McDonald's Roma Magliana is your typical McDonald's, only we're in Italy. So, first thing I've noticed when walking in was large advertisement over the cashier station for... no, not for a Big Mac... But for coffee, of course!
Large lettering is screaming at you for cappuccino, Café au lait, torta, Caffè, mokka, cioccolata, pain au chocholat, espresso, mandise, oh my, every type of specialty coffee you can dream up is probably there!
There are croissants on display for goodness sake! Looks like they have full Italian pastry menu and baked goods, including cheesecakes! This is a reason enough for four stars in my view.
The inside is clean and spacious, a dozen or so tables with chairs. There's an outdoor seating area, and the weirdest kind of all McChickens - McShrimp, as part of the taste-of-the-world campaign. I didn't dare to go for the McShripmy, as it actually didn't look as appetizing as it sounds, thank you, but No, thanks!
They do have classic choices and typical combo meals, too, it's a Golden Arches place, after all.
Interesting how instead of the photographs of the actual food on the advertising posters and menus, they use some perfectly even and balanced colored drawings, as it seems, in place of the artfully enhanced and creative shots of the juicy burgers, like we're used to in the U.S. read more
