Rokstar chicken has been one of my favorite Korean chicken spots--and one that I frequently ordered delivery from. However, I recently tried this shop in person and it was even better! Service is super nice, and pretty quick. Chicken portions were huge and so so crispy without feeling heavy. My favorite flavors from here are two that you can't find at any other spot--honey butter and mala. I will definitely be coming back more!

I'm a die-hard fan of Popeyes' spicy chicken sandwich, but Rockstar Chicken's version takes it up another notch. I absolutely love it. The spicy sauce has a subtle Asian-inspired kick--it's hard to put a finger on exactly what it is, but it reminds me of a sriracha mayo and really brings the whole sandwich together. It's one of those sandwiches you keep thinking about long after you've finished it.

By far the best korean fried chicken in Manhattan. Meat is juicy, the sauces are amazing and there are other types of foods to choose from besides chicken. Great place to come and eat/drink! The chicken sandwich is juicy and tender as well!

Was looking for a solid Korean fried chicken spot last time I was in Noho and Rokstar killed it! Will be back soon!

We walked in without reservation but Patrina was able to accommodate us and personally escort us to the table to be sure we are seated comfortably. Our wait staff Miles was very friendly and kind, attention to details. We wanted to start of with some white wines but could not decide which one, he gave us some recommendation and introduced the wine sommelier- Joe who is very knowledgeable and professional. We really enjoyed the wines he recommended and it paired beautifully with the seafood we ordered. The oyster and uni cold starter was a wonderful kickoff, and they surprised us with a compliment starter which was really refreshing! It's thine sliced salmon sashimi dressed lightly with yuzu and sesame oil. It's delicious and it's free who doesn't like that! We had chicken wings as hot appetizers, it was done just right! The divers scallop was also super light and delicious but the sauce was on the heavy side. We finished with the black cod clay pot which was a great wrapped up. What started as a quick break turned into one of our favorite moments of the afternoon. We ended up chatting with the bartender for quite a while, swapping recommendations for speakeasies and cocktail bars around the city. It's always refreshing to meet someone who's genuinely passionate about their craft and happy to share local favorites. The cocktails were excellent, and the conversation made the experience even better. This wasn't actually our first visit--we celebrated my birthday here about three years ago, and I still remember how impressed we were with both the food and its presentation. It was nice to return and be reminded why we enjoyed it so much. We also learned that 53 has opened a speakeasy downstairs that's open on select weeknights and features live jazz. Needless to say, that's already on our list for our next trip to the city. Whether you're stopping in for a full dinner or just a well-made cocktail and a break from the Midtown bustle, 53 is well worth a visit.

My boyfriend made a reservation here for 7:45 on a Saturday night and it was filled to the brim with people. The waiters were quick and the food came extremely fast. We ordered the tasting menu for the both of us and I can't emphasize how worth it is to do the family style tasting menu. It's only $75 per person and comes with multiple appetizers three full-size entrées and two desserts. Most of the menu items themselves range from $30-$70 so choosing this tasting menu is a no-brainer. Not only was the food a great deal, but it was also so so tasty. My companions enjoyed the lobster dish and the Chilean sea bass. We finished the meal with mango sticky rice. A beautiful dining experience from beginning to end. The grilled squid came very well presented and tasted amazing. It had some kick to it. No pun intended lol. I got to sample the pop corn chicken. I believe it was diced chicken thigh pieces. Very good idea. The shrimp egg rolls were crispy and delicious. The dan Dan noodles also had some spice to it. Loved it. The dumplings in hot oil of course are always one of my favorites. The fried cheese was tasty, the chicken skewers delicious. Wasn't anything that I did not like. Now the drinks that we ordered came out beautifully. Each one with its own personality. For many in the East Village, this has been the default takeout and delivery spot for years, and it holds up just as well when you dine in. The Beef Rendang Nasi Lemak is the order I keep coming back to. On a recent lunch visit I tried the Mee Goreng from the Lunch Set menu and it was the standout of the meal: savory from soy sauce and fish sauce, sweet, spicy, tangy, and smoky from the wok. The beef pad see ew has some of the best noodles I've ever had, the sizzling steak lives up to its entrance, the shrimp summer rolls are fresh, and the chicken laksa is full of flavor. The one miss was the Curry Laksa, where the lemongrass and curry never quite came together. Lunch sets come with a drink, and the Vietnamese iced coffee beats the Thai iced tea, bolder and less sweet. End with the mango sticky rice with coconut cream: warm rice, ripe fresh mango, the right way to close a meal. Prices are fair. Service is quick, efficient, and friendly. It's more of an eat-and-go spot than a place to linger. One heads up: there's a fee for credit card payments.
