Meet Fresh is a Taiwanese dessert shop specializing in traditional Chinese-style sweet dessert soups--comforting bowls built around ingredients such as red beans, sago, grass jelly, purple rice, tofu pudding, and almond. These desserts are common across Taiwan and much of East Asia, where sweet soups serve the role that cakes or pastries might in the West: a warm or cooling treat at the end of a meal or as an afternoon snack. The brand itself originated in Taichung, Taiwan, where it began as a small family shop inspired by traditional dessert recipes passed down through generations. Today Meet Fresh has expanded internationally, but the menu remains rooted in those classic Taiwanese dessert traditions. The menu includes hot and cold dessert soups, along with bubble teas, specialty drinks, ice creams, shaved ice desserts, and egg waffles--served plain or with a variety of fillings. I stopped in for a bowl of their Combo A hot red bean soup, topped with taro balls, fragrant red beans, crunchy peanuts, and soft, chewy boba. I also ordered a hot almond milk. For those unfamiliar with it, red bean soup is one of the classic desserts of Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine. Made from adzuki beans simmered until soft, it has a naturally earthy sweetness that is comforting without being overly sugary. It's often served hot in cooler weather and chilled in summer. The bowl here was generous and piping hot, exactly what you want from a dessert soup. The sweetness was well balanced--sweet, but not cloying--and the toppings added layers of texture that kept each spoonful interesting. The taro balls are another Taiwanese specialty: chewy dumplings made from taro and sweet potato starch with a texture somewhere between mochi and gnocchi. These were nicely elastic and pleasantly chewy. The peanuts added crunch, while the boba pearls brought their familiar soft chew, making the bowl a fun mix of textures. The hot almond milk was fragrant and soothing. In Chinese dessert culture this type of almond drink is often made from apricot kernels (sometimes called "Chinese almonds"), which gives it a slightly different aroma than Western almond milk. This one was very tasty, though it leaned a bit sweeter than I personally prefer. Service was pleasant and efficient, and the shop has ample seating, making it easy to sit and enjoy your dessert rather than rushing out the door. For anyone curious about Taiwanese desserts--or simply looking for something beyond cakes and pastries--Meet Fresh offers a comforting introduction to a whole world of sweet soups, chewy toppings, and traditional dessert flavors. I would happily return to explore more of the menu.
Meet Fresh is an international chain serving up Taiwanese desserts- shaved iced and grass jelly desserts along with milk tea and waffle creations. I'd recommend creating a custom dessert for what I felt like is better value, and coming at an off-hour due to the difficulty of finding parking in the plaza. --- Meet Fresh has a wide variety of desserts available: -Pudding & Q Mochi Milk Shaved Ice (L)- I shared it between 4 people, and while it was a good size and I enjoyed the toppings, personally it felt too expensive for the amount of ice! I would be on the fence reordering this. -Signature Grass Jelly (hot)- This came with a side of peanuts. For the relatively expensive signature grass jelly dish, I was a bit disappointed at the ratio of grass jelly to toppings. I would pass next time. -Custom icy grass jelly with 5 toppings [sesame rice balls, taro ball, ice cream, sago, and Q mochi (taro mochi)]- This came with a side of creamer. I really enjoyed both the flavor and toppings in the custom icy grass jelly!! The ratio of toppings was better for sure, but it is a more expensive option. I'd probably still go for this option next time. The restaurant is more or less self-service. It is self-seating. You first order at the kiosk or counter, and then retrieve your order once your number is called. Later, you take your tray and clean up yourself. The interior can seat fairly large groups, maybe 20-40 people total depending on how you sit. One of the biggest obstacles to enjoying Meet Fresh is finding parking in the hectic and overcrowded parking lot. I'd find it hard to justify fighting to find parking for Meet Fresh until I had something else to also do in the plaza. Overall, our group had pretty mixed ratings, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd recommend coming when you're willing to splurge on a custom dessert creation.
Great spot for Taiwanese desserts. I especially love the red bean soups and the mochi. There's plenty of seating inside, and a kiosk to order from. A rewards program is also available for frequent flyers. This is located in the Festival plaza, so parking can get pretty dicey on the weekends and some weekday evenings. Once you've secured a spot however, there is lots of seating indoors to hang around and relax.
We were getting dinner near by and I decided to get some tea from Meet Fresh. It's a popular restaurant for afternoon sweets, shaved ice and bubble tea. Vibrant colors and people inside the store. People chatting and hanging out having good times. I love the black tea. Strong tea flavor, no water down. Took about 10-15mins to get it because of high volume.
Great place for Asian style desserts. They have shaved ice, egg waffles, bubble tea and hot and cold dessert soups. We decided to share a cold one on a hot summer day after lunch. Chose the ice grass jelly signature dessert. It came with taro mochi balls, chunks of grass jelly and ice in a brown sugar cold soup. We had almond tofu added to customize. The taro balls had similar chewiness with sago/boba. The grass jelly tasted real brewed (not from a can). The soup was not too sweet, had just the right amount of brown sugar taste. The almond tofu was mixed in and just as refreshing as the rest of the ingredients. Also shared an iced lemon black tea. It had a citrusy slightly sweet tang, which offset the slight bitterness of real tea. It was the prefect complement to the grass jelly dessert.
I love a different and new experience! When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked in and was greeted. They had so many dessert and treat options and Chloe helped me and she was nice. I went with the: - Mango & Passion Fruit Green tea - Chocolate deluxe egg waffle - Boba tofu pudding - Black sugar Boba milky shaved ice I really enjoyed the Chocolate deluxe Egg waffle. The waffle didn't get super hard like I have experienced before. Everything was very good and I had a good experience!
I have been a fan of Meet Fresh since they came to Edison! They offer a wide variety of delicious treats from icy taro ball or icy grass jelly, shaved ice with fruit or mochi and so many tasty drinks! I would strongly recommend you give them a try and it's a good idea to sign up for their rewards because I'm sure you will come back to visit them again! They usually have monthly discount specials and if you get the app you can order your items in advance to reduce waiting.
Love the Chinese desserts at Meet Fresh. First time visit this location. I came around the time of opening on a weekend and it was pretty empty. We had the plan pretty much to ourself and it was really comfortable. I ordered at the kiosk and it took around 5 minuets to have our order ready. We dinned in and the portions are pretty generous. I always go for the Icy Grass Jelly Signature, it's my favorite and was good as it always is. If you frequent Meet Fresh like I do, they have a loyalty program where you can earn points to redeem for discount.
Came back to this Meet fresh after a long time. Menu is pretty much still the same. Got my favorite mango shaved ice. Delicious soft sweet mango on top of tasty shaved ice and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Just soul touching. Also got a mango passion fruit tea to go. Refreshing drink. Got to the egg waffle too. Soft and fluffy, really tasty waffles. Love coming to this store. The store not so busy. Most of the tables were empty and clean. Lots of staff were working in the kitchen. Dishes were made and served within 15 minutes.
These bowls are massive!! I would have only ordered one if I knew how big they are. They really need to offer smaller sizes as the price is quite hefty too. We ordered the shaved ice with taro ball and this soft tofu dish. The ice wasn't all that smooth and was a tad too icy (if that even makes sense). The huge scoop of taro on top was quite bland. I felt like the mushed up the taro with no sugar or anything and plopped it on top. The soft tofu with bubbles were ok. Flavoring was good, but some part of the tofu wasn't smooth. Bubbles were cooked nicely though. Space is large, but tables were dirty and sticky. I don't think I will be back
Who doesn't like a refreshing Taiwanese dessert spot? Meet Fresh makes some of the best boba in the area, especially on its delicery of consistency. On this trip, we got a large-sized Shaved Ice with the Q Mochi and Pudding to share amongst 3 people (and we honestly could have ordered the medium-sized since we were STUFFED). They seem to be trying to go for a more grandiose plating method, since the shaved ice was definitely piled up highhhhh on the platter. The ice was a good consistency of of milky and icey, with 1/3 sweetness perfect for us so we aren't drinking ice cream soup by the end. We tried their new potaro balls and sesame balls. With only 2 sesame balls for $1.25, we would definitely recommend getting the potaro balls instead of you want some peanut or sesame stuffed mochi balls. Nice and chewy as always! If you use the Meet Fresh membership app, you could also get a discount for getting the 1/3 sweetness option. I can't say I don't notice the quality slipping since they opened years ago, so we have to go with the 4-stars. The tables don't seem to get wiped down anymore between customers, -or at least significantly less often- so you live with the russian roulette of possibly picking a sticky table. But compared to other dessert places around, they definitely have more seating.
Located in the hmart shopping complex, this Taiwanese dessert place is a must try. It's been here a while and we only recently decided to try this place. I ordered the hot almond dessert which had small boba and tapioca chunks. If you are allergic to peanuts, this is not the dessert for you. It was a bit sweet for my liking and not as creamy as i thought it would be. It is refreshing, though, and quite filling. I wasn't able to finish it and brought it home for another day. My husband ordered the grass jelly dessert with ube and taro paste and tapioca chunks. It also came with a little container of creamer, which you added and then mixed in. I think I liked his better than mine, but his was even more filling and quite heavy for a dessert. The wait was only about 10 minutes. There are 2 big screens for you to conveniently order from. You would just enter your cell phone number and they would text you when your order was ready. It does tend to get crowded and the wait time could be 20-30 minutes so I would recommend going on an off hour.
My brother wanted to give this new dessert place a try since he heard that it was good. I am giving this place less stars because of the customer service. I called in to place my order for 5 different items and they told me it would be 15 minutes. I waited in line since there didn't seem like there was a place for phone order pick ups. By the time I got to the cashier the person in blue in my pictures let some Asian guy that he knew cut me just because he called in the phone order. I was a bit annoyed that he favored someone else over my phone order. Icy Grass Jelly Signature: This item had no taste at all and was very bland. I have had grass jelly from bubble tea shops that had more taste. Taro Ball # 3: This item had way too much liquid and was way too sweet that we could not even eat it. Maybe the red beans made this item way too sweet. Grass Jelly #4: This was very disappointing and could have been way better. Grass jelly was very bland and the red beans and taro did not give this item a better taste. Red Bean Milk Shaved Ice: This had no taste at all and the red beans did not taste good at all. Overall: This place needs to work on their customer service instead of favoring people that they know. They should also work on their items because some are too sweet and some have no taste at all. One of my favorite dessert places to visit in the HMart Plaza! Boba is always on point and their drinks are soo good. I ordered the milk tea with grass jelly and the milk tea was so smooth. I also ordered the Q Mochi Bites which are amazing! There's two different types of mochi that have a sweet drizzle and sprinkled with shaved coconut flakes. It was honestly amazing and I absolutely loved this more than I thought. I also love how Meet Fresh has kiosks where you can order if you're paying by card. My introverted self thanks Meet Fresh for this :) Finally service is pretty fast. They had a sign that orders may take up to 15 minutes to be ready, but mine was done in 5. Meet Fresh is one of those places you have to keep constantly going to because their menu is extensive! read more
I was feeling some milk tea and there are three stores right next to each other to compete for mah money. Meet Fresh was my choice and I'm so glad I picked it. So far, this is 5 for me. 1. Perfect customer service yay! Nice friendly and knowledgeable about her products 2. Sturdy and pretty cup 3. The drink is very pretty 4. The flavor is good. Not too sweet 5. Yelp check-in gets you a mochi Honestly I haven't try the mochi since I'm so full but it looks yummy and with those 5 points above, definitely a 5 and a definitely will return soon. read more

I've been here twice since it's opening, and both times I've enjoyed what I ordered. The first time, I got the Winter Melon Tea w/ Lemon. The drink itself was pretty large for it's price and wasn't overtly sweet. (You couldn't reduce the sugar unfortunately) Definitely a solid choice for a summer drink! The second time, I got a Matcha Egg Waffle. It took a little bit to prepare, but I didn't really mind as it was fresh and warm when I ended up getting it. When it's warmer weather, I'll probably try it with ice cream. It's nice to see a Taiwanese dessert shop open up so close to where I live. This is definitely a go-to place for me after eating a meal around the area! read more

I saw that there was a new dessert place that opened up near H-Mart, so I decided to come and check it out! Meet Fresh is in the same plaza as H-Mart and right next to Mango Mango. It features Taiwanese desserts which I thought was really cool because you don't really see a lot of that around here. The staff members are super friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. They also practice social distancing, so after you order and pay for the food, they give you a beeper which alerts you when your food is ready. So you can wait outside while the food is getting prepared. There are also hand sanitizers available when you enter. I ordered the Icy Taro Ball Signature and Milk Tea with Pudding. I personally was not a fan of the taro paste in the Taro Ball Signature. Even when I ate everything together, the dessert tasted bland and too thick. The dessert isn't very sweet, and the sweetest part of the dessert was probably the boba. For someone with a sweet tooth, I probably would not order this again. The Milk Tea with Pudding was very good, and it was your typical milk tea with pudding as the topping. You can adjust the ice and sugar levels of the drink. When I looked at the pudding, I realized it was an entire caramelized flan pudding inside my drink. I thought that was interesting since I have never seen that before. I'll most likely order the drink again. Overall, I thought the dessert place was okay since I never really had this type of Taiwanese dessert before. I probably won't order the Taro Ball Signature again, but I want to try out other menu items that they have! read more

My friends and I came for a light dessert to end the night. The place was pretty simple and clean. The staff were efficient. You order from a screen. We got the MangoBerry Shaved ice. It was ok. The syrup was pretty light and only coated the outside of the shaved ice. The inside was pretty much just ice. The chocolate egg waffle was good but the ice cream was just pretty basic. All in all, I probably won't go back since there's a mango mango in the same plaza and other better dessert cafe's in Edison. read more

I was in the area and just happened to pass by to see that this place was finally open. Felt super lucky because turns out the place had just had a soft opening the day before! I went 45 minutes before closing time and there was no line. They give you a beeper once you place your order so you can wait outside to better reinforce social distancing. I got the double taro signature (taro balls, taro paste, vanilla ice cream, grass jelly, grass jelly shaved ice) and it was sooo delicious. It was probably my favorite order I've had at Meet Fresh so far. The person working was also super nice and patient enough to give recommendations. They are only serving certain items right now since it's a soft opening (no hot soups when I went), but it seems like most signature items are there. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you ever have the chance! read more

I went for the first time yesterday with my friend. We got the hot almond soup with tofu pudding and the icy taro signature bowl. Both were incredible and the serving size was so generous! Tried Meet Fresh and opted for the hot grass jelly signature soup. It was a pleasant experience-- not overly sweet and perfect for a cold day. Ordering was efficient, and there was plenty of parking available. However, the tables weren't cleaned, so be prepared to do some self-cleaning before settling in. read more
The only thing I get from here is their herbal tea with milk and grass jelly since I've never had anything else that's good and I've always had issues with their desserts. First time I got their mango shaved ice. I think they should at least try their ingredients to see if it's at least edible before serving it. The mango were so sour that even my lemon loving daughter (the loves eating lemons) said the mangos were too sour and is not good). Second time I brought a family friend here and tried their ube and taro paste signature and everyone had diarrhea after consuming it. This most recent time, my friends said they wanted to try it (even though I really don't want to go), we ordered a chocolate chip bubble waffle, milk soft serve, matcha shaved ice, mango shaved ice, and brown sugar bubble milk tea with almond tofu. First off, I think you need to have a little common sense in any industry. When there is an order that will take some time to prepare and another order that can potentially melt, it's common sense to prepare the one that needs longer time to prepare first. I was told the bubble waffle will take about 10mins to prepare and we waited about 15mins for our order. By the time we got our order, the bubble waffle was cold and the matcha shaved ice turned into matcha water soup. I was shocked to see it and when my friend attempted to bring it back, the employee told her there's nothing she can do but offered to give her a small serving of shaved ice (just the ice)! So we ended up with a very watered down milk shake looking soup served in a bowl with a small hint of matcha (because it's diluted in water). Then we had to fish out the beans and jelly because it all sunk to the bottom. I seriously lost my appetite just by looking at it as it literally looked like barf. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen as it was not edible and definitely the worst costumer service ever. The chocolate chip bubble waffle was decent. Although it was cold, the top half of it was crisp on the outside and chewy inside. However, they should work on their packaging. The heat from the waffle made the bottom half soft and soggy. They should have holes in their cups or bags for ventilation to prevent it becoming soft. The brown sugar bubble milk tea with almond tofu was a disappointment as expected. The bubbles were over cooked, I didn't taste any tea but just sugar in milk, and a rough tofu without any almond taste. I had a couple sips and threw it away. So overall, this place is well below average. There are very limited things that's good and shaved ice is not one of them. Another thing to note is it's hard to share because they make you pay for extra cups. There's a lot of areas that needs improvement and customer service is definitely on the top of the list. Reply: To the business owner who replied, that matcha shaved ice or fluffy or whatever it is is definitely ALL WATER underneath. I've been to the manhattan and Hong Kong location so it's not like this is my first time having meet fresh. And why would you serve something that looks like that to begin with? The fact you still think serving something that looks like the picture below is acceptable is very mind blowing. Also, I was indeed referring to your almond pudding. Sorry for not getting the right name as I didn't cross reference to your menu. But u get the idea. I was looking for an almond taste and got nothing. Regardless of what the name is, my point to this review is they're not good and you have horrible customer service. read more

I've been looking forward to coming here for a while now. I was a big fan of the store in NYC and I'm glad to say this one in Edison did not disappoint!! Came here after having a meal in the Hmart plaza. You have to go inside to order but they give you a buzzer so you can take it and wait outside for your order (perfect during this pandemic!). Although there was a line, I did not have to wait long to get my order. I ended up getting the purple rice drink with fresh milk. Perfect choice because it was refreshing but not too sweet :) A great place to come for dessert after a satisfying meal! I can't wait to try more of their dishes in the future! read more

Atmosphere: The atmosphere is laid back and chill. There are seats for indoor dining that just opened up this week. They look comfy but we haven't dined in yet. There are "order here" and "pick up" signs that make it clear where to go to order and where to pick up the food. There are buzzers that beep when the food is ready for pick up. They are quite loud though. The space is roomy and seems like they can accommodate a good amount of people. Portion: I share the egg waffle with my husband and it's just enough to go around. I usually split the soup dessert into two and it's the perfect amount for two night's dessert. The toppings are enough for an even split too. Flavors: The egg waffles are delicious and legit. I grew up on these kinds of egg waffle street stands and love when they're made a bit more on the crunchy side and that's how they make it here. I'm a traditionalist and love the original flavor but venturing to the green tea flavor for the first time. The soup desserts are delicious and I love that I can "make my own" by adding all the toppings that I love. Always turns out great. read more

This location is clean and they provide wifi. They have a self-serve kiosk, or you can order with one of the staff at the cashier. Though it looked pretty busy inside, our order was ready quite quickly. We got the mangoberry milk shaved ice. We thought from pictures in a big poster out front that it was Taiwanese shaved ice 雪花冰, but it turned out to be the usual kind 剉冰/刨冰; they call it "milk shaved ice" and it's probably since they also add some condensed milk. It still tasted pretty good. There are some real mango pieces and strawberry fruit, in addition to strawberry jam and a scoop of ice cream on top. A note, though, that the shaved ice orders are packed in disposable containers, and their utensils are also plastic disposable, which as another reviewer mentioned unfortunately feels like a decent amount of waste overall. read more

We came here for dessert, and it was a nice refreshing end to lunch. I've had a couple things on their menu, but this time I chose to make my own. I got the ice taro ball base with lychee jelly and caramel pudding. I loved how jiggly the caramel was, and it was very creamy and smooth. I was also very pleased with the amount of lychee jelly that I got, and it was nice and cool on top of the ice. The taro and sweet potato balls were a good texture, but I always find it difficult to eat too many of them. They're too dense, and though they start off as my favorite part of the dessert, by the end, I don't feel finishing them. Overall, the dessert is not too sweet, and I think it'd be much better to split this with someone. read more
I love this place in Taiwan, and I love this place here! My girlfriend and I frequent Meet Fresh for their authentic grass jelly. In most boba shops, the grass jelly is just made with sugar, dye, and gelatin, but you can really taste the real herbal notes of the grass jelly here! I'm also a huge fan of the sweetened shaved ice and chewy soft taro/sweet potato balls on top. I've had their drinks a few times now and I definitely recommend trying one of the more unique drinks here with the Tati and sweet potato balls. There are plenty of seats here and it's typically kept pretty clean too. This location happens to be in one of the best plazas in Edison! read more

I will have to say I was definitely disappointed they didn't have a few of the things we wanted in the menu. My bubble waffle was over cooked and the dessert lacked any sort of flavors .Prices are a reasonable and portions are decent. There are only a few tables available for seating so don't expect to dine in . I personally prefer mango mango over this place because it has a more flavor that's for sure . read more

I really like that they are so well set up to promote social distancing. They also were behind a glass and had a microphone/speaker set up so you could hear them. They don't have many options for boba as compared to a boba drink place but I was really craving it so I got the fresh milk black tea with brown sugar boba. I wish I had gotten regular boba because comparatively, mine were very mushy and kind of dissolved in your mouth. I tried my boyfriend's boba though and his were fine. I also wish there were more drinks available for sugar customizations. 50% was a bit too sweet and 0% wasn't sweet enough. But only the fresh milk drinks can be completely customized, everything else was regular or half. read more

Fake ube. Do not call your ube drinks ube if it's not ube flavored. They're basically taro flavored, we bought both the ube smoothie and ube milk tea and they're basically purple colored taro. If you want real ube, check out shops such as Red Ribbon bakeshop and KULU deserts, or buy ube extract, or ask people familiar with ube. By selling taro drinks and falsely claiming it as ube is pretty disrespectful to customers. I'm all for improving the menu and including more flavors, but be honest and true to your products, lying won't get you anywhere. Disappointing. read more
Loving all the varieties provided by this Taiwanese dessert joint! You will probably be able to try different things based on your craving or taste every time. In a nutshell, if you like grass jelly, tofu pudding and taro balls, you are in it for a sweet treat. I do not believe you can change the sweetness level on most of the desserts here but they prepare them well overall without being too sweet. Their drinks can be similar to the bowls because of the same ingredients and they are good as well. If you don't have time to eat it with a spoon and just want to slurp on something, their drink menu is a great choice. My preferred categories are grass jelly (cold) and tofu pudding (hot). You really can't go wrong with any toppings but you should definitely get the sweet potato taro balls, mini taro balls, taro, and almond pudding. Whatever the combos you pick, you will eventually find the best combo that will get you back here in the future! read more

The Edison Meet Fresh is in a very convenient location - it's a plaza with H-Mart, Paris Baguette, Happy Lamb Hotpot, Mango Mango, and Kung Fu Tea. Who doesn't like to get desserts when doing grocery run, right? This location has plenty of seatings, depend on time of the day, it could be packed with people sometimes. But it's never a long wait to get your order. Our go-to is the Icy Grass Jelly Signature. The grass jelly at Meet Fresh is very authentic (great texture, with a light herbal note to the jelly). I find that some places will serve grass jelly that have overly gelatin-y texture. Meet fresh is also known for their taro balls and sweet potato balls, hence we always order the Signature (which comes with taro balls and sweet potato balls!) On the days I want a drink, I will usually order Mini Taro Ball Milk Tea. It's a great drink to get if you are craving the chewy taro balls and want a milk tea based drink to go. Their Icy Grass Jelly Signature is their most popular at this newest and hottest dessert spot. I've gotten it three times already. It is a shaved ice with taro balls. It comes with one complimentary creamer. I asked for 3 creamers and they were happy to give it to me. The shaved ice held up amazingly well on my 15 minute drive home, it did not melt. I'm in love with this dessert as their colorful taro mochi is made to perfection. I always feel guilty eating all that mochi. Will I turn all soft and squishy? I had to look it up. Taro mochi happens to have a handful of nutrients. - bone-strengthening calcium - lowers blood pressure - energizing Taro in particular has antioxidants, fiber and helps with body weight. It's better for you than most desserts, so chew away. As for the drinks here...I think I gave it a fair chance by ordering it at 3 separate occasions. I am not a fan. It's not as pictured and the ones I've gotten are either too watered down, too overly sweet or not made well. Example: I ordered the Purple Rice Drink with Milk Tea. They put so much purple rice in that I couldn't even drink the milk tea. Next up: I plan to try one of their hot almond soups. read more

i love meet fresh! i already came here twice this week. I love their entire menu. i usually get the ice herbal jelly bowls or their herbal drinks. i recently tried their ice cream and it taste very similar to McDonalds soft serve but the more i eat it the more i can taste the difference in quality, its alot creamier! I was just a little disappointed with a hole in the middle, for the price i think they should of filled it more. everything at meet fresh is a little pricey but totally worth. There is usually a little of a wait but they are very fast. read more

The desserts here never disappoint - always made fresh and taro balls have a nice chewy texture and perfect amount of sweetness. My go to is always the Icy Grass Jelly Signature which comes with taro balls, grass jelly, and grass jelly shaved ice. It also comes with the coffee creamer to add on top (which is optional). I definitely recommend adding it on top as it adds a different creamy taste to each bite. And the the portion size is always generous at the Edison location compared to the NYC and Brooklyn locations. read more

I reallyy wanted to try this place for the longest time because I heard good reviews from my friends. So glad I was finally able to go and try some! I ordered the hot boba tofu pudding and the signature hot purple rice soup. I really liked the tofu pudding!! I thought it would be really sweet but the sugar level was justt right! I also love boba so it was even more delicious I haven't had tofu pudding in a long time since I couldn't find a place that makes it; so glad that this place makes delicious ones!! I first had Meet Fresh in NYC a few years back and I was so excited when Meet Fresh is now opened in Edison. So much closer to me and I go can go all the time! I got my favorite the icy grass jelly signature. It comes with a creamer on the side. I love the taro balls. It's chewy, soft, and delicious. The dish is amazing as a snack and great for the summer weather. I also got the tofu pudding with sweet potato balls. Very good as well. The tofu was soft and the potato balls were chewy. I also got a green tea drink and the mochi and caramel pudding. The drink and the mochi were ok. They are not my favorite. Probably won't get them again. Will try something else. I can't wait for the hot dishes that will be available in the winter season. Can't wait to try all the new items on the menu. read more

Came here after shopping at Hmart on a Sunday and discovered that they were having a soft opening. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed their shaved ice when we were in Taiwan so we decided to wait on the long line. We started waiting at 4:30pm. When we made it inside it, there were indicators on the floor for social distancing. After you place order, you will have to wait outside. Since it was a soft opening, there were some items that weren't available. We ended up getting 2 drinks (herbal tea with taro balls and winter melon tea with lemon and grass jelly) I wanted to get the icy grass jelly but it was 4:50pm when it was our turn and I didn't want to wait in the heat any longer also we had frozen groceries in the car. 15 mins later we got our order and we really enjoyed it!! Very refreshing for the hot weather! I would definitely come back if I'm in NJ (since the other Meet Fresh is in Manhattan and I haven't went into the city since the lockdown) and hopefully there wouldn't be a long wait Total time we spend there was 45 mins. read more

So I've had Meet Fresh in New York City before so when I found out that they were making one in Edison I was so excited because I love these Taiwanese ice desserts but it's really hard to find a place that does them well. My go to order has grass jelly, the taro balls, these jelly grass noodles and Boba pearls. I hadn't had the jelly grass noodles but they have a wonderful refreshing and sweet flavor! I definitely will come back anytime I'm craving this dessert and try to avoid any weekend lines! read more

I love myself some Meet Fresh! It's one of my go-to Asian dessert places to go to in California, so I was pleasantly surprised to find one open here in NJ. I got so excited that I ordered some extra bowls to go for my mom and brother. If you order over $10 of other stuff, they also had a soft serve deal for $2 which I guess was a deal only at the Edison branch. We ended up trying that :D Here's a review of everything I got: - Mini Q & Melon Jelly Soft Serve: I would definitely get this again! I liked that the mini Q taro and sweet potato balls were smaller. The soft serve itself was pretty yummy, perfect amount of creaminess. I'm generally not a huge fan of jelly so didn't think much of the melon Jelly. It also comes with two pirouline chocolate sticks! - Tofu Pudding with Peanuts (cold): pretty standard for tofu pudding, probably the best you can get around here. The ones I have in Taiwan are still slightly better though since the tofu is a bit more silky. - Red Bean Signature (hot): I normally wouldn't get this, but since my mom likes red bean I decided to get it for her. She liked it because it wasn't too sweet, and I thought it was pretty good too. I mostly liked the boba and the taro and sweet potato balls in it! read more
