I went to McLeod Auto after a shady deal at Action Motors. Truth is, I should've stayed here to begin with. I came here first, but wanted to look around at other places cause I was afraid my credit wasn't good enough. Jaden was very nice and professional from the very beginning. I like that he was also honest when I asked him certain questions. After I was told to bring a car back to Action Motors, I got approved (for real) at McLeod Auto. I also like that they gave us a copy of all signed paperwork; unlike Action Motors. They said they had to mail us the copies (which I thought was very strange). I like that McLeod didn't take advantage of us in a desperate situation.

The day I found most damages, when changing out the ORIGINAL water pump, I saw structural integrity issues all around the right front.

So I went off and wrote a review way before I had made and had this one up, so I decided to take the old one down an update it prior! When I first purchased my 2018 Ford Fusion SE 2.5L Not only was extremely upset for a $10,000 - 12k up charge above MSRP for an base model that had nothing special to it. Single key fob, no remote start, no crazy heated seats, no sunroof lol and basic cloth seats. So regardless of the fact that they Up charged me like I was buying an All Wheel Drive V6 Ford Fusion... I have probably the most basic ford fusion available and they charged me like it's a special case... ALSO all the filters when I bought the car were BAD, and the body lining on the car was BAD, I was starting to tell this car had been through something but I negotiated verbally about issues I saw and when they brought out a different contract from what we agreed on with the damages I assessed about the bumper cracking and body lines they said they'd bring down the price, they never did. And it wasn't until I worked on my car as of recent removing the plastic cover around the right wheel well and removing a tire while changing the belts and water pump that I noticed a HUGE seem cutting into the frame... and In my head I said THATS THE SHAKING FROM THE DASH I KEPT TELLING THE DEALER!, shortly I asked my buddy to come over and help me out... before he walked up to the side with the tire off, he as a car tech at caliber collision notices issues all over... and when he makes it over and see my wheel well, all he can say is this should actually be illegal to sell something this messed up becuase your passengers could be more at risk to death thanks to your structural damage. All I can say to him is wow bro these dealers are villains...

The extremely nice lady running the office was 100% honest with me and let me know that they were extremely busy and had vehicles parked out in the street that they still needed to check out and it would be right at 2 weeks before they could check my truck out. She was pretty accurate with that timeline. They checked out my truck and got me a quote (their phones were having issues - so she worked with me via Text (which was awesome as I could handle this all the while continuing my work day!)). She provided me both a quote and ETA of the repair which I promptly agreed to. They had my truck wrapped up & ready for pick up just a few business days later. I picked my truck up and the same nice lady gave me a run down of my repairs and their findings as well as instructions that they put dye in my A/C system so if I had issues just give them a shout. I drove the truck home but still had concerns with the A/C. I texted her and she told me to drop the truck back off. Shortly after our exchange I dropped the truck back off - but had another lengthy discussion about what I was experiencing. Chuck's team took another crack at my problem (Basically the A/C had no freon leaks, and would at times take upwards of 30 mins to cool the truck off. It just didn't cool like it used to.) Within just a few short days - I was given my diagnosis - I wasn't crazy!! I received my quote & ETA of the repair just like last time and Chuck's team delivered once again! I definitely got what I paid for. And like many others - I am a satisfied/happy customer. Definitely my new go-to mechanic!

WHAT A RIP OFF! To make this long story as short as possible, I called Chuck's Garage and told them…read moreI needed to have AAA tow my truck there to see what the problem was. I told them that the engine starts, but was riding rough and acting as if it was going to cut off. I thought maybe I put some bad gas in it. My second thought was, maybe I needed a major tune up (since it's been a while). I agreed to pay them $102 to find out what the problem was. So, after they start looking at the truck, Andrew calls me back and says the mechanic has an "idea" of what was wrong with it; but needed to do a different diagnosis for an additional fee. They should've said this was a possibility from the beginning. He then told me that he "believed" it was a bad timing change/belt (or whatever you call it). He said the fee to do the second diagnostic was $600 (which was 6 hours labor). This second diagnostic was to check and see, but it wasn't guaranteed that this was actually the problem. When he gave me the cost of second fee, I immediately refused to pay it. Who has $600 to spend on a MAYBE diagnosis? If I agreed to do the diagnostic and that's not what the problem was, I would still owe $102 (for the first diagnostic to NOT tell me what the problem was)... WHAT?? I would also owe $600 (for the second diagnostic). If I then agreed to do the second diagnostic, it would be $700 plus $2300 to fix the timing change/belt. Well, I'm not rich! So I can't afford $700 on a hunch that may not even be the problem. When I told them what my truck was doing and why I needed to have it checked out, that should've given them a general idea of the few things that could be wrong with it. If the guy had told me from the very beginning that if would possibly need a second diagnostic, I would've refused the first diagnostic. I'm not a mechanic, nor do I know anything at all about cars. So, how was I supposed to know they wouldn't find the problem (which is why I agreed to the diagnostic test in the first place)? I just wasted money and one of my AAA tows for absolutely NOTHING. I guess they have to keep the money coming in some kind of way. Yeah, it's $102, but that's money that could've been used elsewhere. The truck is still not in running condition. So, I'm back to square one. Thanks a lot! IN RESPONSE TO CHUCK'S MESSAGE.. In the third paragraph, you say that I approved the diagnostic with my signature. Yes... I approved the FIRST diagnostic ONLY. I paid for a service I DIDN'T GET. It's not rocket science! Maybe you guys should be honest and let people know upfront that there's a POSSIBILITY you'll need to do additional/more expensive test. If you had told me this, I would've had you guys do the first test. Then, you wouldn't have my signature at all. LASTLY: Him explaining what the mechanic has to do to diagnose the problem with my truck is TOTALLY IRRELEVANT to the fact that I paid for them to diagnose it and they didn't. End of story...

I coasted into the parking lot next-door checked a few items and determine that I had absolutely no idea what was wrong with my truck. Thinking the worst that the fuel pump was bad in my truck. I walked over to the garage and explain my situation and they were happily willing to help and went immediately over to my truck. The next thing I see is my truck being pushed by several employees and pushed onto a lift. Four mechanics immediately want to work to try and figure out what was wrong with my truck. Unlike most shops, they actually took my input and were very receiving of the information that I gave them It took approximately 20 minutes to figure out that the computer had gone bad on my truck! Thinking the worst and thinking thousands of dollars I went inside and they called multiple parts shops and dealers to see if they can get the part. It wasn't available until the day. I was brand-new to the area and they were happy to give me a ride to the rental car company down the street. I called the next day and they stated that my truck would be done by the end of the day and that it would need to go to the dealer to have the computer flashed. When all said and done I was expecting a bill much greater than $1000 and was pleasantly surprised when the bill was just slightly over $600. They had to tow the vehicle, had for mechanics working on it for over two hours and get the parts and a dealership have to flash the computer and then bring it back. They were extremely fair very courteous and upmost they were honest. They could've taken me for a lot of money but there is still some integrity left in the world. I highly recommend Al's for any of your auto needs and I will be back. Thank you to everyone that took care of my car and took care of me. David Brown Blue 2002 Suburban

After a lot bruises, scraped knuckles, some blood, sweat and tears I gave up. I started looking for a mobile mechanic. I was worried about having to wait a week for someone to come out here. That's what happened with the last guy I called to help me in a similar situation. After not showing up, then rescheduling twice he finally got to my house. His own tools actually broke while he was using them and ended up borrowing some of mine. I wasn't looking forward to another experience like that one. And being female, I'm a little leery of letting someone else work on my vehicle. I've had some not so pleasant experiences with men who thought I was clueless. I got tired of the bs stories. I started do my own maintenance and repairs. I haven't paid anyone to do anything to any of my vehicles since 1996. I called a few mobile mechanics on the list before I got to Ryan's name. He's the only one who actually answered the phone. He told me he could be here in 40 minutes. I was ecstatic! He showed up when he said he would be here. He is very friendly, has the tools needed to do the job and gets it done right away. I'm especially happy to report that Ryan didn't try to tell me stories about problems I know I don't have! Six hours after talking to Ryan, I still hadn't heard back from anyone I reached out to before him. I was about to post this review when I got an impersonal text message from one of the other mechanics I reached out to. "I can come tomorrow if you haven't gotten it already." That's it. No name, no "Thank you for contacting me", "I'm sorry I missed your call"... I'm keeping Ryan's name and number in case I need help again. Thank you Ryan!
