There aren't a lot of Tous Les Jours in the region and I'm glad they have one right here in Hmart! For those unfamiliar, TLJ is more of a QSR or a casual cafe (most TLJ has seating, just not here) than a full-on bakery, so what you see is what you get (but fresher and way tastier than supermarket stuff), so if you want some crazy custom cake, then, this spot isn't it. If a cake design is in season, you can preorder to ensure they have a fresh one waiting for you on pickup day. They usually will write something on it if you ask and should give you a disposable cake cutter and candles if needed. Mostly, I come here for pastries, such as the milk bread and the cream puffs! I'm also a sucker for the buy 2 get 1 free deals they occasionally have and they make an easy breakfast the best day.

Tried Tous Les Jours for the first time today and they had some interesting baked goods I've never seen before. Kept it safe and ordered a bubble tea (mango flavored) with slushies. As well as a chocolate creme filled donut. I wish they packaged the order better as my donut was just thrown into a bag and the bubble tea was given without the Plastic covering. It was raining so some extra packaging would have been more convenient. They charge 10 cent for bags but I wasn't offered that option to purchase one. All in all it's conveniently located inside H mart along with other businesses / adjacent a food court.

Always have to come here when I'm in H Mart. Definitely the best bread in the area. The cakes are expensive but delicious. All the pastries are reasonably priced especially compared to Italian bakeries

Peach & Fresh Cream Cake hardly has any peach in it
Pamela L.

Remember that 80s commercial from Wendy's, "Where's the Beef". Tous Les Jour's slogan should be..."Where's the Peach?" Thirty f****** eight dollars for a Peach and Fresh Cream cake that barely has any peach in it. It doesn't cost much for a can of peach. As I am about to take my first bite, I can already tell that it's going to be a bit dry and I was right. If they put more peach in it maybe it would have moistened the cake. The good news...I usually get another birthday cake from my family. Anything would taste better than this one. I mean, just stick a damn birthday candle on a frickin Hostess's Pink Snowball and that would make me happy than eating another slice of this cake. Thirty f****** eight dollars. I think the baker assembling this cake ate all the peach. Pandemic or not...this is not how you cut corners.

I prefer Three Les Jours and Four Les Jours, but Five Les Jours is total crap so don't go there. This is a pretty typical and awesome Asian bakery located inside the massive International Grocery Store in Edison. The main problem is that it's really expensive, but some of their goods are pretty good - pardon the pun. Some of the stuff is pretty average, so you have to kind of know what you want to get. I'd avoid all the sponge cakes because they really don't do it for me.

A French inspired Asian bakery, cakes not too sweet and the pastries and cakes are generally good, though a lot of nuts. Chestnut cake here looks amazing, have to try one day. It is located in the Edison HMart close to the exit and you can also get drinks here. Prices are higher than some of the other bakeries I've been to.

This cafe is conveniently located inside the HMART supermarket. There aren't many pastries inside as there is in the Paris baguette cafe that is a couple stores down from here. I do however, really like getting their caramel macchiatos because it is perfectly balanced with the sweetness and bitterness of the drink. I did notice though that the way that it is made varies by location as Ive had quite a few bad drinks from locations in Brooklyn and then good drinks in Manhattan. I am glad that whenever I come to HMART, I can trust that they will make my drink the way I like it. I do wish that they had different sizes for drinks. The service is fast and the drinks are at a decent price. They sell cakes of all kinds of celebrations and bubble tea which I do not recall is sold at other locations. Stamp cards are given only for their bubble tea.

Curry croquette

Their milk cream buns never disappoint, though there was a fruit fly (?) in one of mine a few years back, beyond that no negative experiences. Got their curry croquette and would recommend that as well as the taro cream bread. Banana bread was good too but tasted more like butter than banana

Got the caramel mocha cake for New Year's -- the cake was deliciously moist and fluffy and the sweetness of the fillings and toppings were well balanced. The caramel icing is creamy and tastes slightly salted.

Cheesecake (Japanese style)

Was looking all over for a bakery that made this kind of Japanese style, sponge-like cheesecake for my dad's birthday and was excited to see Tous Les Jours had it! I couldn't find this anywhere else outside of NYC. The cake was great, not too sweet, and with a balanced consistency. Some people may prefer even lighter versions and others creamier. Either way our family enjoyed this.

I first fell in love with Tous Les Jours during a summer in South Korea; the Pure Milk Cream Bread had me at first bite. There were Tous Les Jours in the USA, but unfortunately none in the Bay Area where I live. Fortunately, this love story has a happy ending -- I discovered recently with great joy that there's a Tous Les Jours near my parent's house! The one true gem is the Pure Milk Bread. It's everything I want in a bun: soft, sweet bread filled with a good amount of light, and evenly distributed cream. The Pink Milk Bread puts a strawberry twist on this delightful bun. The Blueberry Cream Cheese Bread is another winner: a bit more rigid than the soft bun of the Milk Bread, but filled with some awesome blueberry cream cheese that has whole blueberries in it! I can't lie, I can't hide it, and I can't deny it... I love you, Tous Les Jours. Now please come to the Bay Area so I can have you ALL THE TIME!

That's when I stumbled across Hidden Grounds Coffee House... and let's just say, this place is not so "hidden" once you find it. I ordered the smoked salmon and cream cheese toast, and every single component was fresh, high quality, and dialed in. I added avocado (highly recommend), and it just took everything to the next level. Simple, clean, and absolutely delicious. Then came the honeybee latte, hot and wow. Whatever they're doing behind the scenes with this coffee, it works. Perfectly balanced, smooth, and honestly one of those drinks you think about later in the day. This is a non-negotiable order. And because discipline is overrated on a work trip, I added an almond croissant. I should've gotten two. It's filled with something magical, I'm not even going to pretend I know what it is, but it's rich, flaky, and completely worth it. If you're anywhere near Hidden Grounds, do yourself a favor and check it out. This place knows exactly what it's doing.

I remember they had a small room off to the right and there was really no one in that room, and then I realized it was an acai bar where you can get an acai bowl. In warmer weather, they have an acai bar, which is such a cool option to have inside a cafe. It is closed during cold months. My friends got desserts and coffee, and I got an acai bowl and some plain tea with almond milk. The acai bowl was not huge, but it was definitely very good and very filling. I loved the granola. I got acai, granola, fruit, and nut butter, and I really liked it a lot. I was full and happy because being vegan and gluten-free, there are not a lot of options for me later in the evening. While we were sitting and eating, we noticed there was a small prayer room in the back. We were curious, so we went in and took a look, and I thought it was really nice that they have that space as part of the cafe. It looked like there was a holy book, I believe the Quran, and there was a small, quiet area where someone can sit and pray. I thought that was such a unique and lovely touch to honor someone's religious convictions. Overall, I loved this place, and I plan to go back the next time I'm in New Brunswick.

The Pink Coconut ($7.50) was delicious and very refreshing, and honestly not a bad price at all for the location. The pistachio milk cake ($8) tasted like a pistachio version of tres leches, it wasn't my personal favorite, but still enjoyable. The pistachio ricotta cake ($8) was the standout for me; you could really taste the nuttiness and the ricotta, and it was beautifully done. We also had the baklava (2 for $5), which was reasonably priced and decent, though a bit harder than I prefer. Overall, this is a must-try spot with great drinks, lots of space, and solid desserts. My only small wish is that the food wasn't served in to-go containers, but I understand it since the setup seems more self-serve. Still very much worth a visit.
