The employee was really kind in helping me choose the right drink, I told her I like bold, caramel-type flavors. She recommended on this warm day for the "most-popular" since its my first visit. The drink was beautiful at pick-up (so beautiful I forgot to take a photo!), and I got the hype: coffee flavor was bold, mixed perfectly with the milk, and the brown sugar + miso flavors were at the bottom that you mixed yourself. All the flavors worked, but nothing to TRULY go out of your way for. It was good though! Miso adds that "nutty, slight salty" flavor like a "salted caramel" would do. Completely enjoyed!

The staff clearly recognized quite a few customers during the short time I was there to do a quick grab and go of caffeine. The staff was super friendly and took their time in helping me pick out a bag of beans based off my personal preferences and intent of use (cortados/lattes vs drip/press). Their beans are well priced at around $14 a bag AND you get a complimentary drip coffee with the purchase! I felt like a winner! I also gave their canned lemonade and coffee drink a try - because why not? It had a unique and almost chocolatey flavor. Not sure if I loved it personally, but the quality of the ingredients and flavors were distinctly there. Certainly will take the time to come back to test out the space for a remote work day or a casual outing. Big plus: They have a parking lot and the option of indoor and outdoor seating. The 40/40 West Coast IPA was the perfect pairing (I had two). The entire bar staff was incredible: Laszlo, Jeanette, Gigi, and Chelsea were all friendly, attentive, and made my last night in Austin unforgettable. Wish I could come back tomorrow!

Words cannot stress how much I love their drinks…read more Creature coffee was at my best friend's wedding and I could not get enough of it. I was only sad because they didn't stay longer. Their matcha has achieved the delicate balance of bitter and sweetness - how a matcha should taste. As someone who doesn't like the bitterness in matcha, their drink is "perfectly balanced, as all things should be" (Thanos). There are many variations of matcha - grassy, sweet, bitter, but their drink captures all the profiles into your cup. I hope they expand in Texas!

I can't say that the latte filled my mouth with explosive flavor and smoothness simultaneously. I do understand the high rating. Jessica, my barista, was super friendly. In fact, I forgot my debit card and had to go to the car to get it. She told me to go ahead and she would start preparing my latte. That element of trust was very welcomed . It's a small coffee shop next to Sugar Mama's that easily surpasses some of the bigger coffee shops in Austin. As a major coffee shop Yelper, I compare the taste and quality of a roast, the ingredients in drinks (house made syrups versus regular Monin, etc.) and service/ambience. Sightseer hit all three marks. The location is also super walkable and convenient. You can grab coffee and continue on your way to awesome restaurants and local businesses on South 1st or hit up Soco after.

I ended up hanging out for a bit to read a chapter of my book before heading out. It's the kind of place where you could easily get some work done, study, or just enjoy a quiet break with a good drink.

But I tried my 3rd package of Little City coffee, (shipped from this address on their website) and though good coffee, it is simply not a dark enough roast for my espresso. I tried Messenger Espresso the first time, many months ago and was underwhelmed. The beans were just not dark enough, shiny enough nor oily enough for the sort of espresso shot I like to pull. They made perfectly passable drip coffee in a pour-over, but I am a 99% espresso guy. Recently I took advantage of a 20% discount and rapid delivery (next day! Arrived on Monday, ordered Sunday!) to try the two darkest roasts offered, Grackle and Republic. Again, passable drip coffees, but not able to produce the thick rich crema and distinctive oily mouthfeel and toasted flavor notes I was looking for. Great fast to the door delivery and good prices (though for a 12oz package, compare carefully) and as I noted, pretty good coffee, but I will return to the Italian espresso (occasionally mixed 75/25 with French Roast) from my usual roaster Anderson's to feed my Gaggia Classic Pro.

Don't let the location fool you, when you walk into this warehouse looking shop, inside has some of the FINEST coffee you can buy. Joel's good buddies with all the best plantations and Brazil and prides himself on having first choice on all the BEST harvested coffees from these plantations. If you've had coffee at Spiderhouse, Uchi, Torchy's, and many other places around town, there's a good chance they're sources from Casa Brasil. Basically, if you like making coffee at home and not paying a premium for coffee at these shops/restaurants, you can order directly from Joel. They roast upon order so you definitely get the beans at it's freshest. The bags they come in are all hand-painted too. If you're not wanting to order from Joel or make a drive down south, you can find their coffee at your local Central Market.
