I was greeted with a smile by the gentleman cooking behind the counter and I was able to self seat at the table of my choosing. The person that took my order was very kind and instructed me to grab a beverage from the fridge if I'd like. I ordered a simply chicken and rice plate with a side of their salad. I can't recall the name but it was very tasty, fresh, and delicious. The food came out quickly and tasted amazing, the chicken was cooked to perfection and the rice was flavorful. I enjoy the roasted tomatoes as well as the jalapeno on the side. It brought even more flavor and texture to the meal. Soltani is worth checking out if you are looking for a Mediterranean spot in Santa Ana

Located on 1st in Santa Ana near Tustin, there's a wrought iron fence around the private lot, and the restaurant is open until 9pm most nights. I was surprised nobody was dining in, and except for a woman waiting for her takeout order to be made, I was the only person for most of the visit. I quickly realized the phone rings often, so most business is ordered ahead, with the option to eat there, in the car, or take home. Clearly, for presentation and likely quantity, I recommend eating there. The host is a nice older gentleman who literally does it all, and is so good it hardly seems like he's working. My Shish kabob plate came out faster than expected, and I was almost as impressed with the salad as the saffron rice and actual kabob, which is tender and amazing by the way. Basically, you pick a drink from the refrigerator, and I let him talk me into trying hummus, and appetizer, which ultimately comes with cut flatbread. His take is less creamy than other restaurants, but the flavors are fresh, without garlic. Don't worry, the salad dressing is a fantastic creamy Italian style. All-in-all, I was enjoying every bite and pretty much ate everything, although I preserved some hummus to eat at home. The price was commiserate with the quality, and I suppose I'll try more when I'm around the area.

Each combo came with a side salad and the service was great. At Naan & Kabob, you place your order and pay - then they'll either bring out your food or pack it for to go. We also ordered Hummus with naan and everything was devine. The food was amazing and we didn't know why we'd never tried it before! At the end, we had a little bit of hummus left, and we still wanted to take it to go. So when we told the server, he was nice enough to give us a whole new side of hummus to go! Wow! If that's not great service, idk what is! We will definitely be back for more! If you haven't tried this place out, it's def worth a shot! Great food and even better service.

For the sandwich, they slice it in 2/2, and then fill it with all of the meat in my case beef or you can do beef and chicken or just chicken. Ask for a sample to try and see which one you like. They also do a falafel, however, I found it to be a little bit on the dry side but flavorful. They also do a wrap or simply a plate. They also have some specials where they put the meats and sauces over french fries. That seems to be very popular. It's actually kind of like a Chipotle in the way that you order at the counter and pick which ingredients you want. If you like sweets, they have homemade delicious rice pudding among other Turkish treats. Some of these items sell out early so show up right before lunch to have the best selection. This is a go-to place for me at least every two or three weeks and never disappoints! They are extremely consistent and they have great service with friendly staff.

So I got to save the other half for another lunch! The flavors were pretty good! The peppers were pretty strong in spice, which was a pleasant surprise as well. The pide is essentially a sandwich, so the bread was also perfectly toasted. Overall, very solid spot! I never had something like this before, so it was a nice place to try.

I love it because I feel like this type of food can be easy to mess up, but Zait and Zaatar gets it just right. I look forward to coming back. Also the man in the hat who took our order, perhaps the owner, was so welcoming and friendly to us. I placed an online order for the baked fish plate around 12:45 PM and expected a bit of a wait since it was fish. After waiting about 25 minutes, I called and was told it would be another 10-15 minutes. The restaurant was busy, so I understood. However, after waiting longer and checking inside twice, my order still wasn't ready and there seemed to be confusion about its status. In total, I waited close to an hour for an order that was placed online in advance. What bothered me most was seeing customers who ordered in person receive their food before me. It felt like my online order had been overlooked. If online ordering is offered, those orders should be monitored and fulfilled properly, especially during busy times. The food itself was good, but the plate could have been put together better. The fries were placed directly on top of the fish, which made them soggy and took away from the presentation. It would make much more sense to serve the fries on the side. Overall, the food is still good, but the long wait, confusion with the online order, and lack of attention to presentation make me hesitant to rely on the online ordering system again.
