Cafe Tamra feels like a place the neighborhood has been waiting for…read more There's something immediately familiar about it. It's a small-town, home-grown answer to Starbucks, a little emotionally warmer and more personal. You get the same easy permission to be there however you need to be. The quick in-and-out coffee run and the long, unhurried stay for a study session or catch up with friends are equally present, with no pressure to justify either choice. The space is beautiful in a way that settles you. The space feels lush and sunlit, verdant and golden, with a modern ease. My mom and I lingered over lattes, giggled over photos of oddly shaped potatoes, and soaked up the sunlight coming through the wall-width windows, the warmth of the sun contrasting the view of winter's snow. This is now a sacred memory. The sandwich menu is concise and thoughtfully balanced, and the side offerings are an unexpected delight. Chips, pickled vegetables, and a handful of walnuts that make the plate feel like an adventure. (A brief question about allergies upon ordering would be a helpful touch.) The lattes are comforting, varied, and genuinely lovely, made with intention, not performative. I had the Spanish latte (which I assume was named for its thick accent) and my mom had the hazelnut. The latte art was delicate and pretty. That touch never gets old. There's a palpable newness to the place, a sense that the rhythms are still finding their natural flow. The ordering process and staff interactions haven't quite settled yet, but it reads as earnestness rather than awkwardness. Like a sweet newborn giraffe, Café Tamra is sweet and innocent, wholeheartedly endearing, and still learning its own cadence. I am rooting for its success. Cafe Tamra already feels poised to become a neighborhood constant. It is familiar, friendly, and quietly grounding. The kind of place you don't rush through, even when you're just grabbing a coffee. I will happily be back.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon with a friend to check out this place. I parked on the street…read moresince their little parking lot was full. The exterior is adorable! It's an unassuming building but they've made it very cute! They have painted the brick around the bottom to look like stone as well as a continuation of the awning painted around the top. The inside is just as interesting. There is a huge wooden map of the world on the wall, a piano, and the lights over some of the tables are made from teapots. There is a large bar in the middle and plenty of seating. This place is larger than it appeared from the outside. The menu offered several types of teas- white, green, herbal, black with several different flavors within each type of tea. I chose a tropical white tea. It came out nice and hot with a packet of honey. My friend ordered a sweet crepe with mixed fruit. She loved it! I decided to try their unique offering of 6 mixed pancakes. It included 4 savory pancakes (beet, zucchini, squash, potato) and two sweet pancakes (Oladi, farm cheese). One of the sweet pancakes was fluffy but dry and flavorless. I think it was the Oladi. All of the other pancakes were excellent and the service was flawless. What a cute place with great food and service! I'll definitely be back!

We had their Columbian air roasted coffee, which was so creamy and light. They have a never ending selection of tea. Their home made bagel is better than most. The hash browns are crispy, a little on the greasy side but exploding with flavor! Oatmeal was very good with freshly diced apples to order. Our waitress Monica was beyond welcoming and knowledgeable. She made us feel at home. The low dinning table with low seated sofas made us feel very cozy. It's not very often you can cuddle up and enjoy a meal as if you were at home. The Eastern European food and ambience is as authentic as it gets. All I can say is... I'll be back

I had just seen Donut Dip pop up in an online article as the best donut place in Massachusetts and so I had to stop. Donut Dip is an old school donut shop, a large selection of a wide variety of flavors are on display. The short line moved quickly and I ordered an Apple Fritter and a Chocolate topped custard stick for the road. The price was a bit higher than I expected but the donuts were big and looked great and I wanted some food for the road so I didn't have to stop. The Apple Fritter was good, however it seemed to be a bit light on actual apple piece and while tasty it just wasn't anything special. The Custard stick was excellent, the custard was rich and luscious which nicely balanced the perfectly fried donut, the topping was thick and chocolaty giving the donut an old school feel. Although I didn't have a long visit I would say that overall Donut Dip has very good to great donuts. The shop feels classic and if I was nearby I would love to try some of the other flavors. Well worth a stop to check them out.

Very cozy old fashioned donut shop. As a donut lover, I had to get one of my faves (old fashioned) and I asked the staff for their recommendation and went with the honey cruller. I'd actually never had this before but my husband and I both took a bite and decided it tasted like sweet corn dog breading and we weren't mad at it! This spot was tiny and bustling but they move the line quickly. Not in Springfield often anymore but would recommend it to anyone in the area! No indoor seating and a small parking lot in the back.

The coffee was good but not much better than what I can make at home which was not what I was expecting for a coffee roaster. I also tried their RED ROOIBOS TEA. It reminds me of a very strong hibiscus. Too floral for me. I do love their environmentally friendly to go cups. The shop is very unique. Very much a gypsy vibe. Like a fusion of an abstract art exhibit meets a hippy college dorm room, meets a cafeteria, meets a bazaar. It is collaborated with a few businesses ("The Urban Food Brood"-"Corsello Butchery"- "Happy Man"-Forest Doe Botanicals"-"Nosh Restaurant & Cafe"). A very supportive community. The seating is very cozy but awkward. Great place to meet up with friends or make new friend. They also have cold brewed canned coffee with unique flavors as well. All in all. Not too shabby my friends.
