    Vegan options!
    Bunny L.

As soon as my BF and I came in we were greeted by a sweet worker, along with a really chill relaxing vibe. We got the 6 scoop float to try a whole bunch of flavors between pretty in pink, mint monster cookie, mocha, baileys, Irish whiskey, and blueberry cheesecake Every flavor was fresh and not overwhelming. I'm so glad we stopped and we will definitely be coming again next time with my vegan mother so she can try the vegan options!

This is a very cute ice cream shop in Metuchen. They have a ton of flavors! I had banana Oreo and cookie dough. I can not say I'm a fan. I felt like my ice cream was lacking in flavor but I'd try out other flavors from the shop. My son really enjoyed his ice cream. The staff were very patient and kind.

Good flavors!! This place has been in business since I was a kid and I've always wanted to try it. Really nice to see it's still here and thriving. Def will be back if in the area

The staff were friendly and the service was quick. Some of the best ice cream in the area- we got cones with the black raspberry, fluffer nutter, and white chocolate raspberry swirl. The fluffer nutter- marshmallow ice cream with peanut butter was our favorite. And very reasonably priced compared to other ice cream shops. Will definitely be back soon!

Great experience here. Tons of ice cream flavors to choose from and very reasonably priced. The young servers were very friendly and efficient...kudos to them. Conveniently located right on Main Street with lots of street parking in the immediate area. Lots of food options in the area as well...this is a great post-dinner dessert option.

String/hair we found in our ice cream.

Ice cream is delicious, but finding a hair/string in our ice cream definitely put a bad taste in our mouth, no pun intended.

Delicious ice cream!! Truly that homemade taste and quality. Friendly service and a splendid assortment of flavors. Their ice cream cake prices are also very reasonable and a perfect addition to the any party. I called a few weeks in advance for the cake and it was a hit with everyone. Definitely a gem in the neighborhood.

What's the Scoop is the local ice cream spot in Metuchen. They have over 70 flavors of ice cream made in small batches plus soft serve. The amount of flavors can be overwhelming but the staff is knowledgeable. They can also make milkshakes, floats, and a much of other things. I tried the chocolate peanut butter ice cream which was great. Creamy chocolate ice cream paired with frozen peanut butter is almost always a homerun.

Cute shop on main street. LOTS of flavors to choose from all made in house. A good variety of vegan ice creams as well. Anything from Mexican Chocolate to Banana Oreo. I got the Lemon Blueberry Shortbread. It was good. The right amount of tang and big pieces of shortbread cookies. Lots of seating. Polite, friendly service.

Ice cream is my favorite thing to have for dessert, (well, actually it's my favorite lunch too) and I am picky about quality. The ice cream here is top tier! I've been here a bunch of times and try different flavors every time. I love their classic flavors like chocolate and vanilla, and their more unusual and creative combinations too. The staff here has good energy! They're always friendly and helpful. It's small and clean and comfortable inside and there's outdoor sidewalk seating too. It's on the pricy side but totally worth it for the high quality.

One of my loves is ice cream, it's like my kryptonite! I love mom and pop style ice cream joints because they are usually tastier! I got their blend in with chocolate ice cream and reeces pieces & peanut butter cup!! It was as delicious as it looked! I will definitely be back!!

2 scoops of butter pecan with no sugar added

I dropped by on a weekday afternoon. This place was not busy at all. I ordered 2 scoops of coffee espresso and 2 scoops of butter pecan with no sugar added. Very small containers, counter guy gave me kids size which I didn't ask for. I just noticed it when I got home and saw my bill. But still pricey for $3.28 each kid's cup before tax. Next time, I will go to Ice Cream House instead.

Amazing service. Cake was the highlight of my son's 10th birthday. Thank you so much for everything . Ordering online and pickup was so easy.

Over the years I have heard nothing but good from friends -- "Excellent" "Exactly like they make it in Florence!" "Best Italian food I've ever tasted." I went with a party of four. For appetizers we split the Polpo E Patate (grilled octopus & potatoes) and Patate Fritte (French fries). The octopus was amazing, tender almost like perfect scallops with a tasty pesto. The French fries with herbs, garlic bread crumbs and pesto were crunchy, tasty, delicious. For mains my companions had Branzino with eggplant carponata, an amazing 4-cheese Gnocchi, and swordfish. I tasted all, and all were spot on; everyone loved their main course. I had Linguini Vongole (clams and linguini); the clams were perfect - tender and tasty; but the star of the show was the homemade linguine, seasoned perfectly and cooked to al dente perfection. We finished with cappuccino and Tiramasu. The service was excellent. Attentive and quick, and our waitress, Merin, was able to answer every question about the menu with authority, and even about the ingredients and preparation. The ambiance is understated, relaxed, and what you hope for when enjoying a special meal. I am quite stingy in passing out 5-Star ratings; I reserve them for the best of the best, for restaurants where I'm confident readers will also enjoy an outstanding meal. Mangia Toscano is clearly 5-Star; it is *the* must-do restaurant in Metuchen.

I had the Salmon and the Gnocchi Al Pesto, and both dishes were delicious, savory, and full of flavor. The staff was attentive, the ambiance was great, and the overall experience made me want to come back again. Highly recommend!
