I've tried eating here and just can't seem to get past the fact that everything you try is bland!!! They have great soft drinks :)

Chicken enchiladas were dry and was very bland tasteless. Retried beans were over cooked. Rice was to dry.

Fast service, nice staff but food was cold not even warm. If you do see any steam at least from the beans .... zap in the microwave. I am not one to send things back but I couldn't even make it work on any level. read more

They have the best rolled tacos! If you go you better order a 12 piece rolled taco I like to get half chicken half shredded beef which comes with sour cream guac and salsa ...it's been one of my favorite spots for years...I even go through the drive thru just to buy a container of their yummy salsa! read more

I'm posting this review because the last 3 times I've been into this restaurant I see the same employee sitting in the same spot on her cell phone eating food when every single table in the building is dirty from people eating at them. The fans are suuuuppper dusty like loose my appetite sitting next to it dusty. I've also yet to go to any other Mexican restaurant and have white breakfast gravy served on my enchilada, a margarita with no alcohol in it, no chips offered upon deciding what I want 2/3 times (when every other table had them). I guess I'm just disappointed because the food I got (was like a fried tortilla with carnitas in it) was actually pretty fire. I decided to give every restaurant 3 chances and I'm good off this place. Get a cleaning crew... like yesterday. read more

I just went there and when I got there the food was not even ready so I waited patiently and was expecting my food to be fresh. I got back and checked my still warm food to find out that the chips are old and EVERYTHING was soggy!! The nachos were disgusting, the tacos literally feel apart upon trying to pick it up. The only ok thing was the 2lbs burrito, and that is still not that great. The last couple of times I've been to meeho's the quality has gotten really bad!! Meehos is my favorite place in town. They have great food for an excellent price. I love their breakfast burritos especially and their tortillas are to die for! They are very accommodating if you have special food preferences or restrictions. The staff is always very friendly. I can honestly say that I have not had a bad experience and I've been here many, many times. The only suggestion that I have is that it would be nice if they would offer the option of vegetarian or white/brown rice on their menu. Their rice is currently made with chicken broth, which works for most but not for all. Again, this place is awesome and I will continue to support them for years to come. read more

No flavor, no bueno. The BBQ'd chicken is OK I guess, I saw a homeless guy take a piece of meat off when no one was looking but I didn't say anything because he looked hungry and I feel like its their responsibility to tend to their BBQ. I ordered the big burrito last time I was there for around $9. They have an enticing model as you walk in that's huge. Don't expect that when they actually make it. At first, they gave me a $2 burrito on accident that was a little bigger than my thumb. I looked in the bag and laughed and told them that I think they made a mistake and then they proceeded to yell at each other a little bit. Then they made me the HUGE $9 burrito that looked about the size of a burrito supreme at Taco Bell. For $9, if it isnt huge, it better at least have good flavor...nope. False advertising. I guess I'm just spoiled with the delicious Taqueria's I grew up with in the bay area. Still looking for an affordable delicious restaurant in Paradise. Any ideas? read more

Not the best Mexican style food around. It is however the best in Paradise. The food: Portions for main meals are small compared to pricing. The ratio of meat to bean to rice is amazing in the 2lb grande burrito. Customer service: I am "okay" with how I am treated here, but there is no "above and beyond" aspect when it comes to the employees here. read more

Great service! The location is very good. Busy spot for lunch but everything was quick and convenient. Ordered chile verde enchiladas and the watermelon agua fresca. So delicious! Great portion size. Chips and salsa were a plus. Definitely will be back and recommend to others who appreciate authentic Mexican cuisine and friendly service! read more

Well service has gone down hill again. I have been a loyal meehos customer for 20 years now.... I am so sick of their lackluster service and disrespect right now. The last three times there they have screwed up and were rude about when I told them. Three times ago they forgot our nacho cheese, last time we always ask for no ice in our drinks and they put ice in them. We asked Royce to change it and he flat refused and was rude. Finally this time again they forgot the nacho cheese. Francisco needs to get his staff under control before he loses a lot more customers. read more

The only good review about this place was that it served cold beer and had good service. The nachos were horrible, they were made with Cheez Whiz type fake cheese (really, how tough is it to put real cheese on corn tortilla chips and melt it in the oven?). Don't come here if you're looking for authentic Mexican food - the spelling of their name gives it away. read more

Ok I'm only giving this place 2 stars because my fiance liked his food the 3 or so times we've tried this place, I was horribly disappointed every time however. The last time I went I got some cheese enchiladas and the sauce that they put on them had the consistency of sweet and sour sauce with absolutely no tomato flavor(it tasted closer to sweet and sour), I had 3 people taste it just so I knew I wasn't crazy. I threw it all away. It honestly could have been slightly rancid. The fajitas that my fiance got were good, but all of their food is pretty bland and I don't think I will be going back there. Absolutely horrible, I got the 2 piece chicken meal with soup, they didn't give me the soup and both pieces of chicken were raw.

It's a shame Meehos doesn't cater to vegetarian/vegans. Their rice has chicken stock, we were told. We would definitely eat there if it weren't for that. read more

Food is very bland, burritos are full of rice and flavorless beans with a dash of meat. The breakfast burritos are about the only thing I will eat off their menu. I love that they offer a side of nacho cheese but even that is flavorless.. I want to like their food but sadly I am disappointed each time I go for lunch or dinner. My wife and I first went to Meehos near the first part of 2015, and today we tried it again. The first time was heaven, and this time was hell... I talked to the manager by phone today after we ate there and she said that "we lost our cook". I think that since they have various cooks throughout the day, they may have lost one cook, but nothing explains the drop in quality that we saw today. Before they had a "burrito special" that was awesome, but today we tried their famous "grande burrito" and it was terrible. We paid over $17 for two burritos and they had NO flavor (except for a bad charcoal one), almost no chicken, and it was composed of mostly rice...non-organic by the way. Our impression is that they've underpaid and therefore lost their good cooks, and are trying to survive off of their former reputation. It doesn't work for us, we got two giant burritos that are almost all rice and have NO flavor, and they lost two good customers. read more

My MIL lives in Paradise and every time we visit we HAVE to eat here. Its thee best! Food is amazing and the staff is awesome. The grill is outside and the whole place (outside included) smells wonderful. There is inside and outdoor seating, I believe they even have a drive thru. Prices are very reasonable. Great little place to eat if you live there or your just passing through. read more

Tried this place multiple times. It's just not good in my opinion. I actually avoid the place now. The biggest complaint I have is how awfully bland the food is here (one star). If I had an aversion to spices and a taste for non-traditional "Mexican" food then maybe I'd like it more..... Service has always been friendly though so I'll give an extra star. read more

This place has made some upgrades since the last time I've paid a visit. They are a really nice outdoor patio and that is just all about it has going for it. The burritos are just absolutely horrid for the 6 bucks you spend on them, Taco Bell can make better ones. Apparently they don't understand when you don't want any cheese. The one thing I did think was interesting was the salsa had chopped celery in it and it does have a drive through. We won't be visiting this place again. read more

If you're a Paradisian you've been to Meehos. We probably go once or twice a month and it has it's ups and downs but we can't complain. No it's not terribly authentic, but the food is good and it's priced right. The service is always great; we love the girls there, except for the one who speaks very little English, she's nice but always goofs our order up. Overall it's a relaxed enjoyable place to go and eat. read more

So much to love about Meehos. Tostada's are excellent, as are the vegetarian rolled tacos. They serve a great breakfast everyday and the tortillas are always fresh and they even sell them by the dozen if you want to take them home. Well, I can say I was not disappointed. I had the menudo which was decent, and the Chile Relleno. The price was right and the portion was even righter.. Was that a word? Anyway its really busy and the smoke pit going early in the morning makes you want to stop.. The flavor was right, my only gripe, and its a minor gripe.. The place is small for a Mexican Restaurant. Did the drive through 'cuz I heard their dinner tostadas were a good deal for $9. They accidentally heard "enchilada" instead of "tostada" and the dinner was super small. Paradise is not the place for mexican food, it seems. It tasted ok, but was just really small - won't be going back - will wait for a real mexican dinner in the big city! Sometimes I pull in the drive through and grab a quick lunch here. The best thing I have had is the chicken fajita taco salad. Skip the tamales, or at least ask for them without the sauce. Also, be sure to ask for the HOT salsa....its not really that hot, but has much better flavor than the standard pico de gallo. Certain items are overpriced in my opinion, but overall a pretty good place to grab a bite. read more

I absolutely love the Chicken Wagon Tacos. However, today I tried the wagon tacos with Tri-tip. You could tell by the taste that it was cooked, cut and put into a fridge... Then reheated on order. I would have preferred fresh meat. I guess I'll just stick to the chicken. read more
