We are on a long road trip and the play place will allow our little guy to get out at stretch his legs. Where do I start? Everything was completely filthy. Food from customers were still on tables and all the tables were absolutely disgusting. Nothing had been whipped down in hours. I found this to be odd since it seemed like employees were chatting/gossiping. Another parents nightmare was the play place. The wipes that are supposed to be there were completely empty and seemed like it had been for a long time. Inside the play area had food crumbs, spilled ice cream, hair; human and animal that stuck to my child's shorts. I had my own wipes so I started attempting to wipe things down. The wipes turned brown. The bathroom in this area has a soap dispenser that's no longer on the wall. I attempted to pick it up and get soap, but the automatic dispenser did nothing. Honestly please do not be tricked by the fact there is a play place here, unless you are okay with your child climbing around in other people's filth. I guess at least the little guy enjoyed himself.

We had an unfortunate experience this past weekend. I had scheduled a birthday party for about 45 guests at a local venue with a private room. About one hour before the guests were to arrive I received a call from the venue saying there was a catastrophic electrical failure and the facility had to close- including the kitchen, bar, and restrooms. I was now faced with 45 people milling around a closed facility waiting for a decision on how to continue the celebration. My stress level was the highest on record. I was considering a few places to move the event to, but being 6PM on a Saturday night I knew the chances were slim. It was then I thought of Steaming Tender and gave them a call. The hostess who answered was incredibly compassionate and spent a tremendous amount of time with me on the phone. She assured me that they would be able to accommodate us and started to reserve several tables. The entire group arrived about 25 minutes later and we were all greeted like old friends. We had to wait less than five minutes for the tables to be arranged and menus distributed. The evening couldn't have gone better. The food was as excellent as it's always been and the waitstaff was incredibly attentive. The guests were amazed at how quickly we were taken care of, and the quality of the food and service. The drinks were made perfectly and the food was served hot. About two thirds of the guests had never been to the Steaming Tender and were saying they would be returning. Kudos to the entire staff and management of the Steaming Tender at their professionalism and compassion at saving us from a total disaster of an important event. We will always be grateful and will continue to extend our recommendations. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

It seemed as if most people on the patio were there for the trains. We were able to watch an engineer switch tracks so he could pick up a load of cars stored nearby. The steak n' cheese grinder (~$12) was just that, steak and cheese. I would've expected onions, lettuce, and peppers, which would've made it much better. A simple heads up that it comes plain and toppings are available would've gone a long way. Another person got the chicken parm grinder and said it was merely alright. We got the 10-piece wings (~$14). For some reason, you can only pick one flavor on a 10-piece order. We chose the Spicy BBQ, and they were really good, even though they weren't actually spicy. The cheeseburger (~$14) was also yummy and came with fries. The other burgers on the menu looked really good and would probably be the main reason I'd come back. Service was the biggest miss. It wasn't bad, but it felt indifferent and impersonal. No waters were offered, and the main guy was on his phone most of the time. The bathroom was probably one of the worst I've seen in a while. The toilet seat itself had poop on it. Not just that it wasn't flushed, I'm talking about the actual seat. Considering we were one of only two groups there, this should have been taken care of quickly. Pricing was on the higher side, which is why I expected a better overall experience. Overall, I think this place has a lot of potential because the food itself was good, but the service and cleanliness need improvement.

Subway i think can be a very solid quick option for fast food and a decent opportunity to have a healthier alternative to other fast food joints. For the most part, the pricing is fair and decent and the options are plentiful. I will generally get teriyaki chicken as my go to sandwich and if done well, its a solid sandwich. I also enjoy the turkey, the meatball marinara and the spicy Italian. All solid sandwiches if prepared well. The veggies are generally alright; the lettuce and spinach and sus sometimes along with the tomatoes and peppers but generally, not bad. Same with the meats and cheeses, usually in good condition at a quick glance. The main issue I tend to have with this particular Subway is the help and the competence in making sandwiches. I have had some very nice people that do a great job, go above and beyond, all that stuff and to them, they are greatly appreciated. I'm not a very confrontational person nor do I ever complain on the spot or make a scene. I tend to just accept things in the understanding that people have bad days because I do too. However, I find that whenever the owner is there making sandwiches, he goes very light on ingredients. I have had some workers there be very short and rude which is frustrating. Some people also just seem poorly trained at times with their efforts. So overall, more of a 2.5 out of 5 I think. A good 50/50 between great and poor experiences with the majority just being average/decent experiences. Thanks for all you guys do.

I would order one from here over Rice's any day of the week. Could have eaten another had I not bought something else. I enjoyed the chaug, pesto hit the spot and plenty of filling to fill me up.
