New owners, but same rude front office ladies- Time to find another Pediatrician Office- called today and the young lady who took the call was hard to hear, took a long time to update records so I could make an appointment for a physical appointment, and became annoyed when I tried to hear and understand her asking me about collecting medical records should my son get treatment anywhere else.. Finally, at the end of the call she just hung up on me after confirming my appointment. Next call, cancel appointment and find another place where courtesy and customer service matter. Maybe if enough patients leave this practice they will pay attention to the front office rudeness. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Daniel Vernier. He is kind, asks plenty of questions to get to know your child, and seems to take his time to give a good experience for mom and child. The front desk staff needs training in customer service and phone answering/scheduling BASICS. They do not do their job well. Main reason for my review is Dr. Joe. I saw her recently and she took barely 1 min to check up my boy who was feeling bad and complaining of a sore, ringing ear. She looked in his ear and listened to his breathing, looked in his mouth. The basic things. She basically said just give him allergy meds as she got up and got ready to leave. I said like what, and she said Zyrtec. And then her body language was already posed to leave. She asked: " Any other questions?" I was dumb founded... wow that was a waste of my time. I was upset, this was her first time seeing my son ( since Dr. Vernier was booked) and she took no time to get to know her patient. It's taken me 8 years but I've finally had enough of this damn office that I'm here leaving a shitty review & looking for a new doctor for my children. I don't know where to even begin, but over the 8 years I have been taking my kids here.. nothing has changed or improved- unless the fancy new ownership counts. The front office is rude af, disorganized, & never seem to know which way is up when it comes time for appointments, the nurses have been great in the past.. but I've been really disappointed by the lack of empathy and overall attentiveness. They very much just go through the motions.. hardly any interactions with the children, no smiles, no nada. Not the right staff for a place meant for kids. The doctors overall have been good.. which is the saddest part about this review. The doctor I saw today however, ruined the office for me for good. I brought my two year old in (who has never been sick before) for a high fever, coughing, chills, congestion.. your typical flu/viral symptoms... This doctor not only complained about us being there to my face ( the exact words while looking at my son was: oh is this (name).. well I guess they're just going to keep sticking more people on my schedule today.. it's been long enough". UH OKAY.... but then proceeds to do a half ass job at attempting to diagnose what was going on with my son. I requested a Covid and Flu test and was told that he didn't need to be tested. The doctor did notice a small rash on his ankle and then decided to unofficially call his illness ruebella.... and said, I could be wrong.. he'll probably be fine though. But again, I could be wrong. WHAT THE HELL. Last but definitely not least, I then got a little lecture about the Covid vaccine and how I should have already gotten it, etc etc, fear mongering, etc etc.. and we'll probably get sick now anyways... Please don't waste your time. These are not professionals. Dr. Joe walked in for 5 minutes and gave her diagnosis. My sister came in with extremely large and swollen lymph nodes on both sides of her neck, a sore throat, and stated she was in pain. Dr. Joe touched one side of her neck looked at her throat and inside her ears all in a matter of 5 minutes. After doing so she proceeds to tell us that she's going to call it "swollen lymph nodes" said she's going to recommend some antibiotics and hopefully it will go away. No tests were done and no effort or explanation of what is going on. Extremely unreliable. We are self pay and no tests were even offered. read more

I love the doctors here. However, just as everyone else mentioned a few of the nurses and ladies at the front desk are rude and unwelcoming. We had one nurse LAUGH at my four year old for crying because she had to get shots and asked her why she was crying. A little empathy and encouragement from her could've changed the entire experience for my daughter and made it a much more positive experience. I don't understand why people choose to work with children or people in generally if they clearly do not like them! If you can look past the unwelcome receptionists and rude nurses, the building is clean and the doctors are friendly and attentive and the wait time isn't long at all! I'm happy to have found a doctors office that I feel comfortable bringing my kids to! I'd give 5 stars if people were friendlier! read more

Dr. Neal is an amazing doctor. I have never had a problem getting a same day appointment. However the office staff is extremely cold and unfriendly. Also I have had prescriptions either not sent to the pharmacy or the wrong prescription was sent. read more

For her newborn check up he was just throwing her around and she was screaming her head off. I couldn't even focus on what he was telling because I was so angry. Will never go back! read more

I originally gave McKinney Pediatrics 5 stars, but have chosen to update my review. I want to start by saying that Dr. Neal is amazing! He is very calm, patient, and will take time to answer any questions you have. The office staff, however, is consistently rude and unhelpful. We hate to lose Dr. Neal, but are seriously considering a pediatrician with better overall customer service. read more

I switched primary care doctors from this pediatric office. The chairs in the waiting room are always dirty and stained. I don't like sitting down. I would take the time to fill out this lengthy form about my child's development and no one ever looked at it or informed me of my child's progress. My child was due for a hepatitis booster, but no one ever told me. I discovered it upon switching to a new pediatrician. Now we are two months past due, which isn't a big deal, but I should have been informed I needed to come back. I LOVE Dr. Lessner, but sadly I could only come to appointments on a day she wasn't routinely in the office. I don't fault her for that. Other things I have noted, no one wears gloves when doing exams. They would touch my child's genitals without gloves, and put their hands in my infant's mouth without gloves. The new pediatrician we switched to uses a flavored tongue depressor. Maybe this office should get some. They also never made my child feel comfortable. They just performed their exam without talking to my child and playing with him, He would scream and cry because it was scary for him when a stranger is touching and prodding him. My new pediatrician takes the time to be silly and show him the tools before using them. He didn't cry one bit. The wait is long. Not getting back to the room, but for the nurse and doctor, it took some time, depending on who you saw. Lastly, I needed a referral based on my insurance. They were somewhat condescending and it took awhile to get the referral. If you need a referral with your insurance, plan ahead. During the process, they updated someone else's child's account with my email. I kept getting this patient's emails from their office. I had to call and tell them about their mistake. read more

This place has the rudest front end people I have ever met. They have over charged me 3 times and have not billed correctly to insurance now twice. I have 3 friends who all started around the same time and unfortunately I am the last one their as they have found other pediatricans. My husband and I have 2 children and to get in is not a wait and they are quick with rushing you in and out of their. The problem is how rude the staff is and unprofessional. They do not care about your child and will simply have you in and out the door as fast as possible and will start sending you payments and it is a huge HASSLE. Did I say Hassle trying to clarify with the doctor and the staff on what is going on. Also dont expect answers to lab work quickly or what they recommend. I had to call 10 times to finally get a answer for a specialist. I have been taking my son and daughter 6 months to long. read more

Amy the PA is amazing! I need to say that first because I do not like leaving bad reviews but this office staff is down right rude, even to children. I have dealt with them being rude and short to me for years but I do not take kindly to it being directed at my children. I have been using them for 11 years and at the last visit one girl up front was so rude she made my 4 year old cry. No, she was not misbehaving, she asked the lady a question. Her demeanor, tone of voice and reply were just plain mean. Why work in a pediatrician's office if you do not like people or children? I will reiterate that Amy the PA and the actual nurses are great and I would recommend them to anyone. The front office staff needs an overhaul. Doctor Vernier was rude when I asked questions about my baby. He blamed every thing I asked on him not sleeping through the night. My son had been pulling on his ears and he would not even check her ears for an infection. Then when I went to check out the front desk girl asked me if I needed a note to go back to school. Last week my son had to receive a staple for a wound. When we went to the office to get it removed, the doctor was anything but gentle. The doctor asked me if he should put on gloves or not. When he went to remove the actual staple, he did not tell me or my son he was doing so.This then caused my son to panic and freak out. When my son tried to climb down off the table, the doctor did not move out of the way so my son wouldn't get caught on the side of the table. The doctor just sat there and watched my son try to find a safe place. I then grabbed my son up and held him close while the doctor removed the staple. The whole experience was traumatizing and I felt stuck with this doctors care at the visit. I didn't feel like I could get any help from the nurses or other doctors. I will NOT be going back there or referring anyone to go there. read more
