It was not my jam but could work for some. They offer real maple syrup from the White family for a $1.00 charge. I do not know if my MAPLE _________ latte had it or not, but it was too legit to quit. Not too sweet either. Clear maple taste. Whole milk requested. Served in a mug with quality java. RATING = A. The interior is country quaint basic and not going overboard but rather erring simple and open without crowding with stuff. The location is great at the bottom of the slope in downtown. APPLE FRITTER with MAPLE GLAZE: -- I would have preferred a plain cake donut or old-fashioned cake with maple glaze, but this was good -- semi-firm -- medium-sized -- moderate amount of maple glaze has authentic color and taste -- not a sugar bomb -- dark color to bread -- not soft inside, medium-soft inside -- up to medium sweet -- not oily or greasy, tastes more on "slightly" healthy style RATING = A- SFOGLIATELLE pastry: -- this clam shell looking pastry is filled with sweet ricotta cheese -- moderate amount of cheese -- lightly sweet -- tasty -- bread is semi-firm -- I am more of a Zeppole fan, but this is good RATING = A They have bags of Ethiopian coffee which is funny because everywhere we go we see Ethiopian coffee for sale lately. The last time was in September in Portland, Oregon.

Can't wait! It's a Lavazza pod machine. I repeat. The coffee at a coffee shop called "Espresso 59" in an ultra trendy high-end area where coffee is routinely selling for between five and eight dollars pull their shots using a Lavazza pod machine. A pod machine. Pods.

We came here for lunch today, and it was such a lovely trip down memory lane. Many years ago, when…read moreI used to visit the Berkshires with different friends and my family, I would stay at Peter and Meredith's Old Inn on the Green. Peter and Meredith also own this café, so returning here brought back some wonderful memories. One of the things I've always loved is their tuna melt--and I was thrilled to see that it's still available! When we walked in, Brandon, who was working behind the counter, greeted us warmly. He explained that brunch had ended at 2:30 p.m., but we could still order lunch. Brandon was incredibly courteous, personable, and helpful, and his friendly welcome immediately made us feel comfortable. My husband and I both ordered the tuna melt. And apparently, one wasn't enough for me because I ended up ordering a second tuna melt just for myself. Yes, I had two tuna melts for lunch--and I have absolutely no regrets. It was just as delicious as I remembered. We also purchased a package of coffee to take home and enjoy later. We arrived fairly late in the afternoon, close to closing time, so most of the tempting pastries had already sold out. Honestly, that just gives us another reason to come back soon--next time, we'll make sure to arrive earlier! I walked out happy, and completely satisfied.

One thing I really liked is that there's a small coffee shop right next door, making it easy to grab a drink and relax before or after browsing. It definitely adds to the overall experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff was friendly and helpful, and it never felt rushed. Whether you're a tea enthusiast or just looking for something different to do on a weekend drive, this is a lovely stop that's worth visiting. We'll definitely be back!

We reserved a private room for our lunch party, which made the whole visit feel relaxed and personal. We started with pots of Peach White Tea and Salted Caramel Black Tea -- both brewed perfectly and a great way to ease into the afternoon. For appetizers, the Tea Cheese Toasts were very yummy, but the Okonomi Tater Tots absolutely stole the show. Tater tots with okonomi sauce, Kewpie mayo, furikake, and scallions shouldn't be allowed to be this good. Our sandwiches -- the Croque Monsieur and the Teagan -- were delightful and well executed. And then came the scones. Warm, tender, and served with clotted cream and strawberry jam, they were the perfect finish. Service throughout lunch was impeccable, attentive without ever feeling rushed. After eating, we headed into the shop for a tasting and some browsing. The tasting room team guided us through Winter White Earl Grey, Rose Scented, Scottish Morn, and Pu‑Erh, helping us zero in on teas we'd love. The shop itself is beautifully organized, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We've been fans of Harney & Sons for years, and this visit reminded us exactly why we keep coming back. Great food, world‑class tea, warm service, and a destination worth traveling for. We love this place and will absolutely be back again.
