I stopped by this Akihi after strolling through the Farmers market last friday. I have a weekly thing with Akihi but I usually go to the Metuchen branch. So when I went in, i was not used to a small space since the other branches have enough room to move around, thankfully it was not busy so it was alright. They had board and card games to offer which is a plus, and also an outdoor seating. I personally don't like strawberries so before ordering, I had asked the staff if they can substitute the strawberry popping boba to a mango popping boba -- since the Mango Slush came with it, they were very accommodating and gave me the mango popping boba without any additional charge. Overall, this branch I would say is best for pick up and go situation since it's a very intimate space. I don't know how weekends work in this location but I would definitely order ahead of time. I will be back soon. :)

Akihi is a new version of Kittea. Menu is expanded to include waffles and soft serve ice cream. I typically order a standard milk bubble tea. My children like the mango smoothie with strawberry popping boba. Overall, always a hit and my children and I love having another ice cream option in town. Service is fast. Small seating area but great outdoor space outside and across the street if you are looking to chill.

Taro slushy bubble tea and strawberry cheesecake "my crush" slushy

Got sushi from across the street and then picked up this bubble tea. Took it home and it survived in the fridge. The workers were listening to music and talking and just being normal human beings, it was a refreshing atmosphere and the bubble tea being a 10/10 only adds to it. Highland park is such a walkable friendly town this place is smack dab in the middle: heads up it's a busy town so it's always street parking unless you're lucky. I only wish we stayed and had it in the store rather than taking it home, I'm sure it would be much much more amazing.

The boba was so so good, probably the best i've ever had. Everyone finished their drinks !

Very convenient to the Canal Street train station for the J train I take. It's just across! Too bad…read morethis tea place got no seating so you got to take it to go. I saw some tote bags they got on sale but didn't bother because it was not my style and didn't think it was worth buying it. Very tight and cozy the place. Anyways, I needed a thirst quencher and I got the iced honey black milk tea in large with herbal jelly. It tasted really good with the honey. It was so addicting that I finished it really fast. The herbal jelly at the end when there was no more milk tea was very hard to finish. The straw was not very accommodating with the herbal jelly. I had to rip the top lid to pour all the herbal jelly into my mouth. This drink was not that heavy in ice so it was not water downed.

My bubble tea pursuit continues…read more I decided on the Peach Oolong tea $5.25 with my favorite default topping herbal jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 $0.75. The tea alone was refreshing, but with the add-on toppings of my favorite herbal jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 $0.75 was delicious chilled and fresh. I do have a predilection for fruit or Kung Fu Tea categorized it as "punch" teas. If any bubble tea business do not carry herbal jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 I would make my usual fast exit. Kung Fu Tea's customer service is attentive and very prompt from order placement, payment, and fulfillment. I did not wait long for my drink. This peach Oolong tea contain actual fruit peach cut pieces, but was fresh. The plastic cup appears a current promotion of the cartoon character Strawberry Shortcake. I would surely return for trying the remaining selection of their punch (aka fruit) teas. This Kung Fu Tea location sits on the peripheral areas of Chinatown, Manhattan.
