It was a little soft, but tasted okay. My partner had a NSA vanilla shake. I hope they expand the dairy free menu. I'd love to have a few more options, like coffee or caramel. My son requested a cookies and cream ice cream cake for his birthday. I wasn't satisfied with the options at the grocery store and other places like Carvel and wanted to support local small business. I was working on short notice and feared I wouldn't be able to get one in time but the folks at The Ice Cream House answered me promptly and were happy to help! They checked to see if any of the ingredients they use contain soy and unfortunately the cake did, but we came up with an alternative dessert for the child who is allergic to soy and he was perfectly happy with it! The cake was absolutely delicious and a very generous size especially considering what we paid. All my guests asked where the cake was from and my mother requested I have one made when her birthday comes around. Pick up was quick and easy and the cashier was so friendly, it was like talking to someone I knew. Decided to stop by here after we walked past an ice cream truck and thought, "we can get better elsewhere." The shop itself was small, but the menu was quite the opposite. We were visiting and the kids wanted ice cream so we headed over after dinner. They had a decent amount of people coming and going at regular intervals. There's ample street parking and the store itself is small with a handful of tables that seat two inside with more outdoor seating via picnic tables. There were two people inside and they were really nice and helpful. It took me a while to figure out what to get - their menu is extensive and they also have off menu items - to the point I was getting impatient with myself, haha. (I was trying to get my husband to decide on something but he just "didn't care.") They serve a lot of what you might find at a boardwalk, which is ironic because we were at one just the day before. Ultimately, I got two kiddie cups with vanilla and chocolate soft serve for my kids. For my husband and I to share, I got us an off menu green tea with strawberry syrup milkshake the recommendation of the lady helping me. It all came out to be around $16, so not bad. I tried some of the vanilla soft serve and it was creamy and not too sweet. The milkshake was on the subtle side until I got halfway down and the amalgamation of matcha and strawberry - which didn't taste artificial - was more apparent. I liked it a lot! It wasn't mixed perfectly because I'd encounter the occasional tiny pocket of powdered matcha, but I didn't mind at all. I didn't find it too sweet either. Yay! I'm not sure if it would be the same if I got another flavor combination milkshake but this was a winner. Some notes: all their scoopable ice creams are egg-free EXCEPT for birthday cake... because of the birthday cake. Also, they don't have a restroom on site but we were pointed in the direction of the coffee house across the street, with whom they have a partnership with. The coffee shop was supposed to be closed but, luckily, a community meeting was being held there so it was open for longer. My youngest is allergic to wheat, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, avocado, pineapple, and kiwi and the soft serve was perfect for him. No issues at all. He usually goes for scoopable ice cream so I'm glad he finally thinks soft serve options are okay. A great place to visit for a treat and they have something for everyone! They also have non-dairy [they use oat milk], gluten free, and/or sugar free options... with how she's said all their ice creams are egg-free, I'd say the dairy-free ones should be vegan-friendly. read more

Came to this place on a week day night, maybe a little over an hour before closing. I saw it on an instagram ad/reel. We met a very lively young lady who was very informative, attentive, and patient. I got the Sunday with 4 scoops of ice cream and just whip cream. I got the banana pudding ice cream, a blue ice cream, strawberry cheesecake, and a bourbon flavored ice cream. I also got a pupcup. Everything came to around 10/11$. Let me say, the place is cute and staff is wonderful, but i did not like the ice cream at all. It tasted so artificial. All the flavors tasted fake and artificial. What a cute spot! It was only 7 but the place was pretty packed. With the great weather, it was nice to sit outside where they have a few picnic tables available. Street parking wasn't hard to find. When you go inside there are a couple different menus. Take the time to soak in what you're craving. You don't only need to have a regular scoop! They have milkshakes, an array of toppings, bubble cake (egg waffles), sundaes and more! We had a big meal so we stuck with a small cup with 2 flavors. How generous they were and at a very reasonable price! There were a lot of fun flavors including the "crazy" vanilla which was vanilla ice cream in rainbow colors! My kid decided to try the orange sherbet and the cotton candy flavors , both which were good. Next time I would love to try their cappuccino flavor! They have several sugar free ice cream flavors, like chocolate, butter pecan and vanilla. Wifey ordered regular coffee flavor ice cream, three scoops. They opened in November 2021. Their ice cream is made by Hershey's Creamery from Harrisburg PA, not affiliated with Hershey Chocolate. The best, good quality, delicious ice cream on earth. Counter serving staff are friendly and helpful. Well lighted ice cream shop in the area. Menu price is fair much less than What's the Scoop in Metuchen, NJ. I should have given them 5 , but the place is quite small to have a public bathroom and inside dine-in area. You need to eat and hang-out outside. Good time to hangout outside on warmer days. Parking is only on curbside, you're not allowed to park in-front since it's reserved for public bus stop. I will return to try other ice cream flavors they have. read more

The supplier for their fudge products is out of PA, and if you know anything about farm life and food artisans in PA, they are famous for delivering the freshest ingredients. The same rings true for the fudge and the ice cream at this establishment. On the night my family decided to visit, it started raining cats and digs on our drive over, but I was resolute that nothing would rain on my ice cream parade! I was really excited about ice cream being so close to our house, but have been underwhelmed by the ice cream. I think the biggest let down is that it is obvious that the ice cream isn't homemade. At first I thought it was, but when you look at the flavor labels you can see that they put an "ice cream house" sticker over where the Hershey's logo is. We've gone twice, once for their soft opening and once after the grand opening. They do have unique flavors and toppings, but the last time we went there were chunks of ice in my ice cream.
