure with the soaking bags for the feet, (which i did not get). next was my fill for acrylic nails. jennifer (manager) always does my fill. she did not put on the top coating on two fingernails, which i did not notice until i got home, bad me. i gave her my credit card, when she returned with the bill, it was $113.00. i said what is this? she then wrote on a paper $43.00 plus $45.00, total $88.00. she refunded me $30.00 cash. just because i am 93 years old, slow walking, hard of hearing, my brain is still working. i am so disappointed in jennifer for trying to take advantage of me. not good. so, i will not go back to mega salon ever again. helen read more
