There aren't a lot of Tous Les Jours in the region and I'm glad they have one right here in Hmart! For those unfamiliar, TLJ is more of a QSR or a casual cafe (most TLJ has seating, just not here) than a full-on bakery, so what you see is what you get (but fresher and way tastier than supermarket stuff), so if you want some crazy custom cake, then, this spot isn't it. If a cake design is in season, you can preorder to ensure they have a fresh one waiting for you on pickup day. They usually will write something on it if you ask and should give you a disposable cake cutter and candles if needed. Mostly, I come here for pastries, such as the milk bread and the cream puffs! I'm also a sucker for the buy 2 get 1 free deals they occasionally have and they make an easy breakfast the best day. read more

Tried Tous Les Jours for the first time today and they had some interesting baked goods I've never seen before. Kept it safe and ordered a bubble tea (mango flavored) with slushies. As well as a chocolate creme filled donut. I wish they packaged the order better as my donut was just thrown into a bag and the bubble tea was given without the Plastic covering. It was raining so some extra packaging would have been more convenient. They charge 10 cent for bags but I wasn't offered that option to purchase one. Thirty f****** eight dollars for a Peach and Fresh Cream cake that barely has any peach in it. It doesn't cost much for a can of peach. As I am about to take my first bite, I can already tell that it's going to be a bit dry and I was right. If they put more peach in it maybe it would have moistened the cake. The good news...I usually get another birthday cake from my family. Anything would taste better than this one. I prefer Three Les Jours and Four Les Jours, but Five Les Jours is total crap so don't go there. This is a pretty typical and awesome Asian bakery located inside the massive International Grocery Store in Edison. The main problem is that it's really expensive, but some of their goods are pretty good - pardon the pun. Some of the stuff is pretty average, so you have to kind of know what you want to get. I've been here a few times and it's always the same thing: products that seem hurriedly put together and staff that seem focused on getting you out the door when it's not even close to closing. The macarons are unevenly filled with barely any filling, the cakes look good, but are dry with barely any fruit, and I just got a piece of plastic in my croquette. This cafe is conveniently located inside the HMART supermarket. There aren't many pastries inside as there is in the Paris baguette cafe that is a couple stores down from here. I do however, really like getting their caramel macchiatos because it is perfectly balanced with the sweetness and bitterness of the drink. I did notice though that the way that it is made varies by location as Ive had quite a few bad drinks from locations in Brooklyn and then good drinks in Manhattan. I am glad that whenever I come to HMART, I can trust that they will make my drink the way I like it. I do wish that they had different sizes for drinks. The service is fast and the drinks are at a decent price. They sell cakes of all kinds of celebrations and bubble tea which I do not recall is sold at other locations. Good bakery that are usually close to or inside H Marts. This one is no exception. It is right inside of the H Mart to the right once you get inside. You can also hit on the way out as, that is where the exit path takes you to get out of the store. It is usually best to hit these places earlier as they fresh bake a lot of stuff which they won't refill later at night. They also have pre packaged stuff as well but I think the fresh stuff is better. The bread is good here as well. read more

Fortunately, this love story has a happy ending -- I discovered recently with great joy that there's a Tous Les Jours near my parent's house! The one true gem is the Pure Milk Bread. It's everything I want in a bun: soft, sweet bread filled with a good amount of light, and evenly distributed cream. The Pink Milk Bread puts a strawberry twist on this delightful bun. The Blueberry Cream Cheese Bread is another winner: a bit more rigid than the soft bun of the Milk Bread, but filled with some awesome blueberry cream cheese that has whole blueberries in it! A little bakery located inside Hmart, near the entrance. The items sold are mostly baked in premises. They have cakes, breads, macaroons, and pastries. For the most part the bakery items are delicious. Most pastries are french inspired with some having Asian twist. For example, red bean bread, green tea macaroons, Lotus seed and Chestnut breads. As for drinks, coffee and smoothies are ok. They also have shaved ice (asian type). Negative is there are no seating, where you need to go to hmart food court to enjoy your treat. From time to time, I like to grab a coffee and pastry after shopping in H Mart, but I usually like to sit down and enjoy my coffee and pastry, which this tou les Jours is lacking. Yes, I believe that you can sit in the food court in the front of H-Mart, but the ambiance is all right. I did think that their cream layer was too thick though, and I also prefer mine to be a little warmer. The ones I ate today were on the cold side. This is a friendly bakery inside H Mart. There is no seating, though I'm sure they would let you sit in the adjacent food court. They are called tous les jours, but since a loaf of bread with eight slices $5 to 5.75, it's really just a once in awhile. They don't have pull bread, but they have lots of other pastries, some neatly packaged. If you just want to pick some things up and Paris Baguette has a line, this is an option. read more

I'm a huge fan of H-Mart. I can spend a few hours in here. Tous Les Jours is located on the right side as you enter H-Mart. It's a delicious Japanese bakery with daily baked goodies. You can find everything from fresh bread to homemade cakes that look absolutely divine. They have recently added bubble tea to there menu. Yesterday, I ordered a strawberry bubble tea, but they had run out of tapioca balls =( The gentleman making my bubble tea quickly ran to me to give me the bad news. He suggested giving me a slush, which I agreed to getting. The strawberry slush was good and refreshing. Tous Les Jours also gives out a little trays with tongs for those who want to walk around the bakery and choose among the various pastries that are available. Even though it's just a tiny little section within H-mart, I actually really like what TLJ has to offer. I've only tried some of it's pastries and drinks, but I've thus far enjoyed everything I've ordered here. Their smoothies are delicious. I'm a diehard fruit smoothie fan, so I decided to get a strawberry smoothie to go with my meal at the food court. The smoothie was very rich--in that it didn't taste run down--and thick. It was sweet but not overly so, like American smoothies tend to be. I 100% recommend TLJ's smoothies over neighbor Paris Baguette's, which tend to be poor in taste and evidently made from juice and mix. TLJ also gives a decent amount more for about the same price. I've also tried TLJ's macarons multiple times. First off, it has a wide selection of flavors, including the classic flavors (like Rose and berry flavors) and more unique flavors (like Nutella). The macarons are surprisingly well made. They have delicate cookies and sweet, rich filling--the marks of a good quality macaron. Compared to PB's larger macarons, you don't get as much for the price, but if tastes much more like a genuine macaron that you may find in, say, a macaron parlor in the city. The bread all looks fresh and delicious as well. Once again comparing it to PB's, I think TLJ's bread is fresher and larger, and there's just as wide of a selection. The only downside is that the food here is quite pricey. The macarons are priced about the same as big name ones you can find in the city and the drinks/bread are all overpriced. This IS a Korean owned "French" bakery though, so I guess the prices aren't a huge surprise. I would recommend TLJ for an occasional treat, but if you're looking for more affordable bread, try Chinese supermarkets or bakeries. Their breads are a lot cheaper and, in my opinion, more authentically Asian and better tasting. read more

The first time I went here, it was because my roommate of the time was DYING for some Korean-French bakery goodies. So off we went. Since then, I've been back a couple of times - to buy said roommate a birthday cake and most recently, a few days ago, by myself, because I had a craving for a taro bun, which I found out, they don't have. However, I got myself a red bean bun, and it was DELICIOUS. I happily munched on it on my 1.5 hour drive to school. All the goodies I've ever tried from here have always been yummmyyyy. Of course, the prices are a little higher than what you would find in Chinatown's of Philly and NYC. But they're much more upscale than the mom & pop bakeries of Chinatown. And even then, you can't really complain about the prices. I can definitely live with $2 buns. Though the most recent time I was here, I wasn't a huge fan of the customer service. There was only one girl manning the register. The customer in front of me had ordered a couple of drinks. She had to make the drinks - which took a good 5 minutes - while I was just there, waiting to pay for one lousy bun. Meanwhile one worker was in the back, baking, and one was out arranging bread. Kinda annoying. Maybe they should get someone else to work on the drinks or the register, if it will be taking more than 5 minutes. read more

It's located inside H Mart so some people might miss, moreover, it has stiff competition thanks to Paris baguette but this store is better than Paris baguette. I tried their milk custard bun and a peanut creme crumble (aren't the exact names just descriptions) and both of them were amazing! Some of the best pastries I've ever tried. I always come here for a treat after eating in the food court but this time I got a whole cake for my birthday. The staff was helpful in picking one out for me and answered a few questions I had. They boxed it up nicely and even asked if I needed candles (I didn't tell them it was for a birthday). Very good service. Someone below said its bland but I don't think so. I like Japanese and Korean cakes and pastries because they're not as sweet as American style but this cake was actually sweeter then I expected. Wish I had a place like this near me. I learned that I really like their profiterole, otherwise known as a cream puff. I have had cream puffs before but the profiterole here is unbelievable, like I am eating eat for the first time... it is not like others I have eaten. I'll sometimes pick up bubble tea or macarons after grocery shopping since it's super convenient but it can get pretty busy at some hours and the atmosphere is sort of ruined by the noise coming from hmart itself.
