Still good enough but not amazing. Pastor is just their flavor, not my fave, feels like not sweet enough like in used to pastor tasting. Definitely go supreme, maybe minus lettuce. Cali burrito was too dry and wasn't a fan of the sauce. read more

Oh man, I have been on the SEARCH for some quality street tacos. I recently discovered this truck and THEY DELIVER. | l o c a t i o n | Abundant parking in the nearby lot. The seating area has a couple of picnic tables and is covered. I usually just grab my food to-go though. | f o o d | Eat to your heart's content because they have tortas, tostadas, burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, and fries! I always get carne asada and pastor tacos. Their pastor is actually the best I have had in town. Also, if you come on Friday evenings/nights, they have the pastor spit going on outside of the truck which is very nostalgic of my taco-eating days in LA :') I also have tried their carne asada fries and appreciate that they use shredded cheese instead of the nacho cheese. They also offer all the salsas you can help yourself to on the side! | t l ; d r | Service + food always on POINT. New favorite taco truck! 11/10 recommend :) read more

BOMB.COM I definitely recommend this taco truck. My husband and I got two California burritos de Al pastor, they were a great size, big and full. The salsa were both (red & green) delicious. We also got some tacos on the side and they were so good. I didn't get to take a picture of all the food but I got a picture of a taco. The wait time for our food was about 7-10mins not bad at all. The ladies were very nice and helpful! Thanks for our amazing dinner tonight! #supportlocal read more

So good!!! Honestly the best Mexican food in the Chico area. Family owned and you can tell by the pride they put into their food. This is as authentic Mexican street food as it gets. I've only tried it once since it's been open, but I am a fan thus far. They got my order 100% correct (sounds lame, but a LOT of places get orders consistently wrong), and the burrito was juicy, the chicken was yummy, and it is very reasonably priced. **update: I tried it again and still feel the same way. I would say their chicken isn't the BEST I've ever had, but it isn't bad either. I love that they put lettuce in their burritos and never get my order wrong! read more

OMG I have been on the hunt for some authentic tacos and man did Mi Taquito Grill deliver! Stellar authentic tacos and aguas frescas! We were passing through to head over to Lassen National Park and decided to stop and have a bite. Everyone ordered something different and all agreed the tacos were amazing! I had their carnitas with some of the habanero salsa which blew my mind. The spice was just spicy enough and the carnitas were tender and had the perfect amount of slight crispiness. Everyone agreed that the chorizo tacos were excellent as well as the al pastor. The carne asada was delish as well! We dont live near by but I'm still thinking about these tacos a week later. I need my fix! They menu looked incredible across the board from floutas to tortas and many others. Next time I'm in the area, I know exactly where I'm heading! AUTHENTIC! read more

We always go through phases of "this is my favorite burrito in town" for a few weeks at a time. I have to say Mi Taquito is my new fave. After hearing it is a sister restaurant to Js Tacos and Beer, we had to come try. Food is absolutely delicious. Fiancé ordered carnitas supreme burrito and I the vegetarian burrito (both spicy). The carnitas was cooked perfectly and wasn't loaded down with grease at all. For a plain vegetarian burrito I couldn't get over the amount of flavor it had. You can tell the tortillas are raw and they cook them on the grill. My favorite part of any meal is the carb component and this tortilla was crazy good. Friendly and quick service! Love!!! read more

Good food, but pricey. The same price if not more $$ than Chipotle. Recently upped their prices to the point it's not saving money so I'm kinda over it. Rather have all organic food from Tea Bar or Chipotle for similar price. Before the price change, I would say this place is great. But not $12 taco truck for one person to eat is more decent, above average. read more

It's located on the corner in front of the Wildcat WREC center at Chico State. The owner (who works the cart) is an awesome guy, wanting to give the community of Chico an affordable healthy option for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The menu consists of fruit parfaits with organic yogurt and granola and many toppings to choose from. He buys his produce from local farmers and Chico Natural Foods, which I think is great. He also offers cups of sweet fruit, organic fruit juices, different salad combinations with killer dressings and toppings, and gourmet sandwiches and burritos. I had the chicken sandwich a few days ago and it was incredible. Packed with avocado, nut-less vegan pesto, fresh and colorful tomatoes, the most tender and perfectly marinated chicken, sautéed veggies and garlic... YUM. You cannot go wrong with this cart. Let me start with the area where this taco is located? 2819 Esplanade, just North of Eaton Road, set off to the right hand side of Esplanade this side of DeGarmo Park. In a gated area, gravel and dirt, with plenty of parking. The place is brand new and has the appearance of cleanliness and quality presentation choices. I'm doing details so you can't miss the place. So after five times choosing to eat their food, I finally thought to help promote Tacos El Lider by writing a review. Why, because the taste is unique with taste and preparation. Not overbearing and balanced for your choices to add peppers or sauces to preference. I'm a believer in clean preparation and great taste. Hispanic/Latino foods are specific to where the management learned their craft. Really, don't you like original tasting food where everything considered is for the customer's delight? Yes!!! Because Tacos El Lider is new, it is still sharp and crisp looking which is a sign for quality presentation! Are you hungry and curious to find out for yourself? Your ability to go out, get in your car, head in the right direction, and check out the layout. I thought only Hector and Jackie worked their, but most recently was served by an alternate couple of very nice people who served me a very nice burrito. Probably Hector's parents, I'm not sure?!? Hey, see how clean and presentable the settings are, turn your car in a comfortable spot, park, get out to check out the surroundings. It's a little off set, but very doable. I want the taste and quality for my money and I got what I paid for!?! Come give it a try? What do you have to lose? Next visit will be the seventh time because I didn't get my business card last stop, the people working were very nice but I forgot to get my "10 purchases and I get something", a good promotion for Tacos El Lider. They are new, clean, friendly, plenty of parking and they just need you to take a leap of faith? Your taste buds will tell the story! Afterall, I'm a return customer. I do Yelp reviews as I have done in the past. Only after testing the food for all concerns? Easy access, pleanty of parking, nice solid seating, with a sunroof, menus, a personal beeper when your order is up, easy service with a smile. Another great find that I've been sleepin' on for too long. Favorite taco truck I've found (aside…read morefrom El Lider's quesabirria which, this one has Birria on Fridays that I haven't tried yet). Most of us know the saying that you get what you pay for, but I felt like I got AMAZING value for the money. My partner got a chicken burrito ($5 special on Wednesday's as of 6/23/21, including tax!) and a can of Dr. Pepper, and I got a pastor sope and an asada grilled taco with a bottled coke. The total was $13!!! I loved the steak and pastor. My partner usually gets the steak and said he preferred the steak over chicken. All the food was really good - great flavor and tasted like the perfect balance between fresh and indulgent. They had melted cheese on the inside of the taco and burrito which I LOVE. I got mild, with a side of the spicy salsa. I preferred mild but tasted the spicy and it wasn't too much for me. However my partner warned me that it has been much spicier in the past so if you're sensitive to spice, I'd probably err on the side of caution and get it on the side. With these prices, you can't go wrong. Definitely worth a shot!

the food tastes good to me :) This is my first time trying and I like it. It was $8 for this tortaread more

Seriously their food competes with the best in the Mission in SF, for the entire ten years I've lived here it's held strong. I get the shrimp fajita burrito but any burrito is always big with everything evenly distributed, you get all the ingredients including meat from first to last bite. My husband always gets the street tacos, one of each meat because he can never pick just one. I will finally stop pretending there might be something better out here and know my money is well spent here.

During the ordering process, the gentleman behind the counter either misheard or didn't understand my meal requests (which happens, as they were fairly busy with lunch traffic). My food was assembled quickly and served smokin' hot, but, unfortunately, not correctly. Thankfully I don't have any particular food allergies and the meal itself was more than tolerable, so live and learn (on my part). I'll be returning to AZTLAN, eventually.

The pork chile verde burrito and carnitas burrito were big, tightly wrapped, and packed with flavor--the pork was juicy, the tortilla chips are made in-house, and even the foil wrap held up perfectly. The chips with their green and red salsas caseras were excellent, and the jamaica agua fresca was refreshing. The space is large with plenty of parking, colorful murals outside, and on weekends you can see the wood-fired spit grilling chicken and other meats al carbón. Friendly service, fresh flavors, and an authentic vibe--this place truly impressed us and is worth the stop.

There are some decent Mexican places in Chico and Paradise but this was the best Carne Asada burrito I've had. The sauce had kind of a sharp cheddar cheese flavor to it. And the combination with the fresh cut avocados and sour cream was delightful. I had the rice on the side and was glad I did. The rice could use some of the wonderful sauce that's in the burrito. But for the sauce of the burrito alone it gets five stars. And this is a real mom and pop shop. Both mom and popc were working their tails off in the taco truck and were delightful too. They should flip the truck around so you can see the awesome mural that's painted on one side of it from Park Avenue. Right now only the three people in the parking lot of the casino can see it.
