    Lexington Park - Picnic shelter

    Lexington Park

    (22 reviews)

How have I not given our local park the Yelp treatment yet??!?…read more Lexington was the answer to Oak Knoll being outgrown, we are a city of recreation and competitive sports, and if you build it, we will use it to its fullest potential. Lexington is proof! This park, at its core, is two large sized football/soccer fields that can be divided up for smaller league kid games. One field is natural grass, the other a composite. The entire park is well lit because of the night games that are played there, which makes for an overall inviting and safe experience - and I never see the park empty, it's always in use. Surrounding the fields are a running track that circles the distance of the park, a large playground area, seating for the parents, oh, a large set of bleachers for the FNL and soccer games. A workout area in the back with a circuit style set of arm/leg machines. Pickleball and basketball courts, a general area with covered seating for picnics and gatherings, and a large parking lot area that, although large, can be found filled on busy days. Overall this is a good park and a great addition to our cities lineup. We come here often to do sports or use their other various facilities. :)

We LOVE the walking track here! It is well lit. There is always a great energy with people playing…read moreon the fields, using the stationary workout equipment, back court that converts for different sports, and the playground. My only complaint is the playground is truly geared for older kids 2.5-3years + older. I feel with such a large project, the city of Cypress could have added a few other features to make it friendly for under 3yr olds - it's literally only 1 small slide for the littles - no steering wheel to drive, or any features to fidget with, or twist, turn, pull or other. I guess it was the last thing in their budget. All in all, it is a huge upgrade to the city of Cypress and we love walking here and that they have doggy bags for when our pupp finds a couple potty spots.

I'm so sad about the news that Amazon Fresh is closing!! I frequent this location and the Cerritos…read morelocation pretty frequently where I go to at least one of these locations 1-2x a week for groceries. This store particularly has great deals and the friendliest employees! I've never had a bad experience here and will continue to visit while they're still open. You'll be missed, Amazon Fresh!

I'm sorry to see that the physical store will be closing... I guess most folks prefer ordering…read moredelivery, and they will continuo to offer that but I like to browse the store. I always find amazing deals. I like to "shop small" and support local establishments, of course, but it's nice to earn points for my Amazon account as well as find almost everything I need at decent prices in one stop. The staff is always pleasant and helpful, too. Their hot and salad bars, bakery, pizza bar and hot chicken sections are gone already, as they are closing in two weeks, BUT I found today when I shopped that they had cut prices dramatically on many, many items that I buy, and from healthy brands that I like. I spent very little for quality food items. That was always a plus here - they carry the mainstream brands, their own brand, some of the Whole Foods 365 brand, and many organic and hard to find brands at decent prices. I am sorry to see yet another grocery store leave this spot, though there are others in the area. I will continue to shop for deals until they close, and I hope others will take advantage of it as well.
