Horrible customer service. Start my order with ordering a quarter pounder meal with no cheese plain ( I know I'm weird), and a chocolate shake. I want the shake and a drink. Slide my card no problem. Wait for my soft drink employer charged me for a shake instead of a soft drink. I say can I order a drink please. She chargers me I slide my card. She says slide it again I do. I've been coming here since High School back in the 70's. I don't come often but every once in a while, I want a Big Mac. What does it take to get it hot and what does it take to get the french fries hot too? One time, they left one of the meat patties off the sandwich. I drove back and asked for the manager. I handed him the bag and he actually questioned me about the missing patty. Are you kidding me!? He did give me a new Big Mac but that wasn't hot either. I need to give up on them. Too expensive too. Horrible customer service. Pulled up first to a double lane drive thru and I'm first in line and no one wants to take the order. I see someone pull up in the other lane and they place their order, another customer in the lane places the order. I'm sitting here wondering when someone will come on the loud speaker. 4 people places their order ahead of me. I yell helloo into the speaker and they finally take my order. Order a combo + burger for my kid along with a cone but asked it to be free for the inconvenience. They claim they couldn't do that. The manger there is an idiot. Over a buck and some change? I wish Yelp had "no star" rating since this McDonald's does NOT deserve any star. Two days ago I placed a mobile order and drove to the nearest McDonald's for pick up. There was a super long line at the drive-thru so I went inside. After 10 minutes waiting at the pick-up counter, one of the employees handed me a iced coffee saying that it was free for the long wait. Several more minutes passed, a guy in manager uniform approached me and snatched the cup out of my hand yelling "It's not yours!" It happened so quick I was bewildered. Blinking my eyes in disbelief, I tried to explain that it was given to me "on the house" by one of the employees but the guy didn't seem to understand me. I doubt if he speaks or understands enough English. He kept yelling, "No it's not yours!" Then he asked what I needed. I showed him the mobile order pick up code on my phone. He checked something and walked over to the other side of the counter, and signaled using his fingers at me to come to the register as if he was calling his dog. For the second time I was shocked but walked there. He demanded I needed to pay. I told him whenever I place a mobile order, it's prepaid using my saved credit card. That's the whole purpose of using mobile order system - to save your time on the line. Again, he didn't seem to understand the situation. He kept saying, "No you pay one, only one's free." It wasn't the issue of buy-one-get-one-free deal. I even showed him my bank app and the money deducted by McDonald's a few minutes ago. It was no use. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "Here, says no pay." OMG! There was a line behind me, people were looking curiously, and I couldn't stand it any more. Humiliated and angry (and hungry), I just walked out of the building. It was like a bad dream. I would have given more stars but the lower rating is strictly for one of the employees. The older lady with blue eyeshadow (Bobbie). I had a 20% off of a McFlurry so I decided to order the mint oreo mcflurry. When I presented my coupon, the system didn't take it. I asked her why wouldn't it take my coupon. I showed her the terms. It said in the terms that items from the $1, $2, $3 menu are excluded. Bobbie said that because my item wasn't $3, it didn't qualify for the coupon. I asked if she could get someone else to ask and she gave a little attitude. I heard her telling some else "I told her but she doesn't understand". No Bobbie, you are the one who doesn't understand. Someone else came up to help and explained that because the mint oreo is a new flavor, the system wouldn't apply it. What she did was charge me for a regular oreo McFlurry (it was the same price) but just told the girl making it that it was mint. I haven't been to a McDonalds in forever so on my way to work today I decided to stop off at this particular one to get some pancakes. Well after standing in line for 10 minutes and I was the only one in line at the time no one took my order. The employees knew I was there some even looked at me, no one acknowledged me, smiled or asked for my order. Good thing I wasn't in a hurry. They moved at the pace of a glacier didn't seem too interested in helping me so I finally left. This was in the middle of the breakfast rush. I went inside intending on ordering take-out because the drive through was taking too long and based on the McDonalds in my area (Altadena), I had no intention of eating inside. However, when I got there, I noticed the decor was so nice and it felt so relaxing. As I stood there waiting for my food, I noticed that everybody was so organized and there was no chaos like the McDonalds in my area. The Manager or could have been the Asst Mgr was interacting with this crew professionally and they were all in sync. I changed my mind about taking the food to go and asked for the mgr. His name was Cameron, and he was young but so affable and professional. He made sure my order was changed and when it was ready, an employee picked up the tray and escorted me to a table.
