Whenever I'm in Paradise, I stop by this restaurant for some delicious Mexican food. They offer many tasty dishes. My favorite happens to be the 2-pound burrito. And the pollo asado. And I feel like a child in a candy store when I'm at their salsa bar. All the types and spices. I'm already hungry just thinking about their offerings. The only problem I have with this restaurant is the wait time. Whenever I place an order, I have to wait an extraordinarily long time for it. I only order a combo with a chicken taco and chicken quesadilla. I have yet to actually get any chicken in quesadilla. I don't know how many times I've tried this same order and I still get no chicken, what do I say differently for them to understand that I want a chicken quesadilla? How hard is it when I order a chicken taco with it? I've never worked in the food industry but it can't be that hard. My co-worker had stopped into Meehos on August 31st around 11am and ordered a "Taco Bar" to take to work for everyone. They arranged THE WORKS!!! They gave us individual containers of everything you could ask for. I wanted to leave a review and say that although I have never been inside of this place I really enjoyed the food and everything was easy to share and make indidual portions for. The cooks do not know how to read English. The last three times in a row that I have gone to meehos I have asked for something as simple as no rice. All three times I told them to add more beans or lettuce. All three times the receipt was correct and the lady repeated my order perfectly. The cooks cannot read the English language. They gave me extra rice and no beans or lettuce. They also do not understand the difference between street tacos and regular tacos. Was dissatisfied, I ordered my food to go. Big mistake!! My chicken salad had cold chili beans at the bottom, my chicken was not grilled. The service was fast, the salsa bar was good- fresh and their prices are good! Their house pico salsa reminds me of Casa Lupes Salsa (YUM!) we had to get a container to go once we finished our meal. I like that there is a drive-thru at this restaurant, but the location is very inconvenient, which is the main reason we have only stopped by once before today in the last 6 years. Both times we did go, it was pretty empty, so our orders were quick, and the food was okay, nothing to brag about. However, one thing has changed. I ordered both times a kid's meal. Nothing impressive, but my daughter really wanted a chicken taco. The first time, her meal was for a kid, with no extra spicy sauce or covered in toppings of all kinds kids don't usually eat. Today, her taco had very little meat, tons of toppings, and a lot of really, really spicy pico de gallo. It was so bad that the chicken was too spicy for her to eat even after carefully scraping off all the toppings. Most kids don't eat extra spicy food, so I just don't understand why they would even add it. And who puts carrots on a Mexican soft taco? The other item was a burrito. While my dad said the taste was "fine," the burrito was poorly wrapped for a take-out order. It was wrapped in a baking sheet that was smaller than the burrito. It was so flimsy that it mostly came off during the very short car ride. By the time I parked, I noticed it was coming undone and had to try to put it back together in the car before taking it out. Service was very brief, so I can't comment on that; however, we will not be coming back. Next time, we'll drive down to Chico. read more

A real authentic Fresh Mexican food... our family has enjoyed the food here every single time. We usuall order whole grilled chicken pieces and take it home. It's Delicious.... Ordered their char chicken and rolled tacos. The rolled tacos are pretty good. I usually order half chicken half beef. The beef is shredded and kind of bland. The char chicken however was dry dry dry and had a weird taste. They have a drive thru or you can eat inside. Nice little place. Employees are usually nice. read more
