The service here was quick because it was Subway-style. My boyfriend had questions about the steak because he was just curious and liked the steak, and the staff was friendly and helpful talking to him about the steak. The space was clean, quiet, and it was the perfect place to grab a quick meal. They also played K-pop. The Grilled Lemongrass Chicken was slightly dry, but I liked the flavor. I liked the Sweet Potatoes, and while they were soggy, I got hints of the previous crispiness it had when it was fresher. The Cucumbers were good but nothing special. They didn't have much of a kick, but they did have flavor. The Fried Tofu tasted like it was coated with curry powder. While the flavor was unmatched when paired with the Scallion Chimichurri, I quickly got tired of the flavor, likely just because I was hoping the tofu would be Taiwanese salt and pepper style. The brown rice was okay, not that rice is typically the highlight of a meal. As a white or fried rice fan, my opinion is biased and I found it lacking. I also tried the Korean Chili Aioli, which I liked but didn't find that it paired that well with anything I ordered.

Pretty good on the flavors . It's almost like the Asian Version of chipotle . I would definitely go back and try something else

This has got to be one of my favorite take out places in New York. The exterior is noticeable and has a great location in Chelsea. The glass windows are very transparent and the store front isn't too big. Walking in, you walk through a line where you place your order and they put it in your bowl for you. This reminds me of Chipotle but Asian style dishes and ingredients used. Overall, everything moved very quickly and I was excited to assemble my bowl. The portions are definitely on the decent size and the juices on the food definitely flow. Protein wise I'm a big fan of the steak and the chicken - sauce wise would definitely recommend getting their signature soy based sauce and scallion oil. The cook on everything was good and the flavor profile was my favorite part. Definitely will be back for more!

Food is good for a quick meal and some decent fusion options. The bowl is mainly a lot of rice on the bottom with two sides and a protein on top. Don't be fooled by the size of the bowl since it's most likely 60-70% rice and 30-40% everything else. Regardless it's a good portion size if you're not looking to stuff yourself. Service was fast and easy at the time we went and the ambiance was pretty casual. It's a good spot to go to after a workout or run.

Dry meat with oily chimichurri not good

Their steak is not medium rare and their chimichurri is so oily and the cup was half empty .

My Pickleball team just buried the alleged 1 seed "Its Kosher" 6 feet under Chelsea Piers. The Fermented Cucumbers are now 1-4 on the year, and we have our eyes set on the playoffs. We came into Som Bo post game as we needed a high protein meal to keep this train rolling. Sleep on a win and you'll wake up with a loss. I would categorize this place as an Americanized-Asian fusion chipotle like establishment. Me and my allstar teammate, Andrew Zhou, both opted for double chicken bowls. I got a base of half black rice and half sweet potato noodle, and for my two toppings I went with kale and corn. I'm an elite athlete. From the food to the staff to the interior of this place, it was a bit uninspired. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

Chili lime chicken was really dry. Staff was pretty not friendly and really not clear about only 2 sides and not getting any sauce. I only ate about a third of my food before I couldn't really take it anymore. Chipotle or Fle Fle Grill or some other proper Asian fusion establishment would be much better and worth the money.

Usually great, but last few times disappointed. This time again chicken wasn't cooked properly and don't feel like getting salmonella.

I've ordered here before and have gotten the chili Lime chicken bowl and it was great. This time around I tried their salmon bowl which came with tomatoes and eggs, sweet potatoe noodles, chili cucumbers which are delightfully spicy ... everything about the meal was great! Will be ordering again!

Stopped by to grab dinner to go. I got half black rice/half sweet potato noodles, beets, cucumbers and grilled lemongrass chicken. The warm sides didn't look that fresh or appetizing so decided to get two cold sides. I also got the edamame hummus with wonton chips. But everything just tasted greasy and lacked flavor (aside from the chicken), even the two sauces that you can pick were so oily.

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

We walked into a stylish but relaxed space that feels suited for both casual dinners and a night out with friends, with an atmosphere that balances energy and comfort well. The room gets lively when it fills up, but the noise level adds to the experience rather than detracting from it, making it feel like a place built for sharing and conversation. The food is where Hojokban stands out. The complimentary banchan sets the tone for the meal with flavorful sides that add variety before the main dishes arrive, each one thoughtfully prepared and offering a different texture or flavor profile. The gomtang soup is one of the more comforting options, bringing together tender meat, a rich broth, and classic Korean flavors in a way that feels hearty without being overly heavy. The galbi dishes are also a highlight, with the meat cooked well and carrying the sweet and savory balance that makes Korean-style grilled beef so enjoyable. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is noticeable across the board. The menu has several unique dishes worth exploring. The truffle potato pancake is one of the more memorable items, combining a familiar Korean staple with a richer, modern twist that adds depth without losing the essence of the original. The perilla oil noodles are another standout, offering a lighter but still flavorful option with a distinct nutty aroma that lingers on the palate. The beef tartare adds a more refined element to the meal, fresh and well seasoned, while dishes like the ramyun fried rice bring a fun comfort food element with bold, savory flavors. Together, the menu covers enough ground that you can build a meal around both familiar favorites and more creative choices. Service is friendly and the overall experience feels welcoming rather than overly formal. The staff are attentive without hovering, and they handle the busy flow of the restaurant with a pace that keeps the meal moving without feeling rushed. The menu is designed for sharing, and the portions make it easy to order several dishes across the table, allowing you to try more of what the kitchen has to offer. The lively atmosphere adds to the meal, making it a good fit for group dinners where the energy of the room matches the pace of the food. Hojokban does a good job blending traditional Korean flavors with a more modern dining experience. It is a place where you can come for familiar comfort food while still finding dishes that feel creative and different. If you enjoy Korean cuisine and want a restaurant with a little more personality, this is a spot worth checking out. It delivers a meal that feels both familiar and fresh, striking a balance that makes it easy to return to and explore more of the menu.

The restaurant has a modern and welcoming atmosphere, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everything arrived fresh and beautifully presented. If you're looking for a delicious Korean lunch in NYC's Koreatown, Jeong Yuk Jeom is definitely worth a visit. I'll be coming back to try more of their menu!

The galbi-jjim was perfectly tender like I could literally pull it apart with my chopstick. The addition of the rice cake, pumpkin, and pyogo mushroom were a nice touch. The soy sauce base was a little sweet and if you take a bit and pour it over the mushroom sotbap, it is soooooooo good!!!!!!! The mushroom sotbap is so umami. There is foie gras in it which maybe be in a little overpowering for some people but I really enjoyed it I could easily eat a whole bowl of their freshly made kimchi. It was perfect. Not too salty or spicy or fermented. Literally perfect!!! I actually asked for seconds. The cold cucumber broth was really refreshing Highly, highly recommend making a resy!! There were just a couple of things that kept this from being a full 5 stars. My 5 year old was required to order an entrée. We were planning to order one anyway, but I still found it a bit unusual. I also requested a birthday candle with dessert for our celebration when I made a reservation, but unfortunately the request wasn't acknowledged. Despite those minor disappointments, we had a wonderful experience. The food and service really stood out, and I would definitely bring visiting friends and family here. I'd happily return again 4.5/5.
