Yesterday at around 4:40 pm, the 12 piece family meal with large macaroni and cheese, large coleslaw and large bbq black beans was ordered. It was for take out. It took 5 or so minutes to complete it. A coupon was used. There are two entrances to El Pollo Loco. It's clean inside. The employee was polite and charged me quickly. I like how the sides are full to bursting. The chicken was tender and savory. I liked adding the salsa to it to make it spicier. The macaroni and cheese is cheesy. Easy to chew and hot. The coleslaw was cold and crunchy. The bbq black beans were soft and smoky. They were a bit spicy surprisingly and I liked how they came back because they're a limited time only food. read more

El Pollo Loco - 12pc Family Meal - Fast Food Near Me - Sunland, California

This is my experience of this Pollo loco and of many pollo locos. It seems like when they go buy their chickens they're looking for the smallest ones they can find? Because every time I ask for a 2 pc meal breast and wing I get a breast from a game hen or a thigh maybe? What do you think ? My sister happened to go in and order a leg and a thigh Can you tell the difference which plate is which? read more

El Pollo Loco - 1 plate is a breast and wing 1 plate is a Leg and thigh - Fast Food Near Me - Sunland, California

my father walked in to this store to grab dinner for the family. They have kiosk for customers to use for orders. my father like many other older customers are not comfortable or familiar with using these types of advanced devices. he kindly asked the staff for help and they refused to help. this is extremely sad to hear. & we will definitely change locations. Management and supervisors should know not all customers are familiar with this and should have someone at cashier or at least assist at the kiosk. disappointed. read more

Drive thru service was quick, they were efficient as well. My food arrived home hot and ready to devour. Generous portions of chicken served in my containers and my original pollo bowl was also served proportionally well. read more

Every time we order drive through food at this location, they always mess up our order. It never fails. Today was no different. I'm highly allergic to onions we said no onions TWICE- they put onions in my pollo bowl. We said no ice in the soda, they put ice and soda was super flat. We ordered chips and salsa with our combo bowl order, but received tortillas instead. We ordered 2 meals, for 2 guests, they put ONE SINGLE NAPKIN in the bag (1 napkin lol) This is the worst El Pollo Loco I've ever been to and I'm done with this location. Will never return to this location. read more

Don't expect much when you come here. You'll get customer service from employees that clearly don't want to work which means them purposely messing up your food and giving you nothing but attitude. Disgraceful and these type of people 100% don't deserve to get a paycheck. This was the last time I come to this location. I ordered 2 kids meals with a side of mashed potatoes and got a side of gravy. The constant mess up on food here is ridiculous and I truly hope that the owner realizes that their employees are the reason behind the lack of customers at the store. read more

My wife and I order chicken and sides from here quite frequently. Other than me liking things a little saltier, the quality and flavor of their chicken is always on point. The tortillas are always warm and soft and I do love their mashed potatoes and gravy and their Mac n' Cheese is always yummy. Never been to the physical location so no clue on person to person service or interaction. Also no idea on ambiance. We've only had delivery. Highly recommended! read more

Usually I order foods from this location every week or every other week. My family and I love el pollo loco's food. They have variety of menus for all the tastes and even they have catering menu. Easy to order online, store, or drive true. But for this specific location I reduce one star because of the missing foods... Based on several years experience, always some part of the order is missing, just check your order when you are picking up your food in the store, they will fix it. One star is missing because of uncompleted orders packaging. read more

El Pollo Loco - Half chicken, keto burrito, guacamole and chips - Fast Food Near Me - Sunland, California

They're going to have to change their name to El Arroz Loco because if you order a chicken burrito with rice in it, you're getting a rice burrito with some chicken in it. I ordered the Chipotle guacamole burrito... I got a BRC with a small amount of guacamole, Chipotle and chicken. read more

this el pollo loco in the sunland area doesn't get enough credit of how good this fast food place is. ive been to some el pollo locos in different places but i prefer this one. i came to el pollo loco yesterday to grab some lunch after a gym sesh and you can instantly smell the chicken cookinnn when you walk in! smelled so good! like most fast food places they have the kiosk to place your order. i guess it's convenient. lol. the service was pretty good. didn't wait that long after ordering on the kiosk. for once at a fast food place i got my order completed with no mistakes. it was taco tuesday yesterday so you know i had to get myself some tacos. 2 tacos for $5 was nice. i got myself (2) shredded chicken tacos with a plate combo of 2 chickens (1) breast & (1) leg, rice, & coleslaw with a drink. the food was good. the chicken was freshly cooked. the rice and coleslaw was good was well. i like that they give you two tortillas so you can create yourself a taco. i love love love that this place isn't stingy with their sauces! they gave me a good amount of sauces which was much appreciated! the sauces tasted fresh and completed my tacosssss. read more

This is one of my favorite places ever or should I say my favorite place ever.I have always loved this place since I was able to eat chicken,my favorite part is there avocado green salsa I would die for it, I even drink it like it was water, that's how good it is.I go there to much the workers now my order they even finish what I was going to say which I think is kinda funny. If I could eat one last thing in the world it would be the food there idk what yet but it would be there. I have been in the inside of the store and it was very nice and everyone was smiling. That's all I have to say about el pollo loco!!! read more

They never give the salsas you ask for. 12 pices family meal i order 8 avocado salsas or they just give 4 salsas or they said they don't have any, is the second time I go on Saturday and they don't have salsas, the guy act like if wanting the salsas is something embarrassing to ask for it, and like giving or having the salsas is a privilege for the costumer, also I had a cupon that says $25 for 12 pieces and when I pay it was $28 for the 12 pices I didn't get anything extra so $28 plus the taxes and I just said we'll is not big of the deal maybe I just did some wrong so I ask if I did it corect the same guy was you already have your discount, the attitude all along like he it's what? read more

I have to give you the lowest score possible. I ordered through Uber Eats again and again you got my order wrong but this time it is even worse. You only gave me half of my order. When it says buy one get one on an eight piece meal I'm expecting sixteen pieces of chicken and not eight. You only gave me half of what I ordered. Are you going to call the driver and tell him to pick up the second half and take it to me? I better not hold my breath. I'm done buying my meals from you for the time being. Very disappointed read more

04/16/24 11:45am the manager forgot my order I had to tell them all over again my order, she didn't say sorry I asked for napkins she only gave one while looking away rude, she passed my card like 4 times , she is loud and inefficient, one client left without ordering and another was complaining. read more

Absolutely disgusting! I ordered tacos. First words out of my mouth after tacos was "no onions". That phrase was repeated back to me...... check out the onions I removed from my tacos. What if I was deathly allergic??! Side salad....... brown lettuce... need I say more? Half was brown and wilted. This is an order that should 100% be refunded. 2 thumbs down! read more

We have had several bad experiences with mobile orders at this location. The most recent one was pretty telling. We pulled into the drive-thru for pickup. "It's not ready yet." No worries, we thought. There were several cars in front of us so we waited in the line as usual. But when we arrived at the pick-up window, we got a more hostile, "It's not ready yet", and an ask to literally leave (the fast-food establishment) and COME BACK. Note that our pickup time was 8:08 and this was at 8:10. The funny thing is that we only ordered two orders of nachos. If we had ordered at the box, they'd have even less time to prepare our food than they did with the notice we gave from ordering through the app. When we were asked to leave and return (and sit in the drive-thru line a second time), we finally asked what was up. We got an urgent, "You'll mess up my timer!!!" When we did get our food, there was quite a bit of rudeness. We ended up being the ones who were super apologetic and said thank you when we were handed the bag, but there was no further eye contact... thank you... nothing. It seems that prioritizing the timer rather than the customer misses the entire point of the timer: ensuring a great customer experience. It also puts the staff in a sticky situation. If the location can not manage a workflow for mobile orders, I wish they would disable them rather than give us an awkward and passive aggressive experience. (But two stars because the chicken nachos are BOMB!) read more

Props to the newer management that has been running this location. Parking is always avail here, and the drive through is usually filled but that's just a quick wait for you. Service is fast here. Foods pretty good! It taste like el pollo loco chicken! If you know what that tastes like it's grilled chicken! Good, decent, and passable, always wish it was fresher. Sometimes a bit more char is needed but this chicken is 60-70% of time, dry. So hit up the free salsa bar they offer, and sauce it up! Green sauce, chipotle and all the other fixings for your entree. Also I had a chance to try the new Chili Lime sauce they debuted recently, and it helps a lot!!!!!! Thanks for pulling through in the Sunland/Tujunga neighborhood! read more

Food is not good at this location: 1). chicken thigh from our family meal was bloody. The skin on the rest could've been more cooked to make the skin crispy. 2). The Mac n cheese was also watery with no flavor. 3). The green avocado salsa was so watery and cold because it had ice big and very small chunks. 4). This location does NOT have horchata. Boo! This Restaurant is dirty. It took about 45 minutes from the time we sat at our table to the time we left for someone to clean the eating area including the table next to us. (See foto attached). Our table we ourselves got a wet napkin to clean it. Customer service is not good at this location either. A smile or a thank you would be nice from any of the staff but no. read more

So I was just there to get my tostada salad. I pull up and I'm guessing the larger Hispanic male is the manager. I asked him for an extra sauce twice because the one he threw in there spilled in my bag of food. I get home and the attached picture is what my food looked like. I don't waste food so I ate it but I wasn't happy with the way that manager handled my food or his customer service. I've been going to that el pollo loco since birth pretty much and I've never experienced this kind of service. If you hate your job so much like your face described when you talked to me and by the way you handled my food then quit. Don't take it out on the food I paid for or the way you talk to me after I tried to smile and be nice to you. Go get on disability and be miserable at home!! Thanks!! read more

This place is absolutely nasty!!!! So my wife and I came in tonight at 8:08 pm for dinner and when We got my chicken tostadas it looked delicious. Upon putting Cilantro dressing on my lunch tostada a piece of hair came out with the dressing so I showed it to the employee and she apologized and said they would re make my tostada. When I got my new tostada I went to my table to eat and the lettuce under the chicken was frozen like they had the lettuce in the freezer they were kind of yellow and it shows u that the lettuce was not fresh and to top it off the cook was cleaning the grill and spraying some chemical on the grill while there was 20 cooked chickens on the grill next to the grill the was spraying And cleaning. I will never eat here again. I think the health department should be made aware of whats going on there...... read more
