The ambiance they created in the restaurant was far above average and my group and I being from Florida found this as a very nice touch. This was by far one of the most delicious and best priced restaurants we've been to so far up north. Would 100% recommend to anyone in their right mind lol.

This place is easy to miss. The sign outside is hard to read and not very eye-catching. With the…read moreflags along the road, one might think it's a car dealer. Ah, but go when it's quiet and not only will the service be friendly and attentive, the food will sparkle taste buds and fill the belly. We went for dinner at around 6:30 and an early crowd was on its way out. Our timing was just right. Our drinks and food came promptly. But shortly after our entrees arrived, 3 different families came in one after another in parties of 8, 4, and 4, and they all ordered alcohol, i think margaritas because the guy who had taken our order was no sooner behind the bar filling out drink orders. There was only one other server. But the drinks... Yes to the margarita. Delicious and fresh, not with artificial sour mix but with real citrus. I had lemonade, which was fresh and not too sweet. And the food... yum. The salsa has a little smokiness (chipotle?) which made the chips go down way too fast. I ordered a vegetarian molcajete, a hot mortar bowl filled with rice, beans, and vegetables. I took the leftovers home and had the rest for lunch the next day. It was too big for me to finish at dinner after having the best tostones I think I've ever had at a restaurant. The tostones were perfectly crunchy on the outside and served over a pad of guacamole. The only thing i didn't like about the food were the flour tortillas, which i mostly didn't eat. I react to xanthan gum and guar gum and hence aware when foods contain them. These tortillas were too stretchy to not have one of these additives. But it's hard to get flour tortillas these days without it. (They do exist!) We will definitely be back. I hope they figure out the serving staff situation soon. I would be perfectly happy eating there if we had to order at the counter.

Cute location in a little downtown Main Street USA kinda area. Nice atmosphere. We went on a…read moreSaturday afternoon. Me and my husband, our daughter and her bestie. I had a burger which I split with my husband. We both thought it was really good, especially him. He kept raving about it. He had the flat bread with arugula and prosciutto (both of which I'm not a huge fan of), but I tried a piece and it was delicious. My daughter's friend had the regular portion of mac & cheese, she said it was really good. And my daughter had the gluten-free mac & cheese and a gluten-free Caesar salad, both of which she loved. So no complaints here and we can be pretty picky about restaurants. Definitely recommend. One point I'd like to mention is although the waitress was nice enough she wasn't super friendly. She looked like she didn't wanna be there. Lol. Other than that, great experience.

Small towns aren't always known for places that make you feel like you've had a night out. Canaan…read moreis charming, sure... but Railroad Street isn't exactly Times Square. And then there's Industry Kitchen. Somehow this place manages to feel completely at home in town while also giving you the vibe that you've stumbled into a great little spot in a much bigger food scene. It's warm, lively, and the kind of place where you walk in thinking "quick bite" and leave two hours later wondering why you don't come more often. The food has gotten better and better over the years, which is saying something because it started strong. The menu now hits that sweet spot where there's truly something for everyone -- great apps, excellent burgers and comfort food, and rotating entrees and specials that actually feel thoughtful instead of like menu filler. On our last visit we rolled in later than the normal dinner rush after a school event. No problem. We shared some of their reimagined flatbreads, a salad, and a few apps and it was exactly what we needed. The wings are fantastic. The bang bang shrimp might require a moment of silence. And the flatbreads are the kind of thing you order "for the table" and then quietly hope no one else notices the last slice. If you've been thinking about trying Industry Kitchen but haven't yet, go. It delivers way more than you'd expect from a quiet little corner of Railroad Street. And if you already go? Go more often. Canaan is lucky to have this place. And your dinner plans should probably involve it. I'm looking forward to trying more of their new pasta creations. P.S. Pro tip: ask them to double cut your flatbread. It turns it into the perfect shareable situation and saves everyone from the awkward "who's getting the giant slice?" P.S.S. Check out their new family tray meals. I hosted an event recently and ordered 2. Really great.

Something about the building is familiar. An old McDonald's building, painted & reimagined. But the shape, the floors match the McDonald's from the memory of your youth. They've upgraded the vibe to be "upscale fast food", comfortable & chic booths, a beautiful fireplace I'd love to cozy up near in the winter, a stunning bathroom. The menu is calculated, purposeful: local ingredients from farms & local suppliers listed on a chalkboard, seasonal elements utilized to create fresh, mindful meals. There's a burger, a chicken sandwich, mushroom melt, steak, seasonal salads. Their burger is juicy, well-structured, perfectly seasoned. Their tallow fries are the perfect amount of crisp and fluffy interior, truly delicious--a hand cut fry that fast food could nevahhhh accomplish. We loved the grilled peach, heirloom tomato & burrata salad. It was fresh, drizzled with balsamic and oil, peppered with togarishi. There were three workers there: all of whom greeted us warmly, made us feel like family. You can watch the chef, Nate, whipping up your food right behind the counter, locked in and serious about providing you with a supreme experience. Austin, one of the owners, rolled out the dough used for the fresh buns. We witnessed the makings of our meal, every step, right in front of our eyes. My only complaint is I don't live in millerton, and I know I will crave this meal time and time again. I wish I could be right down the road, when a burger craving consumes me. But trust that I will be back to visit & to try their other seasonal options, as well as breakfast and dinner. Thank you team for a wonderful experience!
