Last week the soup was pretty good. Basically, they put various warm things, like meat, beans, rice, etc., in a bowl and add soup base. Tonight the base was cold, so the soup was luke-warm. Last week the tortilla was fresh, tonight it was fairly old and hard. The girls working on the line didn't seem to know what they were doing, maybe they don't make many soups. One girl had to tell the other what to do, and she didn't know much either. For example, she put the guac. deep in the bowl, so it looked like green slime in the bottom. Yum! Fresh! Homemade! Delicious chips! I ordered a veggie taco, they do not too many requests for! He made my taco with fresh ingredients, they use handmade tortillas, you choose ingredients, then they cook it on the flat grill, crisping up the tortillas. I ordered rice, pinto beans, onions/peppers (highly recommend), after cooking, the top it with crispy romaine lettuce, more cheese & pico . It was served hot, delicious!!! I will be back. Out of all the Costa Vida locations I've been to, I can say this specific spot is the worst by far. First of all, we asked for pico and lettuce as we always do and we were really clear about it. But when we pulled up they aint even bother to add it. After complaining, they simply said we didn't ask for it. Now take a look at the bean and rice proportions! I was traveling south with my husband while hauling a large trailer and I called the Spanish Fork Costa Vida rather than the Payson Costa Vida and placed an order. When we arrived in Payson the gentleman (Jake) helping us couldn't find our order. He called Spanish Fork Costa Vida for us and asked if they had an order under my name (which they did) and then he asked them if they could cancel our order so he could remake it in Payson for us so that we wouldn't have to travel back north with our large trailer. I heard him say, "I understand but I am just trying to help out the customer." Spanish Fork didn't seem be helpful (which I realize it was our mistake) but Payson went above and beyond with their customer service to make sure that we were taken care of. Give Jake a raise! Ok, I typically prefer to eat at this location over others because of the better customer service and food. But man, they really dropped the ball with this whole Curbside Pick Up stuff. Nobody came out to the curbside parking spot, where I was designated to park if ordering in the app. And when I went in after sitting in the parking spot for 10 min, the employee simply said "Well, if you don't see someone after a few minutes just come in." My parents live in santaquin and all 6 of us kids plus two spouses had to come into town for a funeral when our grandmother passed. This is a family of 10 people in mourning. We came to costa vida due to enjoying it in our home state and wanted to sit together. We moved tables together so that we could all sit together only to be told very rudely by an employee walking around that we have to move them back when we are done and that we shouldn't have moved them in the first place and not to do it again. There is no seating accommodation for large families and we can't move tables together??? In UTAH?! Im amazed but had we been told nicely, I'd have felt differently. I've been at the Payson Costa Vida a couple of time & haven't had a good experience there until that one day I decided to give it a try again. Friday Valentines Day was very busy But when I got to the station where the salad was as I remember her name is Poucheka I told her what I wanted on my salad . What stood out to me the most was even though it was busy and customers were getting a little frustrated she had this bright smile on her face and kept A calm posture and just ask them how their day was. Because Poucheka I would definitely come again not only was she welcoming but it made me want to come back I love eating at Costa Vida my favorite place to eat specially if I have a Great experience as I did on Friday. Wow! I usually eat at Cafe Rio but I was in Payson so Costa Vida was the closest thing to it. I was impressed by the people at this location. The most friendly and welcoming team. The manager picked up that I was new to it and came and welcome me and helped go through their menu (didn't get his name). The food was a amazing. Jesus one of the managers went around asking if anyone need it anything. Another super friendly guy Mike picked up my plates and asked if I need more dressing. People were dining-in above capacity. We were passing through town and wanted to grab some food to go, but we turned around and left right away because we did not feel safe. I want to give a big shout out to Sadie in the Payson Costa Vida. I took my grandson there last Friday (June19). We went to get him some food in between his baseball games. Sadie was so personable! She started talking to him & asked him how his first game went. He told her they tied. She said You'll get the next game. As we pulled away he got into his sack. He had put a note in there that said "you got this", with a picture of a baseball. He was so elated! It made his day!!! I was so happy about this, what a great person Sadie is!!! I had told her I would be back to pick up some more orders. I came back after dropping him off. I thanked her & thanked her for being so awesome! I went to this Costa Vida 3 days out of my 7 for dinner. 1st attempt I asked for a sweet pork burrito black beans no rice and they gave me shredded chicken with black beans. 2nd attempt I asked for the same thing they gave me sweet pork with pinto beans. I ordered curbside pickup because I didn't want to go in and I was sitting in the parking stall for 20 minutes about when finally worker came out and asked if I had a pick up. I checked my app to make sure that I didn't do in-store pick up instead of curbside but I did not my pick up was supposed to be for 715 I got there around 7:10 didn't come out until seven 20/25-ish. out of respect to the customers inside I turned off my headlights and they did not come out until I turned them back on I had the interior of my car on so they could see my running lights as well as my interior lights and they did not come out for that amount of time I am not pleased with this as I was expecting a quick five minute pick up instead it was 25 minutes would have been faster to go through the drive-through and or indoor I however did not want to because of COVID-19 read more

I love the sweet pork burrito smothered in the verde sauce and covered in cheese. It's a big burrito! I can buy one and share it with two kids!! Just for a new experience, I tried the raspberry chicken taco and it was very dry chicken. The sauce, it was so far out of place on that taco.... The flavors just didn't work together. I'm not sure if it was because the chicken was so over cooked or what, but it was terrible and I wouldn't try it again!! The service is a bit spotty. In tje late evening the employees aren't eager to help you and are somewhat seemingly annoyed they have a customer. Not a vibe to be getting from the people preparing your order... On the other hand, just after the lunch hour, I've been in there with my son and they treated us fantastic. Then start looking at it closer, no extra chicken added and about 2 teaspoons of rice and beans. Literally had to dig around the salad to even find any. Disappointed. Ordered the steak burrito. Asked for the hottest sauce. All I could taste was sugar and mango. I don't know what was in that sauce but it ruined the flavor of the steak. The rice is overdone, the beans were bland. I mean I know this isn't fine dining but I've had good Costa Vida and this is not one of them. They make the tortillas fresh but then slather so much sauce and cheese that the tortilla feels like slime. Who on earth thinks this is good?
