I am a big back who loves McDonald's, and I don't have a license because I was caught drunk driving. Shoutout to my driver Jafael--he is a real one. He was my driver at 3 AM, and he did not disappoint. As we pulled into the golden arches, the glow of the sign called to me like a beacon of hope in my time of desperate hunger. I had one goal: consume as many McDoubles as humanly possible. Jafael, being the legend he is, ordered with the confidence of a man who has done this before. I told him, "Jafael, my guy, I need at least three McDoubles, a large fry, and a Coke so cold it hurts my teeth." He nodded solemnly, understanding the assignment. When the food arrived, I knew I was about to witness greatness. The fries? Hotter than my ex's temper. The McDoubles? Stacked like a fine piece of art. The Coke? Bubbly enough to make my eyes water. It was a spiritual experience. Halfway through my second McDouble, I shed a single tear. Was it the beauty of the meal? The fact that Jafael had perfect parallel parking at the drive-thru? Wow, this was fast service! Our Coast-to-Coast Road Trip™ has landed us in plenty of fast food establishments, so I'm confident saying that this McDonalds is above average for speed and accuracy of our order. Oh, and the employees were really friendly, too! Andres took our order and was patient with my kiddos, who kept going back and forth between what kind of Happy Meal they wanted and whether they wanted apple juice or milk... or actually maybe they wanted water. Time and time again I've waited 20 minutes or more for an order. I come here because there is truck parking. If you order at the kiosk it takes forever. If you order at the register its a little quicker. I watched people order at the register after I've asked about my order and watch them get there's way before me. So unorganized. I've never edited a review from negative to positive, but this McDonalds has really made a good turn around in the best ways. I've been so impressed with their super fast service and their politeness. It's 2023 right now. I will edit it in the future if thinks ever tank again. read more

Who starts selling lunch at 10:30 AM and can't sell you a milkshake because they're cleaning the machine .......at 10:30? Just gonna post the letter I wrote to McDonalds Corporate: I am a daily McDonalds customer. Usually for breakfast, coffee, and occasionally lunch. Although I Iive near this location, I usually go to the one in Provo (near my train stop) or Lehi (near my office). Something needs to be done about this location. Particularly their inability to regularly provide coffee and soft drinks, I just waited 20 MINUTES in the drive-thru for a cup of coffee. When I got to the speaker there was a small, homemade note telling me that, once again, they are out of coffee. This isn't an anomaly. They often do not have coffee or soft drinks available. One of the greatest appeals of McDonalds (to me) is your consistency. No matter where I go (except this location apparently) I know exactly what I am going to get before I order it. A 20 minute wait in a running car for NOTHING is ridiculous. C'mon, McDonalds, you can do better than this. At least find a way to let me know that you don't have coffee on a Saturday BEFORE I waste my time. Maybe something akin to the Krispy Kreme hot sign? Lord knows, it's that much of a crap-shoot to get coffee or Coke at this location. read more

Worst McDonald's ive ever been too! For some reason theres a major abundance of flies all over this place. But no worries,not all of them are alive. Lots of them are just smashed on the wall as decorations. Which leads me to this. Man this place is dirty. The fries were good, and so was the soda i guess. But my filet o fish was dry and cold in the center. And apparently it no longer gets a full slice of cheese. Instead it gets an old,dried out, pocked marked half piece of cheese. And the bun was surprisingly very crusty. As if if had been left out for a day or 2 to dry. What a crap show! read more

The service and I use that term very loosely is horrible here! We did an order on their app which is another joke and went in to pick it up. We waited over 1/2 hour just for someone to care enough to help us. It appears that they will serve the cars in the drive through but won't wait on people in the restaurant. Got our order wrong three times and we still ended up without an entire combo. Said they couldn't understand us so we pulled forward to the window, and they kept rattling on orders that weren't even wrong. All around extremely infuriating and we had to go into the physical store when we were already pressed for time so we had used the drive thru. They are fine. They have messed up my order quite a few times though. Tonight I ordered an egg mcmuffin and got a sausage mcgriddle, which would normally not bug me too much, except that I took it all the way to Springville to drop it off at my friend's work before I found out what it was (I shoulda checked before driving away I suppose, but I also shouldn't have to do that), and my friend is vegetarian so he was just out of luck and didn't get to eat lunch. Well let me tell you, if you are looking for the worst McDonald's west of the Mississippi River, you have found it here in Payson, Utah. I've been to this McDonald's about 3 times and refuse to go back. Once was turned away because they were only accepting cash...? Next time, the food tasted like it had been sitting out for hours not to mention the 40 minute wait in the drive thru along with the sprite tasting like cat pee. What can I say ... McFood is McFood. The franchise has figured out how to make it pretty consistent no matter where you go. The predictability, coupled with price and convenience, is why we all go there. So when it comes to reviewing a McD's, it's all about the service. I've noticed over the years that the Payson McD's has been struggling, and my most recent experience caps it off nicely. We walked in around 9pm--well before the dining room closed. There were about 8 people waiting for service. In the back, we could see a number of people hard at work, and orders seemed to be flying through the drive-through. But we got no attention in the "dining room." No acknowledgement whatsoever. So, we left. Of course I'm going to keep going to McDonalds. But I'll probably avoid this one. I have choices. read more

Why does it take 8 minutes to get a small drink and a large fry. There are 6-8 workers in the back and two customers up front. They have an auto/robotic ordering system and it still took 8 minutes once I placed order. I was wondering why they had only 2 stars. Now I know why! Not much point in rating the food. You either love Micky D's or you don't. The Payson, Utah location has one of the most dedicated and hard working managerial staffs in the entire chain. They do have a tough time keeping workers that have a good work ethic, so sometimes the service isn't what it could be. Check your order before you leave and make sure it's right! The app has some great deals occasionally, but sometimes not. The lobby has finally re-opened, yay! The internet simply does not work reliably at this location and never has, so expect that. read more

This is the fourth time that I have been to this particular McDonald's. Without fail every time that I have been, my order has been messed up. Most of the time and has been something small, no ketchup , wrong item, etc. However this last time there was no egg on my Egg McMuffin at all. I even took it up to them again, got back to my table, ...still no egg. C'mon, how hard is it? It doesn't matter if they are busy or not, they screw it up every time! Everyone at the front counter avoids eye contact for fear that you're going to ask for something else they neglected to put on your tray. ..Well, There is 10 more minutes of waiting. Was hungry so stopped here for a breakfast burrito and sausage sandwich. Wow, for about $5 I got 3 sausage breakfast burritos and 2 sausage sandwiches. It weighed about 1.5 pounds and was absolutely great. Plus we got in line at the right time, about 3PM, and zipped on thru. The food was soooo good, too. read more
