Open 24 hours, perfect late night snack in a busy area! There is so much to do in the neighborhood but this quick service is one of the better options. The staff are so nice!

I ordered the basic poutine but fried extra crispy. Gravy has a bit of spice to it. The fries has an almost a curly fries coating. Service friendly and accommodating. Ambiance is its a hole in a wall. You eat and order on the sidewalk. When it gets late at night it caters to a lot of drinking individuals. I would feel like grasping my purse every 5 minutes if i came here at night. Minus one star bc its in a tough neighborhood. But tastes sooo much better than costco poutine.

Counter take out. Easy ordering and take it home. Never had poutine so just got the classic. Wasn't disappointed with my decision. But the meat lovers sounds good.

It was my go to spot for some warm poutine after a night of drinking. They are located on Granville street, right where all the bars and clubs are. It is a grab and go spot, don't have seating area. Recently I took a friend of mine who was visiting Canada for the first time to make her try poutine and I couldn't have picked a better place. I kept it simple and just got their classic poutine but holy moly it was so good!! I don't know what they do to make it so delicious. The fries were super crispy yet thick, there was enough gravy on everything so that it perfectly melted the cheese. For some reason, their gravy does not make the fries soggy. The service was also very fast, we got our order in about 5-10mins after placing the order. If you are ever in downtown craving poutine, this is the place to go!

Let me start off by saying I am not from Canada and have no knowledge prior of poutine, so take my review with that in mind. I was visiting Vancouver for the first time and really wanted to try Poutine and found this place on Yelp. The shop is small no dine in just a little counter to eat your food. It's no frills but it sure was yummy! The service was quick and the interaction was short. Nothing bad to say. If you're a first timer I think it's a great place to dive into poutine!

Mean Poutine definitely living up to their name by hiring the unfriendliest employee ever. Wow. Came by on 4/21 630pm and the female employee was wiping the glass. Ok, hi. I'll just look over the menu and take pictures since she's really focused on wiping the glass. Still wiping. Still wiping. Still ignoring me. I'm contemplating about walking away but then she finally asks what I wanted to order (no greeting/no expression on her face -a bit unnerving but fine. I just want a BBQ poutine with extra crispy fries/$12 I asked if I could have extra ranch, she said .50cents. No thank you. Handed my box and it's heavy. Take my pictures and dig in. No wonder it's heavy -mostly fries ! Barely 6 pieces of the tiniest curds. Meager sprinkling of bacon pieces and almost cold pulled pork -ew. The unfriendliest interaction with the most unappetizing poutine. No wonder locals just kept walking by without a second glance. Also 25 cents extra for extra fork and another 25 for a bag Unforgettable in the worst way.

    Classic, chicken and chili!

OMG THE POTIONS ARE HUGE! Fresh to order and quality matches quantity! This place is NOT fancy smanshy but you get so much bang for your buck! Services was efficient and friendly!

A burst of bold flavors for a solid snack!…read more We came for early lunch to try their wagyu and veggie dogs. There was a line but it went fast, we waited ~5 mins and received our dogs, lemonade, and fries within 10 mins. The wagyu termimayo dog was really flavorful, and the mayo/teriyaki/fried onions/seaweed balanced well the sausage. The veggie okonomi was also yummy with flavorful sausage, sauce, and cabbage (we didn't get the bonito flakes). We also ordered the butter and shoyu fries which were well-seasoned with a shoyu powder and didn't feel any more greasy with butter than regular fries. The yuzu lemonade was surprisingly refreshing, the yuzu flavor was natural, strong, and didn't overpower the lemonade. There is a station where you can get sriracha, ketchup, mayo, and pickled jalapenos on the side to customize your dog to your liking. The interior felt unique and cozy, while still being clean. There is a good amount of seating indoor and outdoor. Typical street parking. Wasn't filling enough to count for a full lunch for us, but a great snack bite!

The menu has a lot of options, but my favorites were the Wagyu Beef Dog (#11) and the Pork Dog (#1). Both were packed with flavor and loaded with the signature Japanese-inspired toppings that made Japadog famous. The combination of savory meats, sauces, and fresh toppings takes a simple hot dog to another level. Quick service, great late-night eats, and a Vancouver classic that's worth trying at least once.

This Mcdonalds is unique because there are no chairs and tables anywhere near the stand-alone mall…read morerestaurant. There are also no self-serve computer order kiosks. Eating in is not an option. Note that I came around 9pm on a Monday so maybe they took all the tables away earlier. Years ago when I visited this location, they had many chairs and tables just outside and inside the restaurant. Due to the awful area, a lot of homeless people were hanging around just sitting. Not necessarily eating. Now with the chairs and tables gone, there are barely any of them hanging around so I guess it's for the better. It didn't eliminate the problem entirely because as soon as I stepped out of the restaurant area I was asked a couple times by several people for a "rolling paper", extra change, or a lighter. Also, I noticed some of the windows of the restaurant were broken and boarded up with plywood. Yikes. It was VERY hot out (30 degrees!) So I decided to visit this McDonalds for a cheap but delicious frozen treat. I wanted to try their new peach smoothie but they ran out of it. I came later at 9pm so it's not surprising but it's still disappointing because I love peach smoothies. I settled for their strawberry banana smoothie. The smoothie I bought was delicious so I think it is very much worth it. It was refreshing and I could actually taste the strawberries and Banana flavors in it. In my opinion, a medium size is just enough to cool you down on an extremely hot day. Overall, their fruit smoothies are good! Good price too as it was "summer drinks day" time so it was only $2 for a medium one ($2.38 after tax and cup fee). Service could be better. There was a group of homeless looking people in front of me counting every dime, nickel and quarter to pay for their food so it took a really long time to wait to get my order in. There were 4 cash registers. Usually, another staff member would jump in and take another order using the other register but none came. Only one register was available and there were no self-serve kiosks. I had to wait 5-6 minutes to wait and get my order in even though there was only one order in front of me. Once I got my order in, it took a little longer than expected to get my smoothie, maybe 3-4 minutes. Usually it would take 1-2 minutes if it was not busy like this visit. I have a feeling that this Mcdonalds is either understaffed or just slow. Overall, I'd avoid this location if possible. Slower than expected service, and the type of people that are walking around in the area are not very, say, totally normal. Also there's nowhere to eat your food at the restaurant or near it. Kinda inconvenient. It's a decent grab and go place for the kind of stuff where you can walk and enjoy your food such as smoothies. Only giving 2 stars for the reasons stated above. I recommend you go to the slightly better Mcdonald's nearby instead. It's by Main Street - Science World skytrain station but only one short subway stop away from the Chinatown - Stadium Skytrain Station by the mall.
