I was tempted to give this 2 stars but..... the food is usually pretty good. Fries are usually fresh. What I have a problem with is how I am always asked to pull to the parking lot or the side of the building (in the way of other customers, mind you) because they want to keep their order time low. Meaning they essentially want to cheat the system to make it look like customers are getting their food super fast when they're actually getting it super slow. I have gotten in fights. Literal fights with other people made to wait in the tiny parking lot along with me. One time someone parked right behind me... the LONG WAY... and just sat there blocking me so I couldn't leave when I (finally) got my food. I asked them politely to move so I could back up and they had a conniption fit. I'm so sorry, my DELOREAN is in the shop!!! Anyway, this happens literally every time I go there with the pulling people over and even if you order something small like a happy meal they will still pull you over. And what do you get when every customer is told to park in the parking lot or on the side of the building? I'm from out of town I visit here to the area to spend the weekends with my son. We go to this McDonald's time to time because it's right there next to the hotels and it sucks every time it's unbelievable that something can be that consistently bad and I'm from another state every time I come it's bad. From waiting 20 minutes (no exaggeration) for a simple order, to the order being wrong, *slow and wrong* to the food not being fresh at all when served. *once you taste fresh then go here you notice the difference immediately*. When you go to Chic-fil-a, Arbys, Burger King, they get it right for the most part. It's simple. Usually I don't fret to much about a McDonald's run but this place in particular is embarrassing. Not that anyone checks Yelp to see what McDonalds is finer cuisine than another restaurant, but I drove through tonight and had to leave a review. I ordered half dinner items and half breakfast food, and it took about 20 minutes to get the McMuffins to complete my order. I went inside after they asked me to pull past the window because I thought they lost my order. When I cited the time after getting my food at the counter, there was no apology-just "I did not work the drive through" and "it takes a while to make eggs." Went through driveup last night. I was third car in line- the experience took me 27 minutes. Only asked for plain burger. Staff in window unbelievably rude. This place needs new management or they should shut down. I hope that a Sonic goes in soon on Riverdale Road. This McDonald's is probably the slowest in the area. About once a month, I grab a quick coffee or breakfast sandwich on the way to work (about 6:45AM), and I try to avoid this one, though sometimes that is not possible. The other day I was waiting for my (very basic, easy) order, with only two singly-occupied cars in front of me, for what seemed like eons. I understand that some things take time, but this is ridiculous, and it does not matter whether the drive-thru or walk-in service are utilized, nor the time of day... though I would assume during busy times the lack of speed is basically excruciating. Why three stars instead of one? The gentleman who works there in the morning, whose name I did not catch but you would know him if you saw him, who is the HAPPIEST, FRIENDLIEST service professional I have ever encountered. I have mentioned him to a few people and they know EXACTLY whom I am talking about, as I am sure some of the people who read this do, as well. Had my one year old daughters birthday here. Was one of the best parties I've personally ever been to. All of her friends were able to fit in the restaurant and all for one low price. There was even a friendly raggedy looking fellow in the corner who was fast asleep giving the kids something to laugh about. If you ever need to throw a last minute party this is the place to go. Then all you have to do is order a kids meal for your son/daughter and not the other kids and you won't even have to worry about a present! Its the full package! After dinner mints are also provided in these neat little dispensers in the restrooms. Only problem is there is only one so you may have to ask an employee for more. read more
