What a delicious hainan chicken spot! I can eat hainan chicken, whenever and wherever and am so thrilled to find this spot! I ordered for lunch their speciality with extra ginger chili sauce. Absolutely wow! Highly recommend and am already salivating my return.

I've always wanted to try this dish, so based off the ratings, I came here. The staff and food were wonderful. The food came out promptly and was absolutely delicious. When back in NY, I'll definitely return here.

Yooo this little hole-in-the wall in West Village by Washington Square Park was probably the best lowkey meal I had while visiting NYC on my last recent trip! The Hainan thai style chicken plate was DELICIOUS. I still can't stop thinking about my meal here. It's a very small place and not a lot of seating, so if you have to take it to-go.. just take it to the park! Besides the food, the staff was so friendly too. Would definitely come back here!

Really good flavor!!! Very flavorful. Small restaurant but very fast service. Reasonably priced as well. Came here after a work event

Top tier comfort food and they serve one of the best Hainanese chicken rice in the city (equal to my other favorite, Lou Yau Kee). Both the roast chicken and the Hainan chicken are soooo flavorful and juicy and the accompanying chicken broth is great. I think I preferred the roast chicken slightlyyy more but both were really good. Portions are decent. Seating is limited here but it's right by Washington square park which is convenient.

Interior - love the chicken sculptures on the wall

The steamed chicken rice, roasted chicken rice, and chrysanthemum drink were excellent. Came out super quick. Thanks!

I'm not usually a chicken and rice person, but this place is amazing. Food is incredible; the chicken is so tender and everything is flavorful. The rice and sauce really made it pop. Soup is so refreshing; the daikon is the perfect touch. Service is friendly and quick, and the setting is casual. Although most people take their food to go, I like to eat in. The big window is bright and a great place for me to unwind during my break. I appreciate the many napkins and ample hand sanitizer they have at the front too, so you can quickly clean up and go about your day! If I could, I would eat here everyday lol. 10/10, can't wait to be back.

It's beautiful. Cheap and delicious. It's a take out vibe. Get it. On gem tier, would come again omg. YUM. Roasted chicken rice combo with daikon soup -- chicken was tender and yummy, rice soaked up the flavor, the soup was refreshing, and the side sauce was sweet and tangy and very light. YUM

Good chicken rice and affordable price. Will come back again Good service and doesn't have to wait for food.

The roasted chicken was tender. Only came with one type of sauce whereas other Thai chicken rice shops would have given me three types of sauce. The cashier wasn't too friendly. They get a pass for cleanliness for a tiny shop but not immaculate. Very small portion for so much money. Will not come back!

There wasn't a lot of seating, but this is the perfect spot to grab a personal, calm meal. The Fried Chicken Rice was ready and slid in front of me at my seat within 5 minutes of ordering. It was hot and felt like exactly the food I needed in the moment. The daikon soup tasted clean and yet hearty. The cucumber was refreshing. There were only a few slices, so I wish it came with more. There was also a generous portion of fried chicken and rice. The chicken rice was flavorful and cooked just right, not too soggy or dry. The fried chicken was crispy.

solid chicken rice place for a healthy meal at an affordable price for the neighborhood. i wish the portion was a bit bigger, space was cleaner, and ive seen the dish at 3/4 the price elsewhere, but this still hit the spot. the soup and radish were great and i enjoyed the small piece of chicken liver on the side. if i lived nearby i would definitely think about coming back every once in a while.

This place is so good and affordable! The hainanese steamed chicken with the sauce is so flavorful , comes with soup too. The wings are also delicious , little spicy seasoning and tangy. Such a fulfilling meal, I was able to share with my husband. It's a small place next to hey yogurt , staff is very friendly & order came out quick, I've been back couple of times already!

Not all midtown restaurants stay open past 10, and I was relieved to find their kitchen going strong at that hour, as well as their dining space, which was full. Turned out it was for good reason because their food was delicious. My friend and I were hoping to eat at a restaurant nearby specializing in crab, but they closed much earlier. Fortunately for us, SaiTong's menu had plenty of crab on it, and we decided to double up and make each of our entree's a crab one. The black spaghetti crab curry and crab curry noodles advertised themselves as being very different dishes in both presentation and ingredients but ended up tasting kind of similar. One was topped with deep fried crab and used a different type of noodle than the other, but the sauces were so similar. This is not to say that they didn't taste good, but I would've preferred more variance. I'm glad we got an order of papaya salad to cut the richness of the other dishes, and I also appreciated it had a nice level of heat in it. Our servers were really friendly without being overbearing, and let us linger for a bit even after we paid the bill, as it was their last seating for the evening. There are so many excellent Thai restaurants in the city and I'd put SaiTong firmly in the category of perfectly solid spots to get your Thai fix, with some special dishes on the chef's menu worth checking out.

Both of us were starving, and I had put in a birthday request at the restaurant, so we decided to stay. The ambiance is classy, and this would be a great spot for a business dinner or date night. I ordered a massaman curry with roti and chicken ($29), and my friend ordered the chuchi shrimp ($30) and curry puff ($16). Prices are a bit above average for the portion size, but justified by the area. We both enjoyed our dishes; the flavors were on point! Then, for my friend's birthday, they gave us mochi ice cream and a card signed by the staff! That was a nice touch that overrode the restaurant week debacle. Service was fantastic. As a Thai person myself and as indicated on their menu, it's the way most Thais eat this dish :) The fried egg added that rich, runny element that really brings everything together.
