This is the same as any other McDonalds. I will go here once in a while. The health aspect does not bother me because it is a once in a while treat. It brings back memories from when I was little. I still think that McDonalds has the best fries out of any chain fast food restaurant. This location bothers me because I went in there once and not only did they not have the burger I wanted available, but they did not have any fries either. When I worked downtown, for the most part this is where I would eat lunch. For me, it was the place to be seen. You got the stock ticker working, since Wall Street is right there. You got the Mickey D's version of Liberace, playing to his heart's content as you're downing a Royale with Cheese (and why Liberace never found a wife to support him I will never know. Same goes for RIchard Simmons). You even got the McDonald's Gift Shop on the second floor (yes, a McDonald's with multiple floors) where you can buy a mini-Statue of Liberty with the McDonald's logo on it. I don't get it. Isn't it a requirement to actually understand English if you're going to be working at a fast food joint? Everytime I'm here I have to repeat my order a zillion times and even after that they still manage to fudge up my order. Once I ordered a caramel sundae and I was being corrected by the employee to say caramela instead of caramel. Worst customer service. I have seen and grew in this McDonald's since I was 5 years old . I know everyone here due to my mother use to work here and she was fired for no reason by the stupid supervisor. My mom has known her customers for 15 years that she has been working here and she always offered amazing customer service. Now the employees are unorganized and rude ! Not really into fast food but it's a good price for a large coffee. You can score a seat and sit without a time limit. This makes a problem during the crowded lunch hour and management will not ask anyone to leave. I carried around my coffee waiting for a spot. My friend got a burger & fries. After 4-5 min.we got a table. Her burger looked ok...a bit soggy and to much mayo. Lettuce looks sparse. My coffee was fine and Overall good it was memorable read more

Horrible! The food is always cold. The buns are stale. The employees barely speak English. The owner is so cheap he makes the employees skimp on how much ketchup they give you even after you ask for it. You forget to ask? You're not getting any. The worst offense was that I had just gone through drive-through and eaten my meal in the parking lot so I went in to get some more soda and they shut off the entire soda machine because I had the cup in my hand. This place sucks. They always forget something in my order. When I went there they didn't take my coupon for a free sandwich after I waited in a long slow line even though it said they would online. They also served me cold fries and forgot pancakes and sryup a few times. I recommend going to the other mcdonalds in town. I will not be going back anymore they lost a customer. So just recently I was on Facebook and saw this news article going around about Jamie Oliver and Mc Donald's. So I had to read it! Good thing I did now I never want to eat a McDonald's cheese burger again. The article stated how there cheese burgers are made with the cheapest meat because they serve a lot of people but that is not the part that disturbed me. So I continued to read on and I saw that they also wash there meat in ammonium hydroxide. Like WHAT!! Reading on..."ammonium hydroxide is not safe for human consumption and is bad for animals as well" I can't believe what I am reading. So as I continue I find out that Jamie Oliver (if you don't know who he is Google him!) has exposed McDonalds and now they want to change there recipe for the burgers but what about the other food I mean if that's just the burgers what must be in the other food as well. If you ever go for breakfast you will see what I mean. There eggs look fake. No eggs should look the way there's do. I happen to know someone who works at McDonalds and they said there eggs come in a tube and they are just sliced, OMG! I love eggs and all but not when the come in a tube...those are not eggs! My favorite McDonald'd meal is the Filet-o-Fish and there have rarely been any FOFs that I haven't liked. The one thing I always look for that makes my MD experience even more memorable is a top bun with out any breaks or bruises. Still in pristine condition as if it's fresh out of the oven. Couple this with an extra side of tartar sauce to dip your sandwich and your fries in, sipping on an ice cold, super carbonated Coke thru those extra wide MD straws, and you'll be on cloud 9! read more

Wow. This has always been my neighborhood McDs. At 7 pm tonight; the drive through was empty. The person on the intercom was rude, with poor English, two inexcusable factors. They overcharged me $12. The Sunland-Tujunga McDonalds is a McDonalds with a bit of local color. The service is fast and efficient like all McDonald's. The quality of the food is at the McDonald's standards. Both the inside and drive through lines are not long and I've never had my order mixed up. The patrons are what make this McDonald's stand out--and not in a good way. The local homeless in the main dining area are harmless though sometimes one of them can be a bit smelly. They usually keep to the west window area to keep an eye on their shopping carts right outside the door. The Playland area has great equipment, but because the crowd of pre-teens and teens using it can be rather rough, I wouldn't recommend it for the gentler set. I had to take my 5-year old out of the restaurant one time because I felt the crowd of kids in the play area were a tad scary. Also, language in the play area is at times not appropriate for a child to hear. The employees don't patrol the play area other than for a random pickup of the garbage and trays, so if you bring your kids, take care or stick to the drive through. read more

Ordered 2 mcchickens and 1 sweet tea @ this location about 20 min ago. Despite being the only customers on the drive thru, we had to wait about 5 min to get our sandwiches. The employee was nice enough to tell us about how many minutes we have to wait till we get our order. We drove home and started eating the mcchickens despite realizing the weird smell, we still ate it b/c we were starving and halfway realized that it doesn't taste right, the chicken on both mcchickens were spoiled and old and had a sour taste to them. They were just re-fried on the deep fryer hence the crunchy texture. I will never go to this location ever again, I don't recall the cashier's name but mcdonald's better do something about this. read more

Sometimes I crave Mickey Ds. When I come here, I usually would go for a sundae or breakfast. Their drive thru is so slowwwwwww! One day I came and there was only 3 cars ahead of me and I was there for more than 40 minutes. The car in front of me only got 5 SOFT DRINKS! I payed attention. When it was my turn to get my ice cream cones, it took 10 minutes. I told the girl I've been waiting more than 10 minutes just for 2 ice cream cones so this should be comped. So she looks at me and says "so u don't want the items". I got furious after waiting so long and I hear her dumb response. I paid, pulled over and went in to speak to a manager. The manager was no help. She basically told me to give back the items and then I'll get a refund....ummm eww no. That's not sanitary on any level. You're a food restaurant. I been going to this restaurant for the past 5 years. The only reason why I go is because my daughter likes McDonald's. I put up a lot with their rudeness cold food and stuff but I was there a couple of days ago and this is the last time you ever seen it at a McDonald's because of what I saw. I was in line waiting to place my order and this area has homeless people I'm not complaining about that. I saw this guy coming to the restaurant give the manager Adriana a pack of cigarettes after she got it this homeless guy went and got a drink where everybody else fills their drink for free of course. That still didn't bother me what bother me was that this guy got a bottle that he had in his mouth put that part of the bottle all the way up to where the Coke comes out so that the dispenser was touching his bottle where he put his mouth filling the bottle with Coke. He might as well put his mouth in the disperser and licked it. Wonder why people get sick. I did call the manager Adriana made her aware of the fact do you think they clean any thing up. This people don't care so if you keep going to this McDonald's keep in mind that you're always going to be filling your drink with somebody else's spit in it. Used to be between moderately ok to absolutely horrible -- however recently that changed. Its crazy what one good employee who is extremely personable in a fashion that doesn't detriment the overall function of their position can do. Having your employee Targol as the greeter I would say was an extremely good choice possibly the best choice in staffing this location has ever made. Makes me feel a lot less disappointed when eating food that will probably cause cancer and liver/kidney disease quicker than my cigarettes and scotch. Still catches me off guard having her bring my food to the table or offering to get the door for people including myself. I've been coming here for years and never fully felt like the employees provided ridiculously amazing customer service till now. I highly suggest you give that young lady a raise and a fast track to being promoted or a small business owner I might have to attempt to steal her from you . Finally a absolutely positive experience coming to that location. Well done Mc Donald's management and Targol, keep doing what your doing.
