Thirteen dollars for 4 bean and cheese tacos, nothing else. Beans, cheese, corn tortilla. I got the nachos and they were okay, I wouldn't order them again though. Partly because there was no sauce, salsa, jalapeños or anything with a kick, the cheese sauce was very cheap and gross, but mostly because after eating here my stomach hurt all night. It's such an easy drive thru and a great place to sit inside and have a taste of Mexico. The place reminded me of some of the places I had gone to when vacationing in Mexico, bright colors, lots of seating and the servers are very nice. I came here a couple times to get breakfast burritos. They are generous in size. My favorite is the Country Breakfast burrito because they put country gravy and cheese on it. I haven't liked the other burritos because they were pretty dry. The employees are super nice! The only thing I would change about the place is how high their drive thru window is, in my compact car I couldn't reach the window. Luckily the employees have long enough arms lol! I had to give them their tip at the pick-up window, because no matter how hard I reached I could not put tips in their tip jar at the order window! Their patio is great since their indoor seating is extremely small. It's not my first choice for Mexican food, but they have the best (country) breakfast burrito in my opinion. I've tried to like meehos more than once. Both times I got the chicken bacon avocado salad there is so much water in it! I spent $12 today on that salad and a small drink (and basically had to choke the wet salad down) because I'm not rude and don't want to go up to the counter and complain. I am not happy with that at all. Fast and yummy Mexican food. Anything with their grilled chicken is the best. They grill their chicken on an oak firepit in front of the business, so it has that smoky taste. We eat there all the time and always enjoy it. You can get chicken by the piece or have it added to your burritos, tacos, and my favorite, a charbroiled chicken tostada. Physical food hazards :( Went through the drive-through the night of 6/16/18 and ordered two shredded beef Flauta's combos. When I got home and we began eating our dinner. After a few bites my wife was shocked as she bit down onto a tooth pick that was cut in to two pieces that stabbed the roof of her mouth. I've been a regular customer of Tonya's for years. I made it a point to go up the hill and order from her truck in the parking lot after the fire to show my support. When they moved into the rebuilt building, the crew changed and I kept getting served by a red-headed girl who screwed up my order three visits in a row. I'm a real estate broker in Chico. I sell in Paradise too. EVERY TIME I work in Paradise I go to Meehos to bring diner home to my family. It's all about the grilled chicken you drive by on Skyway. It's the absolute most addicting delicious BBQ chicken I've ever had. The salsa bar inside too is soooooooooooo good! The green salsa & the red hot salsa are my favs. They give you free chips & salsa even with to go orders. And they don't mind if you're a salsa nut like me and take home sides from the salsa bar - no charge. Aside from the grilled meats being amazing, the people who work there are the nicest. You can not expect good Mexican food in Butte County, but specifically not in Paradise. Trying to eat Mexican food in Paradise is like saying "I really feel like a good case of food poisoning today!" Just. Don't. Do. It. My husband and I stopped in here once and ordered two burritos. We asked for some nacho cheese, too, because we have become accustomed to putting some in our burritos after Aca Taco Nord introduced us to it. Our burritos were wrapped in some kind of tortilla that tasted like a wet paper bag. It was hard to bite through and the flavor was terrible. The ingredients inside the burrito were also disgusting, causing us to spit the food back out. The sides of nacho cheese were nothing but melted velveeta. It was so gross. We ended up throwing our food away with only one bite taken from each, and those bites were still on the plates after being spit out. That's how bad it is, and I am really not the sort of person to waste food. Don't go to Meehos unless you want to waste your money and possibly become ill. read more

They got a guy out front all day cooking tri tip and chicken you can order to put in your meal. They also have home made tortillas which are to die for. The service has been interesting as the management obviously likes to hire younger people got their staff, which is cool but sometimes you get that princess who thinks shes too good yo help you out. Whatever though, I'm not there to get pampered by a portion queen I'm there to eat some of the best white washed Mexican food there is. So this is pretty much the only place that has fast Mexican food that isn't a Taco Bell. I did hear a rumor that there is another taqueria somewhere around Paradise, but I have yet to try it. I guess when you come from somewhere like San Jose, you get used to really good Mexican food. For where its at the nachos were OK. I didn't like the meat, but liked that they used whole pintos. Welllll, after a decent walk in experience and talking with the host, I thought I was in for a decent dining experience. Little did I know what I was in for. My favorite meal of all time, fajitas... happen to be served here! I ordered beef, not to be confused with chicken because I have never ordered chicken fajitas once. However, I ended up receiving chicken. As sad as I was, I carried on. I tried a single bite, and it was awful. My girlfriend was having a hard time eating soggy nachos as well. Not to mention we were bombarded by flies for the entire time. However I surrendered my food to them because at least THEY wanted to eat it. We stopped here on a whim, for lunch. We had the 4 piece Charbroiled chicken and 3 Rolled Tacos with chicken. The charbroiled chicken was flavorful, the skin was crispy, and it was really good! We had rice and beans as well. The rice was ok. Not the best I've had, but still decent. The beans were good. They had good flavor, and were topped with melted cheese. The Rolled Tacos. I lived in AZ for the last 8 months, and had some REALLY phenomenal Mexican food. The Rolled Tacos here at Meehos were better! Crispy AND stuffed with chicken. Served with sour cream and guacamole. Side note, the guac was good! The salsas were ok. We tried the Orange, which was supposed to be hot, the salsa verde, the pico, and a red salsa. I was excited to try the Orange, but was disappointed with the flavor itself. The Salsa Verde was the best, with a bit of a kick. And they have pickled jalapenos for that little extra kick! We also had a fried ice cream. It was the best I have ever had! Vanilla Ice Cream, rolled in crunchy cornflakes, with cinnamon sugar, whipped cream (that tasted like it had coconut in it and was superb), and a chocolate drizzle...And for $5, it was definitely well worth it. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised with this little hidden gem. The reason for the 4 stars was the patio. It really needs to be screened in. We were assaulted by flies and the bees continually. It seems like the drive-thru is pretty consistent, as there were always cars in line while we were eating. We definitely have a new stop as we are passing through Paradise! read more

Stopped in on our way up to DeSabla. This place has a few good things going for it. They had a pretty nice outdoor patio. Even though it is located right on a busy street it was still nice to sit outside in the shade. They serve beer...can't get that at a Taco Bell. The food was mediocre, but seriously if you've ever been to Paradise you know that the dining options aren't exactly 5-star. No offense to the Paradisians, but you have to admit the drive to Chico has got to be worth it for a good meal. I had a carnitas burrito. The meat was okay, and the other fillings were good. The best part was the tortilla. It was soft, warm, and fresh. My wife had the Veggie Burrito. Her sentiments were similar to mine, however she would have liked black instead of pinto beans, but was not an option. I think if you take this place for what it is worth, it is a decent dining option. We made a last minute decision to stop here and I was not expecting much, so I was pleasantly surprised at how good the chile verde chimichanga was. Perhaps the food is a bit Americanized and not all that spicy but it was still very tasty and the combo platters had good sized portions of food. While visiting my parents in Paradise they wanted to take my wife and I to Meehos. I was excited to eat there since my parents rave about it. The parking was a little funky and tight but I totally looked past that as soon as I smelled the BBQ chicken. I walked up the counter and ordered my grilled BBQ burrito and the employee asked if I wanted to try the three pound burrito. My curiosity was instantly peaked and I excepted his challenge. While waiting for our food to come I used the head. This was another awkward experience. I had to walk outside and around the restaurant through the kitchen and then I finally saw the gender neutral restroom. There is a salsa bar next to the registers with some pretty good looking yet bland tasting salsas. Once my burrito came out I was super excited to dive into this beast. My first night was sadly disappointing. I had not asked nor had I seen where they said they put LETTUCE in their burrito. This is not cool in my book. An authentic burrito does not have lettuce in it. The gentleman came out and asked how our food was and I without hesitation told him my salad was good. The extremely large burrito also started to fall apart immediately. Another bummer for me. Although I did not care for the burrito, I am giving the two stars because of the BBQd chicken.
