I try and be fair with reviews, and this is no exception. I waMore than fair with this one actually. My visit starts out with a kid walking in the door behind me buttoning his pants. That would be one of the employees that proceeded right back to the kitchen. Hmmm. I had placed my order through the McD app with pick up at the counter. The kid at the counter didn't know how to find it in the system. Enter the manager who was less than friendly. They quickly find my order and hand it to me with hair hanging from the bottom of my cup. Hopefully not from the kid that was buttoning his pants.... The restaurant itself wasn't super clean and I never saw an employee cleaning. They have also gotten rid of the public side soda machines, so refills have to be done at the counter. When there is a line, you have to wait for refills. They also aren't allowed to take your used cup back, so you get a new one each time. Not a great experience and won't be coming back to this location. read more

Terrible, the management is non-existent or ignorant. Your overall rating is 1.4. Hello? Today, again more than 20 minutes in the drive-thru for "fast" food. Almost died of old age but finally got to first window, asked me f I wanted both burgers on the buy one get one free, I let them know I didn't order two burgers. They got it figured out and got my food but not before my wife who went inside to use the restroom texted me "Where are u?". She ordered a McChicken inside and asked for light lettuce add pickle, she commented no receipt from kiosk so had to wait for someone so she could get order number, no one came (even with need assistance light blinking) she stopped someone who go her a receipt and order number. Went across the road to Safeway, special order tag on sandwich, bag, and receipt and yet no pickles. Sure, you could say it's no big deal, and in the grand scheme of things it isn't, it's just sub-par, and for an outfit not built on being the greatest hamburger or anything, it's these types of hmmm non-important details McD's customers at the very least expect to be met. This is not a McDonald's, or at least it's a shameful representation of McDonalds U and the McDonalds way. Once maybe. Consistently bad reviews and experiences make for obvious ineptitude. Get your act together. If you don't know how to consistently deliver, go back to corporate and learn how to better represent the brand. read more

Every time I go to this McDonalds I get f*****. They cannot take an accurate order to save their life. I order a burger and i get a chicken sandwich. I order fries and dont get them. This time I ordered two happy meals for my grandchildren and get only the nuggets ??? When asked where are the happy meals OOPS?? We will have to recharge you. The service is the worst ever. You order your meal in the drive thru. They have you pull around and wait and then they forget about your order. We watched 10 people go thru and get their food. My boyfriend and I went in and ordered nuggets and a quarter pounder. When opening the quarter pounder, mind you I used to be a shift manager at this very same McDonald's, there was a 4:1 wrapper on the bottom of the burger. My boyfriend pulled it out of the burger and I instantly recognized the paper, and we honestly threw that patty away because that's disgusting. I called the store 3 times and no answer. I ordered a large fry cooked to order(because they were slow and when they are slow I know they don't cook fresh food for cars coming through out of convenience) and a hot fudge Sunday. They immediately handed out everything. But to our surprise these were the nastiest fries. Like they had been left in there for a hour. I understand working fast food can be irritating. I come here regularly and my order is always correct. The staff is great! Always friendly and professional. Keep in mind this is one of the busiest Mcdonalds. The staff can't control how busy it gets but they do their best and they are hustling. Many of these employees are young individuals giving it their all, so showing them some understanding and patience goes a long way. read more

When we ordered the girl told us they were out of ice cream.... no problem even though there was a long line of cars ahead of us & behind us (so were stuck in line) When we get to first window... we told the girl we didn't have an order since they were out. My wife says to the girl "wish they had designed this so someone can get out of line" she says "sorry", we tell her "it's no problem, it isn't her fault". When we get to the second window a lady who we assume is the manager says "we appreciate it if you don't talk to our girls like that" ??? What? I've been waiting too long (feels like 10 minutes) for the replacement for the order they screwed up that took too long (felt like 20 minutes) to make. My original salad had rancid cherry tomatoes on it. I literally had to spit it out and asked another person in my car to verify that it wasn't my imagination. They spit the tomato out too! Four items, yes four ! items were missing from this latest order. It's not like they were busy. It was 8 am. And why should a consumer be expected to take inventory of each and every dining/take out/drive thru experience? Of course we called once we got home and let's just say there was a complete lack of concern and oh I don't know, urgency? McDonalds Newport is the only game in town and if I added up all the screws up, missing/wrong or inedible items over my years of patronage, the list would be pages long. We came to pick up some McGriddles today and just had a special request of using egg whites and no cheese. Somehow the cashier was charging us more than the usual price. Please note, we've been there before and had no problems with this type of request. When the cashier was asked about the price, she seemed offended and had a look of "I'm right and you're wrong". The thing was, the manager on duty was also there and didn't seem like they wanted to help out with the situation. Whatever happened to customer service? We also got this weird vibe, that we weren't welcome there. Could it be that we're a minority? Lots of Caucasians up here.
