    Brownie Custom Ice Cream Sandwich

Great tasting ice cream. Lots of room for sitting. And nice lighting for conversation. Patricia and Melanie were great with service.

Went with a couple of tweens who were really excited about checking out TBB. We were able to make it there on a weekday evening about 10 pm. A little bit of wait and it was still very lively (they close at 12am). I understand this will always be the case because it is geared toward to college crowd, in the heart of NB. It is right across from Thomas Sweet ice cream, which is a long time staple in the area, so I was surprised by the location. The tweens ordered ice cream sandwiches and I ordered a chocolate chip cookie and a pint of blackberry crumble ice cream. I appreciated being asked if I wanted to cookie warmed up.. yes, please. It was a delicious cookie, for sure. I was very happy. The ice cream, unfortunately, it has less of a milky texture and more of a gummy texture if that makes sense. Less Haagen Dazs, more Ben & Jerry's.. which I don't prefer. Service was friendly.

Solid dessert spot. Built your own ice cream sandwich with warm cookies - hard to go wrong. Rich flavours and a lot of combinations. Definitely on the sweet/heavy side, but worth it if you're craving something indulgent.

Pretty fun novelty with decent ice cream. This particular location partners with Too Good To Go to sell older cookies cheaper too. The cookies are pretty good. It's a pricey novelty and doesn't replace a local shop but it's fun to try. The service is hit or miss - the teens are too busy staring at their phones. Parking around Easton can be a bit tough.

Had a taste for something sweet, stumble on this spot after realizing Thomas Sweets was closed! Definitely glad they were because the ice cream sandwich from here was freaking delicious. The cookies alone would have been great but the ice cream made it even better. The place was well lit and clean. The server had no personality and wasn't really helpful but luckily that didn't stop me from filling my craving! I will definitely be back for the cake butter cookie with cookies and cream ice cream!

Stopped by The Baked Bear on a night out in New Brunswick. The Baked Bear is a small spot to grab dessert with little seating. I got the Cookiewich, one of the specialties at Baked Bear. The taste was amazing, but was quite heavy. Would recommend if you are a true dessert enthusiast. You choose your cookies and ice cream as you go, so service is quick.

When my friend told me his favorite ice cream spot in Long Branch was coming to New Brunswick we had to give it a try. I was a bit skeptical with a name like the baked bear. It seemed like a trendy spot that majored in sugar but minored in quality. I was so glad to be wrong! I ordered dark chocolate ice cream sandwiched between two cookies and cream cookies (crumbled Oreo's and cheesecake bites). Both the cookie and the ice cream were delicious! The ice cream was rich and the cookie had great texture and balanced flavor. There is so more much to explore on the menu! You can opt to have them hot press the cookie sandwich. The benefit is a warm cookie. The downside is the ice cream melts faster. I went with the warm cookie and had to eat it with a spoon as a result. It worked out, but might be worth passing on the press.

    Ice cream Sandwich!

It's alright. Service is good. Better than I expected. The ice cream is too gummy. It could be better.

Meet Fresh is a Taiwanese dessert shop specializing in traditional Chinese-style sweet dessert…read moresoups--comforting bowls built around ingredients such as red beans, sago, grass jelly, purple rice, tofu pudding, and almond. These desserts are common across Taiwan and much of East Asia, where sweet soups serve the role that cakes or pastries might in the West: a warm or cooling treat at the end of a meal or as an afternoon snack. The brand itself originated in Taichung, Taiwan, where it began as a small family shop inspired by traditional dessert recipes passed down through generations. Today Meet Fresh has expanded internationally, but the menu remains rooted in those classic Taiwanese dessert traditions. The menu includes hot and cold dessert soups, along with bubble teas, specialty drinks, ice creams, shaved ice desserts, and egg waffles--served plain or with a variety of fillings. I stopped in for a bowl of their Combo A hot red bean soup, topped with taro balls, fragrant red beans, crunchy peanuts, and soft, chewy boba. I also ordered a hot almond milk. For those unfamiliar with it, red bean soup is one of the classic desserts of Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine. Made from adzuki beans simmered until soft, it has a naturally earthy sweetness that is comforting without being overly sugary. It's often served hot in cooler weather and chilled in summer. The bowl here was generous and piping hot, exactly what you want from a dessert soup. The sweetness was well balanced--sweet, but not cloying--and the toppings added layers of texture that kept each spoonful interesting. The taro balls are another Taiwanese specialty: chewy dumplings made from taro and sweet potato starch with a texture somewhere between mochi and gnocchi. These were nicely elastic and pleasantly chewy. The peanuts added crunch, while the boba pearls brought their familiar soft chew, making the bowl a fun mix of textures. The hot almond milk was fragrant and soothing. In Chinese dessert culture this type of almond drink is often made from apricot kernels (sometimes called "Chinese almonds"), which gives it a slightly different aroma than Western almond milk. This one was very tasty, though it leaned a bit sweeter than I personally prefer. Service was pleasant and efficient, and the shop has ample seating, making it easy to sit and enjoy your dessert rather than rushing out the door. For anyone curious about Taiwanese desserts--or simply looking for something beyond cakes and pastries--Meet Fresh offers a comforting introduction to a whole world of sweet soups, chewy toppings, and traditional dessert flavors. I would happily return to explore more of the menu.

Meet Fresh is an international chain serving up Taiwanese desserts- shaved iced and grass jelly…read moredesserts along with milk tea and waffle creations. I'd recommend creating a custom dessert for what I felt like is better value, and coming at an off-hour due to the difficulty of finding parking in the plaza. --- Meet Fresh has a wide variety of desserts available: -Pudding & Q Mochi Milk Shaved Ice (L)- I shared it between 4 people, and while it was a good size and I enjoyed the toppings, personally it felt too expensive for the amount of ice! I would be on the fence reordering this. -Signature Grass Jelly (hot)- This came with a side of peanuts. For the relatively expensive signature grass jelly dish, I was a bit disappointed at the ratio of grass jelly to toppings. I would pass next time. -Custom icy grass jelly with 5 toppings [sesame rice balls, taro ball, ice cream, sago, and Q mochi (taro mochi)]- This came with a side of creamer. I really enjoyed both the flavor and toppings in the custom icy grass jelly!! The ratio of toppings was better for sure, but it is a more expensive option. I'd probably still go for this option next time. The restaurant is more or less self-service. It is self-seating. You first order at the kiosk or counter, and then retrieve your order once your number is called. Later, you take your tray and clean up yourself. The interior can seat fairly large groups, maybe 20-40 people total depending on how you sit. One of the biggest obstacles to enjoying Meet Fresh is finding parking in the hectic and overcrowded parking lot. I'd find it hard to justify fighting to find parking for Meet Fresh until I had something else to also do in the plaza. Overall, our group had pretty mixed ratings, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd recommend coming when you're willing to splurge on a custom dessert creation.
