I eat lunch at this McDonalds at least once a week. The service is almost always fast, and the workers are friendly.

I've stopped by this location every once in a while for years. If you go there during the day, you should be fine, but once that night crew clocks in, I've seen anything happen. They really be goofing off, letting the line back up, getting orders wrong, closing dining or the whole place early. I swear it's new workers same attitude every year too. I really do feel bad for that one maybe two kids that work the late shift and put a little effort in. I don't care to admit how many times I've rolled through this McDonald's drive-thru in the last few months. Hence, I never Yelp check-in. My shame-burgers are my shame-business. But I can guarantee you that I am well-acquainted with this drive-thru to write a fully authorized first-person review. We moved about a year ago, and this McDonald's has become my preferred most convenient McDonald's location. There is a McDonald's a bit closer on Harlem, and a few others not much further than this one, but this Main St. store is more reliable than all those. My shame-eating of burgers at those other locations is still my business, but trust me, I know. The drive-thru service here is perfectly fine. Some window attendants are more friendly than others, some are simply there, but they are all nice enough and get the job done. My order is taken accurately, and if there is a line, it typically moves at a reasonable pace. During pandemic times, all clerks here have been masked and gloved. Masks are worn appropriately, from what I have seen. The food at this McDonald's is solid McDonald's chow. I always stick to the cheaper side of he menu, usually with $2 double cheeseburgers and $1 large diet Cokes. The burgers are served warm, with consistent quality. They have that quintessential, unmistakable McDonald's flavor profile. You like them, or you don't. I like them. I think they are laced with shame-addicts, that keep me in the drive-thru line, more than I care to admit, as aforementioned. When I'm being good, I'll go months without coming through this McDonald's drive-thru. But when I'm in a shame-eating funk, this McDonald's drive-thru fuels my shame-fire. The McDonald's app deals are great savings, the service is friendly and fast enough, and the food is consistent. So I'll see you in the shame-line ... just don't make eye contact. read more

I rarely go to any McDonalds anymore. The food is bad and expensive for what you get. Unfortunately I had to get something quick this afternoon at about 1:00. My bill was $9.00. I gave the guy at the drive thru $20.00. He gave me back 7 singles and the rest in quarters. At least half of them end up spilling out of my hand on to the pavement during the exchange. He shut the window and ignored me. I wasn't about to get out and crawl under my car. What's the deal, you can't give me a $10 and a $1? It's McDonald, but with a giant play ground. This place renovated this year and their play ground, we now often bring our kids here to get a quick meal while kids could have fun here. Our favorite meal is Happy Meal and quarter pounder. Recently they had two kiosks installed, I tried the other day, very convenient, if you want to use coupons, you still need to go to the counter and order from there. Ok, I never set foot inside this Golden Arches so perhaps five star quality table service is provided to customers. Maybe, there is a quintet playing uplifting music to inspire great thinkers. But, the drive in experience is ULTRA SLOW even when there are no cars in line. This Mickey D's is the most convenient one to me so I have driven through the line on more than one occasion with each slow experience apparently designed to provide restful moments in my car. Today I hoped for a different experience. No cars in line ... A quick transition with the drive in speaker and the cashier window but then I had to pick up my food. Coffee was waiting (As it should be since my order immediately pops up on kitchen screens once the words are out of my mouth.) but something about the young man's vacant look told me that my food wasn't there (And, it wasn't even though my order wasn't complicated ... Egg McMuffin & Sausage Burrito). Of course he didn't say anything to me ... I watched him go back into the restaurant & waited. And, I waited ... When the food arrived he almost threw the bag at me. No apologies ... No have a good Ronald McDonald Day ... Just a bag. Arriving at my eating location I found the burrito to fit the eh formula (no sauces were offered. Sir, I'd like the hot sauce please.). The Egg McMuffin had a nice blackened edge to the muffin ... That explains the slow delivery because it takes longer for blackened food. Sigh ... If you think all chain restaurants are the same, think again. Compared to my local Mickey's on Kensington, this Main Street, Williamsville location was an eye opener. Fast, clean and efficient, this was the first time in a long while that my order wasn't messed up. I've noticed that all the Mickey's in my neck of the woods are located in clumsy to access locations. This one, unfortunately, is no different in that regard. It may have a Main Street address but you actually have to access the parking lot from Union. And Main/Union can get crazy-busy at rush hour. Traffic is actually the only reason why the Kensington location gets any of my business. No matter. Once I parked my car, I went in to find a cheerful person waiting to take my order. A far cry from the surly people on Kensington. Then before I could even walk over to grab some napkins, my order was ready. Suspicious of any possible mistakes, I peeked in the bag and was delighted to find that everything was there. Bottom line? Different locations offer different fast food experiences. Maybe it's the management, maybe it's the staff. But I've definitely learned that, traffic aside, it's worth making the journey to this main/union location. read more

Just tried going today. There were people inside the building at 4 cars in drive thru. They let us sit there while they were walking around not even bothering to tell anyone they were closed. One of the slowest McDonald's I've encountered. I've been to this location many times (15 maybe) and each time they are always dead and take about 8 minutes to get me my food. I end up putting my car into park I sit so long. Keep in mind...it's dead. 1 person inside maybe and me being the only one in drive through. At this point, I'd point the finger at management. The food is well ... McDonalds, nothing special. The employees were young and most of them are just there for a paycheck to blow at the mall. My disappointment was with the inside and overall lack of a remodel since probably 1985! (No joke). This McDonald's was so poor in appearance and felt old, dingy, and felt lifeless of energy. Everything inside was dated, the pictures were old and gross looking and it had no character of modern times (some of the chairs were kids modern) We assumed it was at least a decent restaurant given the location, we were sadly mistaken. Ok, so everyone knows what McDonald's is like. It is the fast food giant that sets the standards by which all other fast food is compared. It is the master of mass production, the target of health critics, the leader of low quality. However, I still rate this a 3. Why? I'm rating this in context of fast food. Comparing this to a 5 star gourmet restaurant would be like comparing apples to elephants. Here's my story: The service here is fairly quick, the food is consistent, I customized my order with no ketchup, no cheese, and extra pickles and they obliged. The place is clean and I was perfectly happy spending my lunch there. They also have wifi. It's a solid example of a fast food restaurant. For the record, I got a grilled chicken club meal with orange juice, and also a daily double without ketchup and without cheese, and a mcchicken sandwich. I've been to this location a few times, and while the food has always been fine. The customer service here is atrocious. I did tell myself after the first time, I wouldn't be coming back ... but I stop here when I'm visiting a friend, who works one block down, to bring her breakfast/lunch. The drive-thru line looked a little long, so I thought I might get taken care of faster inside. I've never been so wrong. In fact, I was still waiting, as 4 people in the drive-thru got food before me. I put my order in via the kiosk, and waited for 10 minutes before my food was ready. I ordered a burger and fries. That's it. It took 10 minutes for one burger and one large fry. As I was standing there, 3 people who were dining in, came up to the front to tell them they messed up their order, and either got the wrong order completely or things were missing. I get it. It was Saturday during a breakfast rush, but then why were more people not scheduled to work that day? Three workers (one being a manager) walked right by the front counter, and didn't acknowledge anyone. No one even said, sorry we're running behind. There was no, we'll comp you anything for keeping you waiting. In fact 2 people came in behind me and I told them, they were better off walking out and ordering via the drive-thru, because it appeared that drive-thru customers mattered more. All in all, it was a very horrible experience. Wait time was ridiculous, but what made it worse was that no one seemed bothered by the fact that they had several upset customers. This location should be known as "Dumpy Donalds" it was my first time here and this building would scare any first timer off of fast food FAST! The crew was friendly and none of this is there fault. The interior ceiling has many brown stains, the wallpaper is way beyond dated and dingy, some of the windows are fogged especially the big one with the arches on it. The floor has so many dirt catching grout lines it can't possibly be cleaned. The furniture is 80's style, mismatched and in poor shape. Shabby shabby place. read more

I went through the drive thru at about 10PM. I ordered 2 fillet O Fish and 10 Buttermilk tenders.. The csr was very friendly and said it would take about three minutes to finish off the tenders, and would I mind pulling up. He would then bring them out. He did was very pleasant and told me to have a good night... I got home.. after paying $23 and change for this I received a box of 4 tenders that I figured must be the ones that had been ready in other words not really fresh looking. and in the 6 box.... I got crumbs.. the ends of some and the ones that were whole were about a half inch thick, The fillet of Fish were good. I have taken pictures and am taking them back in the morning,,,, read more
