I have been buying iced coffee at this McDonald's for a few years. It was really good in the past but this last week something changed in January 2025. Sometimes a coffee taste so strong and it stinks like sewer water and it has a horrible taste. I take the coffee back and get a replacement with fresh coffee iced coffee and it's not a lot better. It taste sometimes like there's evergreen flavoring and I don't get any flavoring, but it has that taste and it still taste terribly strong.. I used to get a cup every morning of iced coffee but the last 3 to 4 weeks I've been getting one cup to 2 cups a week because you can't stand to drink it. There's no one I know of that works there that I can tell this to that matters and that might figure it out. So I'm gonna leave this here. Maybe a smart manager will read it because they do have a smart manager. I don't know his name, but he is smart. He has a arm that has been broken. And I think red hair. Hopefully someone will ask him if he has read the comments on yelp. Who knows maybe he reads them every chance he gets I'm not sure. read more

The restaurant is dirty, floors are not cleaned, staff are lazy and don't want to help. Their attitudes suck! They are so rude and disrespectful. You can hear them arguing with each other. The food is always bad, under cooked, cold and rubbery muffins that are not toasted. The kiosk screens were filthy, had ketchup and muck on them. I went to use the hand sanitiser and all 4 were empty. So I had to go to the bathroom. The toilets were gross, poop left in the toilet. No toilet paper and again, filthy floors. Made me feel sick! This McDonald's in Saint Joseph Michigan is one of the cleanest McDonald's I have been to. The entire staff is friendly and will pretty much get you whatever you need. In the past year I have had a single issue dealing with Chocolate Chip Cookies. I needed two dozen and they were unwilling to make them for me. I don't usually take the time to write a negative review unless the service or food was really horrendous. I went inside this McDonald's for the first time in a very long time because the drive-through was backed up and not moving at all. Time was Saturday 8/3 10:20 am. The service at the counter was embarrassing. I stood at the counter for almost 10 minutes, looking at the backs of three people talking and who seemed to find other things to do than take an order apparently the drive-through and delivery orders get priority over somebody who is standing there looking at your back. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit combo and later discovered I received a sausage egg and biscuit combo - no cheese. I ordered a caramel frappe and watched the woman lazily shake out my cup 2/3 of the way full with the frappe and fill the remaining space with whip cream. Apparently she didn't have the time to wait for the rest of my frosted drink to empty out of the mixer. When I left I noticed that the floor was sticky and had countless footprints all over it from not being cleaned. I'm pretty disgusted with the service there. Unfortunately this is the only McDonald's in the nearby area but I may have to suck it up and start going to Burger King. Maybe this memory will help me kick fast food! Lol read more

Not so long ago they renovated this McDonald's and it really does look nice.  I love that they decorated for ths Halloween holiday and the new adition of the machines that allow you to order with no human interaction (a socially awkward womens dream but a cashiers worst nightmare).  Food is standard for McDonalds and so is the wait.  The service is surprisingly friendly for the early evening.  Normally by 6pm most fast food workers are struggling to smile but not here.  This will continue to be my go to McDonalds (there are 3 within a resonable driving distance). read more

This is the most trash McDonalds you could go to. The service is not only like they could care less but the food (if they insert it into the bag) is HORRID. I live down the street, and I'd rather drive to any other location to get McDonald's from sj. Not one time have they gotten my order right. I'm talkin, leaving out entire sandwiches. If you do get SOME of your order, it tastes like it's been back there since grandpa was in nom. You ask for extra crispy nuggets, they say "we don't do that here" then other days they do and on the menu it's 'cooked to order' you never get good fries? One time an employee almost hit us while we were in drive through and when we confronted her, she said they and her all of the staff spit in the food. This isn't the place to go. They forget it, don't cook it, give you old food, YOURE wrong and they could care less. The many times I've gone and asked for special things just in hopes I get something edible from this place, they ignore it. It makes me want to drive around and throw it at the window and I'm such a nonchalant person. Don't come here. Fix the staff or not, I'd rather eat at a half ass crack corner than this McDonald's. Avoid at all costs. Worst McDonald's in the area if not the country. Evening staff routinely tells drive thru customers that their "system is down" during busy times so they will leave. Staff does not honor curbside orders and you will have to go inside to retrieve your order. If that's not bad enough, you may be unlucky like I was to receive the wrong sandwich with a bite taken out of it. I just had a really bad experience at this McDonald's. First of all, when I got there their ice cream machines were broken which happens way too much here. Secondly, they really screwed up my order. I asked for a root beer with my happy meal expecting to get a kids size. Instead I got a large soda and it wasn't even the right kind. I asked for root beer and they gave me diet coke. Also both my Big Mac and my Mcdouble were stacked improperly. The middle bun on my Big Mac was on the bottom and the bottom bun was in the middle. Filthiest McDonald's I have ever been to. Bucket by the soda fountain machine I assume as some sort of a Band-Aid for their equipment failure. Bucket is full of garbage and some slurry liquid. The Formica on all of the tables is cracked and on some tables pieced back together providing a petri dish for bacteria to reproduce. When we walked in there were garbage sitting outside by the garbage cans and they were still sitting there when we left. Don't know if anybody was planning on disposing of them. This McD's is the only one on my route to work. Frankly, if there were any other reasonable choices, this place could go pound sand. At least the coffee is reasonably good (don't expect your cream or sugar orders to be correct, though). Slow, inaccurate, surly, snippy, and frazzled are all appropriate adjectives for the crew here (not usually all at once, though, so at least they've got that goin' for them). The place hasn't been updated in forever; it's really dismal to be inside. Also, if you have any fragrance allergies, steer clear - my car typically reeks of whatever the servers have marinated themselves in after receiving my order. The property is owned by Dawa Enterprises out of Plymouth, IN. There's a sign by the drive-through window with an e-mail address where you can direct your comments, etc. But the staff has coyly turned it around so it can only be read from the inside.
