I have been coming to this McDonald's on Foothill Blvd. in Pasadena since before 2017. One of the nicest things was they has electrical outlets for your laptop or charging your phone. Tonight I went, and every outlet had a cover. I asked 2 different workers about it, and they said they used to have that for customers, but they don't now. If French fries are $4.19 - I think you can let me plug in my phone or laptop for 10 minutes? I guess it's back to Starbucks for times like these. Not sure why the low reviews. It's a McDonald's and provides McDonalds food at McDonalds prices. Since the pandemic we usually order off the app and pick up at mobile order parking or drive-thru. It's not gourmet food, but sometimes I'm in the mood for a Big Mac and I prefer McDonalds fries to most other fast food places. We drive a little extra to go to this location as the food is normally better (and pre pandemic, the sit in area was nicer) than our closest location. read more

It's another day at McDonald's drive thru used today. I came here on the way to my final destination. The place was full of people but the drive thru wasn't bad. I was able to order my food with barely a wait. The drive thru girl was pleasant and had to problem adding to my order. Coming to MCD you have to know the fries are the most important thing to get. That being said my fries was hot and ready it could have used more salt but no biggie. My cheese burger was perfect, you know sometimes you can get a cheese burger and it could be dry meaning not enough ketchup nor mustard but this one was just up my alley. I also bought a sundae and just FYI they don't have nuts anymore, very interesting. I picked up my ubereat order in drive way, already said the name and when I came to next window, the lady gave me the wrong order and blamed me for not going inside for pick up and asked me to bring the food she gave me to return. When I bring the food inside, the man worker very rude and said those food can't be return why I bring in. And blame me for not say the name. Just to have a large hot water they charge you $1.87 I mean might as well get a large coffee with my mobile code and it's only $1.00 . I think that they charged a lot . Morning shift and afternoon shift are great. Food is always hot, but what is the hell is wrong with night shift staffs?? I thought maybe it was just one staff who might be having a bad day. After a several orders from different day, my orders is either warm to cold. How to describe it? I don't know if it is undercooked, but it is certainly not hot like how it would be in the afternoon. Just like Charlie, I just had to get a gold coin; however, unlike Charlie, my coin was a sure thing. The drive-thru lines were not bad, and there were no crowds at this clean restaurant just off the 210 freeway. It was my luck day however, because I received two coins, probably due to a communication error in my favor! The Big Mac has always been my favorite burger at McDonald's, and did not disappointed me. There is something about this burger that is either addicting or cult following because it has lasted for so long, and people just don't get tired of it. Everytime I go here at Mcdonalds, there is always something wrong with my order. I specifically told the person in the drive thru (went there at 4/3/21 at 7:13p and whoever I spoke to said the nuggets are in the bottom of the bag) I verified with him if the sauce was sweet and sour and he said yes right away. Must be a joke! Went into McDonalds yesterday to place a breakfast order. There were about 12 customers wandering aimlessly around the kiosks and registers that are now covered with a "we're going digital" cardboard sign. Few knew how to order from the kiosks and the workers - including the manager - seemed to be hiding behind the counter. When multiple people asked for help placing their order the crew just looked at each other. I'm selling my McDonalds stock today. Unless MCD is going drive through only this kiosk only rollout looks like a disaster. read more

Worst customer service ever. I will never come back to this location. My business was not valued at all at this location. As soon as I approached the drive thru, obviously I don't have my app discount code ready because I've been driving. The lady on the speaker said if I had my code and I said no, and started ordering my food. The last thing I wanted to do was to hold up traffic while I looked for a code. So, as soon as I get to the window to pay for my food, I showed my 4 digit code to the older lady who was expecting payment from me, and as soon as she saw me showing her my phone with the code, she rolled her eyes and closed the window on me, as she looked at her co worker who was laughing. I've always loved by the saying "treat people how you want to be treated, which is with patience, kindness, care, and love. This lady did not acknowledge me, did not greet me, and seemed bothered and annoyed that I showed her my code. Very un acceptable, no customer service skills whatsoever. I've been coming here for years but I think most reviewers were posting to vent their frustrations which undoubtedly happened so there's a bigger tilt towards the negative. It's not THAT bad here. The restaurant renovated maybe 1-2 years ago so everything is still fairy modern and updated. There's that one table with the different colored lights that attention grabbing. Warning: The flow of cars sometimes gets clogged up from the drive through lanes on the north side of the building. Sometimes the cars don't hug the left side of the driveway enough and it makes it tough for cars that are just passing through to get past them. It's just annoying and frustrating. They charge for things like extra pickles. No other Mc Donald's I've been to charges. For this reason only I'd avoid this place.

This place is a disaster. Consistently. It's my fault for trying this location again after abstaining for almost a year. They CONSISTENTLY: get orders wrong, refuse to take orders at the counter, the managers will lie and say that "can't" do something and then a random employee will walk over to the cash register and fix an order, let you order from them, get a refund, etc. Today, with my order sitting on the counter behind them, after showing them the digital receipt from THEIR app and my bank they told me to go in the app and use functions that THEIR app doesn't have and couldn't show me on my phone where to find it. After the manager talked in circles without showing me where I needed to go to do whatever they wanted me to do she gave me the bag and told me to "take it". So yeah, this is how it has been at least 90% of the time I've visited this location. Today I'm done, I'll drive further to a different location moving forward. Customer service is NON-EXISTENT at this location. I understand that it is McDonald's and not Starbucks. But what does it take for them to smile a little when they hand you over your food at the drive thru window? They just hand you the food as if they are zombies and with a poker face. It's not just one person doing it, it's every single time we are at the drive thru. Managers, do you not require simple, customer service training for your employees? And while they are giving me the food at the window, I am the one who says "thank you" to them and they NEVER SAY A WORD after that. Having a job is great - going above and beyond what you are required to do is even greater. But to simply smile and acknowledge a customer at the window? 2 days ago I purchase 2 McDouble for 3 dollars. I ate one and the other one I saved for my wife. When she unwrap the burger she notice some white stuff on the meat. She immediately knew what it was. It was fly eggs that were on the meat of the burger. When she told me I was so gross out because I just ate the previous burger that came with it. I cant believe this was serve from your restaurant. Thats the grossest thing I ever seen in my life. The image and the thought of that being in my food leaves a bad thoughts in my head especially from a big franchise like McDonalds. My kids always eat at McDonalds but Im not sure thats the safest thing do anymore. I hope you guys fix that problem and be aware on what your serving. People can really get sick from serving something like that. This mc Donald's is alright. The inside of the store is a bit small, but the kitchen is fairly big so I didn't have to wait that long. There is a lot of parking in front of it so that wasn't too bad. I got a combo meal and to be very honest mc Donald's really isn't that great of a deal for fast food.
